Placed order, waited for ages for it to be delivered and then cancelled. Not happy

Absolute joke asked for the wrap with the chips on the side paid extra for it when I called I was then told they didn’t check the notes and that was not there problem said they could send me chips out for a charge of chips and delivery fee when In reality it should be for free considering they didn’t check the notes. Gave the wrap a try asked for sauce inside there was a teardrop worth. Felt like I was eating sand . Don’t go asked to speak to a manager told me no one was a manager

Puede dar fe, esta es una gran opción de noche. Las pizzas y hamburguesas son excelentes (y grandes recetas originales - - - - prueba el Macho Man! ) Piensa que cualquiera que disfrute de Falstaff - comiéndolo en la AM debería probar este lugar. Las patatas fritas son geniales, y (aunque es una mención muy específica / artículo) el ajo mayo es casi cuaffable. El servicio siempre ha sido rápido, cortés y educado. Excelente.

Absaloutley 10/10 recommend I asked for a thin garlic bread and they provided the best garlic bread I’ve ever had, the chicken wrap was amazing and the chocolate fudge cake was great to if your looking for somewhere cheap and great food I recommend urban oven.

Food okay bit doughy for me but that's just choice Door that did not close easily caused bad cold breeze through the takeaway. Ordering bit disjointed as more than one person doing it little communication between them Ordered went to get a drink from a Tesco's but the guy would not accept an order had been made when came back very pestering man Even the order slip number did not make his stop moaning and staring. The food was late, stone cold and the order was incorrect. Shocking experience considering it’s a midweek order and they won’t be busy. To top it off, when we said the food was cold and incorrect, the lady on the phone was rude and hung up on us when we told her this and asked for a refund.

Food arrived stone cold, I then rang up and requested new food. Refused to help me and the staff were very rude. Won’t be using them again.

I only took soup for my nightshift and thought it was enough - (but it wasn’t); so I ordered a chicken kebab and a Nutella cheesecake from Urban Oven. Unfortunately, the chicken was thin, tasteless griddled chicken. The cheese cake bit, tasted like it was out of a packet; with the thinnest layer of Nutella possible! Very disappointing for nearly £16 (with delivery). ☹️

Ordered kabab meat n chips which I've not had for several years. The chips were hot and crunchy, the kabab was nice, not fatty, but not over cooked too. I enjoyed it and the plus no bad tum the next day which normally happens with kabab 🙄

All the food was great, especially the pizzas 🍕

Place looks cleaned and well looked after. Prices not to bad but must say chicken kebab was disappointing I'm used to getting kebab meat with the chicken and left not as full as I like after a good night on the drink. Staff ok too.

The food is good and the performance is fast

Simply ordered just some cheesy chips and garlic sauce after a 13 hour shift and what I received was the worst things I’ve smelt and looked at, it was absolutely disgusting quality, taste was even worse I didn’t know it was possible for cheesy chip to be so bad and the garlic sauce looked like someone had nabbed some before hand 🤮

Ordered 3 wraps 2 kebab chips and garlic 1 mixed meat with salad and garlic. Garlic sauce was off tasted sour the chips were not cooked all went in the bin. The kebab meat over cooked n dry contacted them on Facebook didn't reply just blocked my messages. Ordered through deliveroo who are just as bad and will only give a small part refund. Dont waste yr money Go elsewhere

Portions are terrible and food is overpriced, £4.50 for a chicken burger which is just frozen chicken steaks fried, that doesn’t even come with chips. Portions of donner meat are £5 terrible portions comes in a tray not a box and didn’t taste right. Paid £13 for those two things to be delivered and only ate the burger. Waste of money won’t be ordering again. Although delivery is was fast took half an hour from Durham to spennymoor.

And lesson learnt as they were the only restaurant with available delivery…….now I know why !!!

Am I the only one who feels like an absolute donut ordering food from these lot? The food is awful, they exploit drunken individuals, despite the fact we weren’t drunk, they still treated us as if we were drunk with the poor quality of food and customer service. The floor was a slipping hazard with filf and grease all over it, as it was the end of the night, there was someone sweeping up, but brushing it all into our feet with no respect, food brushed all over me and my friends, I felt like a greasy doner kebab on the floor. (The floor looked like it hadn’t been sweeped since the afternoon). In conclusion, I wouldn’t feed this food to my pet rat. They’ve seen better meals in Durham sewers. DO NOT RISK IT, even if you’re starving

Slipped on floor, staff attitude disgraceful, within 10 minutes another customer slipped so a yellow floor sign put out then a staff member slipped …. Nothing done! Accident waiting to happen. Greasy floor in take awaY. Staff attitude disgraceful.

Definitely a good choice for comfort food

Placed an order from UberEats with one pizza and two burgers for home delivery. I never received the order. I am very unhappy about this awful experience.

