Best Portuguese food in London and at a reasonable price. Small but well finished restaurant with very friendly staff. Moqueca was a favourite. Extensive selection of gluten free options.

Unfortunately my partner and I had a pretty bland dinner here. We ordered 6 different dishes and only one of them was genuinely nice. Then the others were quite flavourless, with the chickpea croquettes being really tasteless. We also had a couple of cocktails that were poorly made. The staff were really nice and service was good but with such disappointing food I can’t see us returning.

I’ve eaten here in small groups a few time, the food, wine, service and ambience are all excellent. In December 2022 we hired the entire restaurant for our work Christmas party. The per person head charge was very competitive, and Nick made it really easy to organise everything in the run up. There were 60 of us on the night, buffet style eating with plenty of room to sit, mingle and dance! The food was fantastic, and the staff were so attentive of us. Would highly recommend this place no matter how big or small an evening you have planned!

Such a gorgeous evening at Uva for a group birthday event. Staff were delightful, food was great, lovely atmosphere and we couldn’t be more thrilled.

Uva had generously donated a voucher to our charity raffle at the Bellenden Big Lunch, and I won it. "Unlimited tapas for 2 and a glass of house wine." I kept it for a few months, having no idea that the food was so wonderful. We had 5 dishes, and we would have had 4 of them all over again if we'd had the space. The staff were exceptionally attentive. My companion is coeliac and Uva showed us the full check lists of dishes suitable for every food requirement. Thanks for your generosity, Uva. Visited Uva on Sunday. My first time at a Portuguese Tapas restaurant. I had seen a recent review by a vegan food blogger who recommended this lovely place as they offered an unusual menu for plant based eaters as well as an interesting menu for omnis. The interior felt fresh, airy and spacious. We were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff who are obviously very passionate about the food and drink they are offering. The food was all so delicious…one of those dinners that you just don’t want to end! How eating should be…The menu changes often and really we can’t wait to go back. Thanks to all the staff who made this such a wonderful Sunday afternoon. See you again soon.

We had a mid week meal here and were very pleased. Short but regularly changing menu with very reasonable prices. Service was excellent. My top picks for our meal were the pork belly and octopus but all the dishes were very good. A lovely addition to the area.

Friendly service, delicious food - what more can you ask for? We had a selection of small plates - tapas style - and everything was excellent, made with care and attention. Highlights included perfectly crunchy grilled sardines, tasty bacalhau a bras, and my new favourite thing - pica pau, or stir-fried beef with pickles. And Super Bock on tap!

This restaurant is exceptional. What a wonderful selection of Portuguese wines at a great price point. Amazing selection of tapas for the veggie, vegan and carnivore. And pescatarian. We celebrated our daughter’s birthday here and it was fabulous! The range of tapas was delicious for all including the vegan range. We were transported back to being in Portugal with the taste of the food. We tried the whole menu and we were not...

Really liked this small place in London. All tapas were nice, the cauliflower and the pork belly in particular. Nice people working here that are easy to talk to and willing to help.

It's always sad when your local, go-to cafe changes hands, but the pandemic has shifted things around for all, and Uva has stepped into the breech nicely. It's bedded in as a great addition to the neighbourhood, with excellent coffee and a laid back, vibe....

I couldn’t be happier here, it’s a cosy vibe in an undercover courtyard with brilliant wine and lovely staff. Plants everywhere are always a plus. A great hideaway in a cute part of Peckham.

We had a delicious tapas supper here. Wonderful atmosphere and even better food. Get the octopus! Have also been here for coffee in the mornings which is equally great.
