My partner and I came here for our 2 year anniversary meal and it was incredible, such a shame they are closing. The staff are kind and welcoming too!

Once you get past the very friendly service , awsome atmosphere and great decor you arrive at quite simply the greatest burger meal ever!!! Had a great evening for my lads birthday and can’t wait to come back

Living near to the V-ATE smoke house we attend regularly. The staff are great and remember my daughter’s choice, real personal experience welcoming us by name. Food is great. A quick game of mini bowling after great fun. Good menu choice and nice coffee

We’ve been meaning to visit for a while but now regret leaving it so long! It was a fairly last minute decision to go, but was easy to book and well worth the journey. Bowling was great fun and reasonably priced. Followed by a meal which was delicious. The atmosphere was great, service very friendly and despite some slight confusion with our order, which was rectified quickly and efficiently, the food was piping hot and really tasty. We will definitely return.

Wow what a lovely few hours we spent there. My Wife and I and two grandsons 8/10. From the friendly greeting upon arrival to the drink and food. Milkshakes were heavenly (alcohol on the drinks list also) Great food for everyone, kids loved their fries n chicken tenders. Wife was gluten free but she had a good selection to choose from (for a change) I had a spicy garlic chicken. We all had enough food, there were desserts but we all abstained. After the food we ordered more drinks, then we went and had a go at the Duck pin bowling, we had a right laugh playing that, the staff were all young and very professional and polite, we was there over a couple of hours . I went to pay the bill and it was £51. Food drinks and bowling for four of us, I’ve spent more in McDs ( which is across the road) with no experience. Found this place just by chance when looking for a pit stop and glad we did. The food was delicious, good value (we purchased from the 2 for £15 lunch menu) and loved the decor. Such a shame we live nearly 2 hours away so unlikely to visit again unless passing

Chose this restaurant whilst travelling as my son loves cars and he wasn’t disappointed. Neither were anyone else as we all enjoyed our food and drinks. The service was great and the bill was very reasonable, especially compared to similar chain restaurants. Would definitely visit again when we’re next driving through.

Went as a spur of the moment visit. Waited as the staff were all chatting to get a table. The lady got off the phone and said there was a table. There was 3 of us. We was taken to the back bit menus put down and then left for 20 mins. Tried to get the attention of a server and they were all too busy talking. Not happy as travelled to visit.

Looked for a place to stop for lunch on the A17 that wasn't the usual garage or golden arches offerings. Great food, loved the decor and flawless service by Chloe. I was shown this place by my partner who had seen the tik tok and yea it looked sick the cars etc but I did think it was another gimmick café/restaurant. Oh boy was I wrong.... when we went in there was a big line of youngsters ordering takeaway milkshakes (knew they where going to be good) we sat and ordered and couldn't stop looking around the place and reading the history about the Restoring of the vehicles and admiring the awesome cars and decor. The bowling is a nice touch and we will definitely book it for next time. But... the real nitty and gritty (for me) is the food, and bloody Nora did it deliver... I got the sausage (can't remember what it was exactly) it was but I loved it, the burgers are sooo juicey and flavoursome, oh are the chips ..... hell yes 🙌 the best chip cruch and flavour. And grab a milkshake even if its for the way home. big thank you to out waiting staff Harlee and charlie fantastic service. We can't wait to return

After seeing the restaurant on TikTok we had to visit and we were NOT disappointed- this place is amazing. The vehicles are fantastic adding to the overall atmosphere, but best of all was the service and the food! I would 100% recommend! We will most certainly be back. I had the brisket lasagne and my husband had the rack of ribs - they were delicious! The children loved their kids meals as well.

Booked a table for 7 people and booked to bowl. The service we received was excellent. From first calling and speaking with Ellie, nothing was an issue. She went above and beyond to give us a great experience. We visited for my sons 16th birthday. She even decorated our table with Birthday banners. Service was very quick. Nothing was an trouble. Will definitely be returning.

Stopped here to break up a journey. There were 12 of us and we hadn’t booked, we were greeted warmly and quickly seated. The food was really good and the kids loved their milkshakes. Would definitely recommend it.

Live this place - it’s so unique with the different cars made into seats. The staff are very friendly and made us feel most welcome. The food was very good quality, cooked well and good portions. We went later in the evening so more themed for adults only

We love the food at V-ate and would eat here much more often if it was just a bit more reasonably priced. We used to visit the original restaurant, before it moved to this service station, which had a better atmosphere and felt a bit more special. I think the addition of the small bowling alley has changed the venue in a negative way, it was better with just the dining tables, and has cheapened the venue a bit. The whole service station feel makes the high price of food and drinks a bit harder to swallow (no pun intended). I have noticed the restaurant is getting quieter over the time it has been on this site, and I think a price reduction is needed to attract more people, but that is just my opinion.

This is the 3rd time we have visited and this time we requested a table for 4 adults plus the truck table for our 4 year old grandson. He had seen the truck on our previous visit and so longed to have his lunch in it. Thank you V-ATE for making that possible. The food was great and we followed the meal with a bowling session. Great fun. The staff were wonderful, making the whole 2 hours enjoyable and ensuring that we had everything we needed at all times. All in all much more than just a meal very reasonably priced.

This is a sweet little place. The tables are all themed which is cute but a little small. We had 8 people around one table but as three of our boys are teenagers we needed more room. The food was great. I had brisket lasagne which was different, in a good way. My boys each chose a burger and were defeated by them. Definitely coming back soon, will be bowling too.

We have eaten at V-Ate many times in the past and have always enjoyed the delicious food they serve. The burgers are amazing, the lasagne is to die for and the milkshakes are yummy. The menu offers a good selection of food options, is always presented well and is piping hot. On Sunday we decided to sample the new roast dinner and we were definitely impressed. There was a good selection of vegetables, the roasts and yorkie puds were homemade and certainly not from a bag and the meat was cooked perfectly. The portion size was deceptive but definitely more than enough and the homemade stuffing was out of this world! 😋😋😋 We ate everything we were served and left with very full bellys…we were very much satisfied and will be back to enjoy it again. If you’re looking for a funky, vibrant, buzzing place to eat then head for V-Ate. It’s a unique place with a cool atmosphere, the food is of a high standard and the staff are extremely efficient and polite!!!

We were here for the Sunday lunch event. It was quite peaceful and welcoming, yet nice to see families enjoying the food and banter. Service was pleasant, swift and courteous. We decided to have 2 courses and hot drinks. The main course of 3 meats was delicious. The vegetables were all freshly cooked and there was gravy aplenty. Couldn’t fault the food or the service. The puddings were cheesecake and oaty apple crumble. Very tasty and decent portions. The feeling here is that the Staff care and work hard to make it an enjoyable experience. We will look forward to returning and trying the mid week menu. There’s something for all ages here and it appears to be a hidden gem. First time and we will be back thanks all.

We went for breakfast with Santa . The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. We have been many time before but not for breakfast. The staff were excellent with the children. The Santa books were spaced out too so it didn’t feel really busy .