Pizzas was hot and delicious and they are having offer on every monday and tuesday so if we will buy one pizza we will get one for freeee.

That wrap last night was phenomenal.

Don’t question it - just order and leave (and have a laugh with the staff most of them are really fun to chat with on non-chaotic nights).

HSE revealed the hygiene in this place is shocking, you wouldn't know it if you were drunk but for any sober person, it's best to go to a more safe establishment.

We ate here twice. We'd been to the theatre each night and wanted somewhere for a snack after the show. This place fitted the bill. IT IS NOT A LUXURY RESTAURANT - it is a pizza delivery company with a few tables and benches where you can sit to eat your pizza. It is also very cheap - £8.00 for two pizzas and two cans of coke. The pizzas on our first night were better than on our second. Where on our first night they were fresh, crisp and tasty they were slightly greasy on our second night. Based on our experiences of the first n9ight we returned for our second night; We wouldn't have gone back given the experience of the second night.

Disgusting. Cold meat served. Still frozen. When we complained we saw them take the food into the back all put their fingers in it, laughed, then put it in the microwave. Must be used to ripping off drunk people. We didnt have a drink and saw what they were doing to peoples food. Would never go again. Going to report them to environmental health. Neve ever go here no matter how hungry you are!!

Me and my mates came to Durham too late and we were stranded till 3.30am, the takeaway shut at 2.45 and they stayed open 45 minutes longer just for us 4 to help us sort a lift home to Darlington. Nicest bunch of men you could meet, and the food was unbelievable 5 stars and will always be coming back - can’t reccomend enough

Best pizza in Durham. The urban quattro is amazing, 4 cheese on garlic base. Basically a garlic bread with cheese taken to the next level!

Popped in to Urban Oven after a few drinks and got a special kebab , pepperoni pizza and some cheesy chips. The man behind the counter was extremely rude. We didn't have to wait long and got our food and headed for a taxi. It wasn't till we got home that we opened the food. They had forgotten to put a pitta in my kebab and there was 3 pieces of dry chicken and a small burnt slither of kebab meat. The pizza was undercooked and we could not eat it. The chips were pathetic and soggy with the smallest sprinkling of cheese. Waste of money. Will not be back.

I was recently provided an abysmal service by a Urban Oven, as my preferred pizza delivery company was closed on Tuesdays. Urban Oven took no care in the packing of food, and the food itself was barely edible. Before even receiving my order, I was notified that the desert I ordered wasn’t in stock. Although, I was able to receive a prompt refund through the company I ordered through. Once the order arrived, 30 minutes late, it was immediately clear no care was taken. The pizza box was soggy, and a number of food items were also soggy. Both the pizzas I ordered had barely being cooked, they were luke warm and it was like eating dough, and I could even taste the tomato pure. After reheating the pizza and eating a small portion I decided to not eat anymore, as the quality was incredibly poor, and one of the pizzas I was concerned as to wether it was even safe to eat. So I’ve thrown away both pizzas. The only item from my order that was of satisfactory quality was the 2 bottles of Coca Cola which were overpriced, and weren’t even chilled. But as it was the Coca Cola brand and it was pre-packed the taste itself was fine, as you’d expect from a mass produced drink. I contacted the company I ordered the pizzas from online immediately after receiving my order and made it clear I wish to complain about the service provided and they were able to contact the Urban Oven and provide me a full refund of the order. Simply put, the service it atrocious and I’ve had better microwave pizzas for 1/6 of the cost. However, I didn’t have any pizzas to cook and also didn’t want to cook today, which is why I decided to give Urban Oven a try. The only good thing is that my order was promptly refunded, but I believe this was primarily due to the company I ordered through contacting Urban Oven on my behalf. Either that, or Urban Oven is unable to defend the poor quality of food and are unable to provide a satisfactory reason to charge me what they were going to. The other reviews certainly reflect the poor service provided by Urban Oven and I would not recommend Urvan Oven, if anything I’d recommend avoiding them if you can, it isn’t worth the money.

We ordered via the Just Eat App. Offered many times and chose one a little later, the confirmation was thirty minutes after the requested. After fifteen minutes late we called and were told the driver is on his way and will be with you in five minutes. Called twenty minutes later and was told the driver had just arrived to pick up the food. Customer service was pretty lack lustre and decided to cancel the order at this point. Never again.

Second into to the shop, before a surge of customers. Only ordered cheesy chips and a garlic source, thinking it would be quick in time for our taxi. Completely wrong. People ordering pizzas after us were walking away. Decided to ask where our order was, when he realised that the ticket was never taken round to the kitchen. After finally getting out chips, we ran to the taxi. Once home, no garlic sauce, chips were over done with a tiny sprinkle of cheese. Will not be going back.

