Derwentside Pizza in County Durham

Tried to order through justeat and pay with cash, had a missed call not even a second then had my order cancelled because I didn't answer the call, called back and was told to order again with card . . . Tried and the restaurant had changed the delivery radius so I could no longer order, not sure if it's because I was using a discount or what but absolutely appalling behaviour.

shocking service. ordered just a pizza and chips at 9:30 just got here at quater past midnight. rang several times finally got an answer at half 11 saying the driver had left with the food. called again at 12 driver had still just left with the food. its got here and its freezing. so disappointed. will not be ordering again.

Ordered for delivery at 8pm got a call at 9 saying 20 mins it will be there. It came at 9.55, the chips were rock hard and the smash burgers buns were wet and sodden. Tried eating it but ended up in the bin and 40 quid gone

Called here on way past with work in the early hours tried there donner wraps. Although packed, the food service was quick and friendly. The food was amazing and good portion for the cost. Would return if in the area highly recomended

Placed an order then received notification that my order had been declined ‘coincidentally’ the exact time they stop doing delivery. Notably other times I have ordered from here the driver has phoned up after placing an order on Justeat saying they require an extra fee for delivery! Absolute joke this restaurant/takeaway take over an hour to deliver and when they do they expect you to pay extra when the food is cold. Unless you live near would avoid because they lie about delivery time and cancel orders last minute.

Absolutely disgusting waited way past the waiting time for the expected delivery time... Grandchildren waiting for food... Apparently manager rang me to confirm order.… no phone call at all.… horrid people horrid service.… never again!!

Helpfull chap on phone,promised delivery in 30 mins,it took about 50,pizza was cold on delivery and the chips soggy,meatfeast only a few trimmings of beef and there was not much cheese very bland but they were very busy

I not a Pizza type of guy Soooo... don't want to give people the wrong impression... I prefer home cooked Italian foods with a decent Wine, however my mate swears this is great food, as I was doing a favour picking up his Pizza.. D

Love the variety of pizza, especially the Indian base ones, very tasty and full of flavour and toppings. Great deals and offers always on. Garlic breads are delicious too. Always quick for collection. Don't like to go anywhere else for pizza now we've found here.

Really poor food quality staff need better customer care but owner is no better prices really inflated and food quality is dire and unhygienic I know of 4 different customers in the past month who became sick after eating food delivered from this business

Just had a delivery & all food was cold & the cheese garlic bread didn't have mushrooms on,don't normally have a problem but disappointed this time.

Ordered 2 pizzas at 7.05pm to be told it would take 45 minutes for myself and 2 hungry 10 year olds. After 2 phone calls to ask where our delivery was it turned up at 8.50pm.. only an hour late!!!! Both pizzas freezing cold. And the price the driver charged me was more than what I was told on the phone and the confirmation text they sent. Will not be ordering from here anymore and would advise people if they want hot food delivered on time do not use Derwentside pizza.

Had a deal online for a £5 half and half wrap when in the shop tried to charge £18 when I mentioned the offer they said prices had changed and it's now £11 the wrap was meant to be half kebab half salt and pepper chicken there was 2 small bits of chicken you can tell they are use to dealing with drunks as they treat everyone like they are drunk won't be back

Absolutely lovely people food was amazing, didn’t judge me once in my Burberry cap and shorts, kept my pregnant mrs happy also so banging lads top job HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Staff were fantastic. Went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and the food was beautiful. Danny is an absolute gentleman!

Took 2.5 hours to receive food then food turned up wrong and freezing cold, even after trying to warm it it's actually discusting, total waste of money! I wouldn't reccomend

Base of pizza tasted stale which is a strange one. The chicken salt and pepper chips had about 12 chips in. Not the best.

Once again we wait for food more than 2 hours. I called to ask what was going on. I heard: the driver is on the road, 30 minutes later the food is still gone. This is the last time I order. The food is mostly slightly warm.

Best takeaway in consett, cheesy chips are just unbelievable. Staff good crack and funny. Reccomend, food comes in a decent a time and is always lovely when arrives

Ordered online to collect which I never do but begrudged paying £4 delivery from Consett to Ebchester for being "out of the area" I am a delivery driver and and its £1,50 for delivery in these areas! Where do I start with the food. we ordered a Meatball pizza, and 2 sauces and wedges and when at checkout the £1 sauces were showing as £4 each so went back and removed them and thought that was it. Great food sorted! Collected pizza, came home and it was a London Pizza, so son went all the way back and told them and basically they said it was correct order. Rang support, snotty man in Leeds, shouldn't be working with public with an attitude like that, shop offered discount to reorder the pizza again, a £14 pizza, I don't think so, but Derwentside Pizza ended up taking the chips off the top and adding meatballs to what is essentially a margarita pizza, If I wanted a tasteless margarita I would of ordered one . Absolutely disgusting the pizza was, in the bin the whole order went, £22 worth of food and have now ordered else where. Wont be ordering from there again. Not the first time my order was wrong and they blame you for this.

Thought we would try here as our takeaway of choice is closed at the minute. Very disappointed with our meal. Ordered on Just Eat told 20mins for collection. Turned up 20mins after ordering and they had nothing ready, cue another 20 min wait. Pizza was really bland and overly greasy for a pepperoni. Chips were overcooked frozen fries and the garlic sauce was really watery. Kebab meat was nice enough. We won’t be using Derwentside again I’m afraid.

