They used to offer nearly all their sandwiches vegan and now they don't :( only option is mushrooms n my partner hates mushrooms so we couldn't get it , used to do a baked bean one, make it more accessible for vegans again!

We have lots of coffee shops on Romsey Broadway, but Urban Larder is my favourite. Excellent service, good selection of drinks and food - including some very interesting salads. It even has a toilet!

Small place, no room for the buggy so I had to sit outside which was still tight with the buggy blocking the door. Barista barely looked at me and I felt like I was in her way. Coffee flavour was nice but the latte I ordered came in a very small cup (maybe 4 oz?) which felt like a rip off given it was full priced. Almond croissant was okay.

Urban Larder in Cambridge is easily one of my preferred cafes. Their coffee is absolutely delightful, and I'm a fan of their delectable homemade bakery and pastries. The service here is exceptional, which is why I'm a repeat visitor. Plus, they have some eco-friendly perks: if you bring your own coffee mug, not only do you help reduce disposable cups, but you also receive a discount. Additionally, don't forget to take advantage of their Friday morning special – order takeout coffee before 11 am and enjoy a discount!

A very casual cafe in the heart of the Romsey neighbourhood of Cambridge. Usually quite crowded. Sit outside for people-watching. Friendly service, but hit-and-miss when it comes to clearing plates. Very tasty cheese toasties form almost all the menu. Be prepared for the steep cost--the cheapest cheese toastie costs £8.00 to eat in! The fact that I've come back a number of times points to the quality of the toastie--but also that I live just minutes away.

Cosy but still a bit Spartan . I went for breakfast and fancied the Bacon bap. The menu stated that it was a buttermilk bap ? Looked like a traditional bap but turned out to be disappointing. Two lovely slices of back bacon but spoiled by the bap which was too light ,insubstantial and sweet to go with the bacon. Why not use traditional baps ? Or at least offer a choice of baps?Tea was excellent and at least 2 cups to the pot. Nice helpful staff.

Delicious coffee (flat white!!), hot chocolate, teas, pastries, cakes toasties and my favourite, granola pot. I like to come here in the morning and occasionally work from there, whilst having my coffee and breakfast. I took one star off atmosphere because it's quite cold there in the winter, and the bathroom seriously and urgently needs upgrading (and is also super cold).

It’s the second time I come to this place and now I have tried a nice range of food to be sure this place is a gem on Mill Road. The vegan option was delicious and fresh, the vegan cheese was decent (a very difficult task), the brunch was delicious and good enough size to me. Today I just had the most delicious ginger and lime cake. It is not an easy thing to make a moist, fluffy vegan cake and this was just tick all the boxes for me. Due to the third Covid-10 lockdown the Urban Larder presently is only available for takeaway (with the occasional need to queue) or delivery. It seems that currently there is a reduced menu on offer compared with the pre-Covid menu.. I got a takeaway of a salad box and coffee. The Covid-10 safety arrangements are very well thought out and executed. I felt really safe going to the counter to place my order. From previous visits I remember that staff used to be friendly and chatty. This time they seem to be neither. Maybe it was because it was near closing time and they were tired. The food was spot-on. Fresh, crunchy and very tasty and a good-sized portion. My decaffeinated coffee had a lovely creamy mellow taste. So much so that I wished I had ordered a large cup instead of the regular size.

Please don't go here if you're after real, classic tasting coffee. They only offer 6oz and 12oz coffee sizes. I asked for a 6oz oat latte, and I wish I'd taken a picture but they served me HALF of my cup and the coffee had bizarrely strong sweet notes. Suffice to say, the coffee was not good, we will not be going back. I don't think this little place have done their research properly but you have Hot Numbers literally a block away from them serving really good coffee (offering 10oz, 8oz, 6oz and 4oz ) and you have Maison Clement about 4-5 blocks away serving spectacular coffee (9.5 oz 7.5 oz).

This place indeed has a very urban feel about it. ... The good: good food and acceptable coffee. Nice atmosphere if you like crowded (see ‘bad’). Not only hipsters, but also hipsters. Friendly staff, good service. Bad: crowded. As in : very. Which, I guess, in principle is a good sign. But it made the air (as in: breathing, not atmosphere) in the place rather stifling... So: a good place to go for a coffee, snack and a chat. Banana bread was delicious, coffee better than in most places in Cambridge.

My favorite coffee shop in Cambridge. There’s good turnover in the seating options since they kindly ask patrons to not use the cafe as an office. Their coffee rivals other favorites in Cam (hot numbers, bould brothers). At lunch time they serve a three salad mix which is choc full of healthy ingredients and changes everyday. And when it’s nice out they have outdoor seating which gets great sun.