Chicken Parmo = simply got me through my degree at Durham! Two for Tuesday Pizza tied perfectly with a champions league football. Pizza was grand!

tried these a couple of times via just eat - food is good, delivery drivers always pleasant, unfortunately on each occasion the food has been lukewarm and that takes the edge off. Shame.

Usually order with urban oven don't usually have a problem, however tonight we ordered our usual order, lamb kofter burger, chicken nuggets, chips, cheesy garlic bread, onion rings 2 cans of cherry coke. All of the chips are stale, the lamb kofter burger hand no halomi cheese and humis, the onion ring are burnt. When we rang them up and told them they offered us a refund, soon as we spoke to just eat they told them they didn't agree with the refund and they would send a driver to collect the food 1 hour later (food that's in the wheel bin outside) when we said this we heard a rude women in the background telling the man on the phone to tell us to f..k off, I think this is absolutely appalling and would not recommend ordering from urban oven, I hope this can be sorted out with just eat as people clearly have no idea how to run a business. we ordered another meal from pizza king up the street and it's just how the menu is stated and it's all hot.

Takeaways from here never fail to disappoint. Their chicken burgers are divine especially sweet chilli. Delivery time is about standard but if it's a bit over worth the wait.

Pedí una pizza para llevar y me dieron un numero de turno para recibirla. Espere sobre 15 minutos y no me habían servido. Reclame y me dijeron que no había pedido o no les constaba mi petición. Al enseñarles el recibo, que por suerte pedí para pasarlo como gasto a mi empresa se dieron cuenta y me la prepararon, tardando otros 15 minutos mínimo.

We ordered a delivery over the phone at about 11.30 on a Saturday night. The girl on the other end of the phone didn't seem to understand what I was saying when I gave my postcode and address ( thought atherton street was outside Durham)although eventually managed to read it back correctly after repeating myself several times, which is understandable when busy. After reading back the correct order, delivery address and phone number for contact I thought nothing more of it until I got a phonecall saying they were outside which was actually the wrong address by about four houses on the other side of the road. After giving the correct address I was greeted by a man who informed me that he had just woken up a disabled man living on the other side of the road to me- which I was horrified to hear- and was berated as if the error was my fault, which it wasn't, and after trying to explain that to him I was met with a very sarcastic response of "well at least you've got your food now." I suggest you employ people who can do their job properly and that you don't speak to your customers like they're stupid because believe it or not I know how to order food and my own address.

They are not the fastest in the world so if you order a take away, order for about 20 minutes before you want it but other than that, they're fab. Good pizza, nice choice or ingredients and good price.

We went in at the end of a night out, ordered kebabs paid for them, got change then waited on our food.ten mins later got told we had to pay in english pounds as they dont accept scottish notes.needless to say we left.wont be back.

Second takeaway experience via Just Eat and Urban Oven has hit the mark again. Kofta wraps tonight were amazing and you could tell the ingredients used were of good quality. Delivery was pretty swift too.

Stayed in Durham for the weekend and found this delicious takeaway after coming from Slug and lettuce, very clean and offers a varied menu had a fab burger and cheesy chips friends had wraps which were delicious, kebab wasn't just chucked in a tray it had salad and sauce separate with lovely chunky chicken pieces and a Pitta, would definitely return, puts any takeaways in Cleveland to shame in every way!

ピザを取ろうとなったものの、いつも利用するドミノピザには正直飽きてきた…のでピザ好きの義理の弟のおすすめということでこちらのお店に注文しました。チェーン店にないような新鮮なメニューばかりで迷いましたが、3種類くらい食べたけど全部美味しくて良い意味でびっくりしました。生地の焼き具合ももちもちふわふわ、材料も野菜などしゃきしゃきしていて新鮮な印象でした。極め付けに、チーズ（モッツアレラ）がとてもミルキーで美味しい！ダラムにいってピザを食べることになったら間違いなくUrban Ovenにまた頼みます。おすすめのメニューはBangkok Banquet。スイートチリソースがアクセントになっていてほかのトッピングとの相性も良くすごく美味しかったです。ちなみにおそらく着席タイプのレストランではなく持ち帰りか配達のみのピザ屋さんです。

Cheap, quality takeaway pizza, ordered online in advance and a bit irritatingly it came nearly half an hour EARLY. Usually this would be great however as half of us weren't home yet it was a bit inconvenient but still he apologised and the food was still fine so no major complaints! I often use Urban Oven and really recommend it if you want a pizza in Durham as you'll get great prices and consistently good food!

Very disappointing. Despite paying for a £6 plus pizza, tap water was not provided when requested, nor toilet services (despite offering to pay for the cost), even though there being seating. Very disappointed in the customer service, and therefore will not be going to this establishment again.

Both a late night favourite and popular for those nights when cooking is too much effort Urban Oven provides a good pizza. I often order online and then pick it up just as it's coming out of the oven :) The cheapest pizzas start from £3.