We normally get our takeaways from Derwentiside, but don't know what went wrong with it this time, Order was not correct, I did phone up about it, but the most disappointing factor was they tasted like they were made the day before and heated up, nothing like their normally quality, they were over cooked, tasteless, thats us on a diet for a while!

I have ordered food regularly from here. The food has always been hot and well prepared. The meals are spot on always and if there is a problem they rectify it promptly. In a town with so many Pizza shops charging a fortune for inedible food it is refreshing to know the owner there really cares about the quality of his food and goes over and above to ensure customer satisfaction. I recommend this shop as it has always given me first class service and meals

Do I even have to give one star?? Awful margerita pizza and when I complained I had nothing but abuse. I’ve had better frozen pizzas out of Tesco!!

We’ve ordered a mega munchie box which was 20 minutes late and with the wrong order in it. We have order a stuffed pizza and came as normal when rang the shop the only thing they could offer us was a bottle of pop

I was absolutely disappointed that I had to pay extra for delivery never in my life have I paid for £4 for delivery consett to medomsley said it was out the area what a joke never heard anything so silly in my life if I hadn't of had kids waiting it would of been sent back.well where do I start about the food that was Absolute joke had about 6 chips n a couple of Scabby bits of chicken in the wrap. pizza wasn't the best never again will I order from here and I would definitely not Recommend this place

Worst food I’ve ever experienced. Halloumi fries were powdery, salt and pepper chips were under cooked greasy with burnt onions and peppers. Kebab was dripping in grease. Will not be ordering again!!

Be very careful if you order through justeat as you can get confirmations orders have been accepted, but 90 mins later when you ring the shop claim they havent had any your order, or their justeat machine isnt working.Ive waited ages for a pizza before & when chasing this up get told what do I expect they are the most popular piZza shop in Consett & sell more food than Dominos (tax man take note). Their workers are very rude & surley. & arent any better in person having waited 20Minutes before for a portion of chips and garlic sauce. The fact Consett has so many of these pizza shops the food in all of them is very pricey compared to most other towns in the North East. Orders regularlly turn up wrong, items missing etc - i’ll never order again. Ever.

I must say that the pizza is always so good everytime i come here. Never had any problems and will continue to come back again. I always get a warm welcome from danny everytime i come in :-) keep up the good work 💝🍕

Just recieved a delivery from Derwentside pizza meal was cold took 90 mins to come chips were a cold solid lump pizza was cold burgers greasy and cold we ended up going to bed put us off our meal

Ordered pizza paid upfront ages later rang to ask if it was onthe way rude woman stated they thought it was a hoax I said nobody would pay up front if it was a hoax she had a very bad attitude problem no apology I won't order anything else from them

I dont really eat Pizza that often but ordered 2 last night within the shop because I couldnt be bothered to cook after a day trip out. There were at leat 7 men and 2 ladies working behind the counter where all seemed to be busy so it must be popular. We had aapprox a 15 minute wait for the 10" pizzas (x 2) which was a little slow in my opinion. However they were lovely when we eventually got them home

Ordered a Roma pizza last week was lovely. Ordered again tonight, paid extra for chilli which was forgot, asked for chilli on wrap that was forgot .spent over £15 for free garlic bread and cheese which was requested on notes on just eat that was also forgot. And the pizza was completely different to the one we got last week!

Always use this place for our takeaway and everything is great normally,Went out last night with a few of my friends and decided I wanted some food before I went home so I ordered a kebab wrap,a pizza and cheesy chips and garlic the men tried to rush us because they were shutting soon but we got our order in just in time got home to realise my kebab meat was freezing cold but the chips were red hot and the kebab meat was definitely not cooked properly the colour of the meat was not right aswell,the food was clearly rushed and I am very disappointed in this,it's put me off having a kebab incase I get the same next time but the pizza and cheesy chips were fine.

Love, love, love this place. I've had pizzas, wraps burgers and they are all delicious....they have some fantastic offers too...good for my big family....order every week.....delivery drivers are really pleasant too x

There are many pizza shops in Consett but Derwentside has always been my favourite. The pizzas are consistently tasty and excellent value for money

Ive been ordering from here the last 10-15 yrs,but the last couple of times ive ordered they have been late,so when i phone they always blame the drivers saying they will be 2 mins,15 mins later they still not here they say they just out of oven and on way!! I love the pizzas but the service is disgraceful,will be looking elsewhere in future!!

The woman who answers the phone has legendary status in Consett for how rude she is.

Recogida de llaves se dieron como 25 minutos y cuando fuimos a recoger estaba listo. La variedad de comida que disfrutamos era precioso y sabroso y realmente recomiendo el chapuzón de ajo. Visit here quite often or use their takeaway service. Always pleasant and on time. Kebab's are good quality and are always hot. Pizzas excellent and recommend the Roma Special with every topping finished off with garlic.

Staff rude and abrupt, the pizza I purchased was about as tasty as the sole on my boot, greasy and just frankly unpleasant, the shop itself was dirty and from what I could see basic food hygiene skills were few and far between, this was my one and only visit things may be better since then.

First bolognese pizza consisted of ham and mushrooms and chips didn't even come , phoned up and complained, to which the guy I spoke to was very rude and hung up on me!! NewPizza came exactly the same, tomato purée ham and mushroons( never had bolognese like it) and the chips looked and tasted like they had been there since last night!! Disgraceful all around!

Food was good but service was terrible. Found the staff to be rude but the quality of food made up for this.
