Went in wanting an ice cream as it was a boiling hot day to be told that it is card only which I was told by a rude lady. When tried giving her a £5 note for my ice cream she said it's card only and pointed to all the signs saying " there , there , there and there" in a rude tone. Anyway I went and spent my money elsewhere 👍

Cute little cafe on the side of the park. We were out walking a dog and popped in for a coffee and vimto. The staff member was lovely and friendly. Small little cafe but lots of character.

Friendly small cafe making nice drinks and selling ice creams and cakes. Buying here helps support Newcastle's beleaguered parks! Opening hours are a bit limited over the winter.

Located off Freeman Road, High Heaton, a small bright, clean, modern café that was superbly welcoming with exceptionally helpful young lady staff. I stopped for a well-earned cuppa here whilst participating in the Shaun on the Tyne sculpture trail in August 2023. The weather was glorious. I'd walked to this particular location through several parks and past a viewing point for the Jesmond Dene Falls. Serving hot and cold drinks, toasties, ice-cream. Takeaway available. Dog friendly with dog specific treats available. It had all the facilities required, including charging points for devices. Fully accessible venue with limited indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating. Family friendly, nearby young people's play areas, views of the pond and park from the seated areas. The park itself is stunning. I noticed it has various walks and sports pitches, is popular with dog walkers, and has a good play area for young people.

A lovely small cafe to have a pit stop at, they're limited on food options because it's so small but the cheese toastie was delicious! Dogs are also welcome, would definitely go again

The William IV on High street is a local pub in Gateshead that offer a decent range of beers and was one of several pubs that we visited on a day out around Gateshead. A solid old style boozer that is housed in a traditional pub style building'the interior is again a traditional pub interior with lots of good seating options and an outside area at the back with extra seating options. I don't know why but I adore going to pubs like this as it brings me back to when I first started drinking many years ago and most of the pubs I visited where like this. This pub was very busy when we visited as where most pubs we went to in Gateshead and when here we had a couple of bitters from the John Smith's brewery which were well served and priced. This is another superb local boozer and is well worth visiting as the staff were friendly and they offer a well priced range of beers and is very easy to locate from High Street bus stop it's a minute's walk.(This is my first review of the William IV). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-10.00-23.30. Friday-Saturday-10.00-00.30. Sunday-10.00-23.30. Nearest Bus Stop. High Street bus stop.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant ambiance that made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall charm of the place. Whether you’re looking for a hearty breakfast or a spot to relax and soak in a great vibe, Côte is an excellent choice. Highly recommend!
