Lovely space and my fav coffee in area but service is really unfriendly and very slow.

Beautiful atmosphere - the sun keeps you warm from the inside. Good cappuccino and latte. Nice breakfast. Lovely staff. Overall a great place to hang out!

I'm a regular here for the cappuccino and blueberry muffins. Staff are friendly and attentive, coffee is good, food range is varied and always tasty. Plenty of tables inside and staff don't bother you to hurry up and leave after you've had your drink.

Impressive quality of Mocha and sandwich. Good proportion of milk and chocolate and the coffee art was lovely!

Over priced food directed to certain in this community with purses like elastic ..lived here for 30 years and long term locals being priced out of socialising with Over priced cafe like these ...we need fair price food asked for a cheese sandwich last year and told they don't do it only toasted ...lol hello it is that before you toast the bread 🍞 ..come on really .?.get it together

Hi! Have been surprised to see this hidden gem in Leytonstone. Been in one of the pub, situated nearby, and haven't noticed this cafe before. It’s so cosy! I’m very happy to find it, it’s not just pastries and coffee! I have breakfast and lunch. Food is very tasty, me and my son been here couple of times. There was soup, with gorgonzola, there was pastry with feta and spinach! Have freshly squeezed ginger and grapefruit juices. Asked for drink with no ice, so I get a full glass. Pleasantly surprised! Croissants and biscuits! Coffee! And so many other beauties! Also, I’ve noticed that a manager I guess, a young man, was working alongside his team, nonstop, what’s is rare. They usually doing paper job. So, it’s a good exemple from a leader- work alongside his teammates, so all is done at high standards. I’ve been with my baby and older son, been helped to get in and out, stayed comfortable and felt like at home! I’ll recommend and will come back again! Thank you !

I ordered the truffle and mushroom sourdough but the staff gave me a truffle meat sandwich, I told him that he got the wrong order because I don’t eat meat. He proceeds to try to convince me that my order does have meat in it, until I physically grabbed a menu to point out that he was wrong. Just a bit disconcerting that the staff isn’t familiar with their own menu?? He also touched the sandwich with his bare hands… which he eventually apologised for after having to point that out as well Food was decent. Lots of mushrooms but the sourdough was too thin

It’s my local coffee shop always get coffee from here really very nice even the service excellent today I ask for fresh juice paid £5.50 but surprised when see the glass of juice asked is it not suppose to be full glass but lady told because you did no ice so that’s why you get this much.

Who says London doesn’t have good food?! This cafe hit the spot! We ordered sandwiches, pastries and coffee and it was all fantastic! So lovely to have found this gem!

Local coffee shop for me - nothing to dislike.

Unity Cafe is one of the better cafes in Leytonstone. The food is really good with some lovely options on the menu (the 'signature bun' is delicious!) The coffee and both chai/tumeric lattes could be nicer and it can feel a little cramped depending on the time you visit. It's on the expensive side, but saying that the ingredients seem good quality!

Best breakfast butty in Leytonstone if you ask me. Quality ingredients cooked well every time. Dare to think how many of the bacon and egg baps i've eaten this year but i still have 0 regrets

Local cafe when doing laundry, toasties are good- possibly a little pricy but still tasty. Coffee good. Could be a bit more cosy and a lot of customers can have babies/todlers so can sometimes be a bit loud but still a lovely spot.

New to the area, have been to the cafe before and had really good service. Not knowing the closing times, I walked to the cafe, the tables and chairs were out inside and outside and there was a customer sitting inside so I assumed it was still open. I walked in and the person behind the counter was rude when telling me it was closed. The way she spoke to me was as if I had demanded to be served. I understand that people may be tired after a long day but I do feel staff need to be mindful of how they speak to people.

Really good coffee and cake. A lovely surprise seeing this little picket of development, for someone born in the area who hasn't been back in a long time. Sadly the service was verging on unfriendly. Perhaps there had been some sort of incident earlier 🤷🏾‍♂️ I'll probably try this place one more time on another visit.

Really decent spot for brunch. Had a fully loaded brioche sandwich type thing (I forget the proper name they gave it) and it was excellent. Great ingredients done well. Very satisfying indeed. Coffee and almond pastry also good.

Took a trip here as I’ve lived locally for a while and like to support local businesses. Purchased what looked to be a delicious almond croissant, but when I got home it turned out to be completely stale and inedible. I’ve worked in kitchens and judging by the hardness of this croissant it must’ve been at least a few days old! A real shame.

Amazing coffee-I recently had the pleasure of enjoying an espresso, and it was truly outstanding. The espresso exhibited a perfect balance of flavors, with a rich, velvety texture that coated my palate. The aroma alone was enchanting. The crema on top was a beautiful golden hue, a testament to the freshness of the beans and the barista's skill. The espresso was served at just the right temperature, allowing me to savor the intricate flavor profile without any bitterness or harshness. espresso properly done, great service, beautiful clean cafe ! Highly recommend :) beautiful art as well. Definitely will come back

Lucky to have this place nearby. Very nice independent cafe that serves good coffee. Staff are efficient and making their drinks, prices are close to places like Costa and Starbucks so okay but not considerably cheap either. Their croissant and pain au chocolate are quite nice so bekery products in general are good here Remote work friendly, can bring your laptop, charger and connect to their WiFi to get on with some work.

As cafes go, I found it a little pricey…. That being said, you most definitely get what you pay for. The place is amazing and the food is delicious. All the ladies had smiles on their faces which makes the experience so much better. Highly recommended to all and will go again.

Today I’ve visited this artistic place. The team been very friendly & smiley. I’ve choose something which is not exist in the menu , Avocado & feta on sourdough but the lady and chef said that it’s not problem to add and look the picture how great it was. I had a take away , the portion is huge compare to other places in the area, also I had oat matcha latte and raising cookie. So delicious! Thank you! I will definitely come back again 😇👌🏻🤗

The food at unity is not bad, they do a pretty good bacon sandwich, their coffee is quite good too, but be warned if you want to eat in be prepared to wait! They get lots of take away coffees, and they serve these all as they come in, with the eat in coffees going to the bottom of the pile. I have on two occasions waited over 20 mins for a coffee, with my food coming out before my coffee on one occasion. For that reason I will now only get take out, missing a bit of a trick here as people tend to spend more when they’re sat in.

Enzo and his Team serve great taste food. The Cafe is clean and tidy, and one always receives a warm welcome.

Disappointingly rude and unfriendly staff. Such a shame as we have so few nice cafes in our locality. We and friends regularly encounter staff who are unfriendly, unprofessional, and rude here. Clearly not customer focused. A reminder that it costs nothing to be (consistently!) nice and friendly and helpful to paying customers. EDITED TO ADD - in reply to Unity - looking at CCTV generally won’t prove rudeness from staff. Odd response. I suggest you train your staff to be polite, helpful and courteous to all customers instead? Especially as I am not the first person to leave a review about your staff being unhelpful.

We had a wonderful experience at Unity Cafe after being recommended to go their. My partner hand the Unity bun a must, myself had a bacon and egg roll which one of the best as i ended up having a second one. A Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff only thing missing was the sunshine . Will be returning very soon keep up good work, All the best to you at Unity Cafe Best Ana and Adrian

Terrible service . Placed an order through Deliveroo due to having allergy. I tried to contact the restaurant as you meant too, to ask them to remove some items . No answer, I called multiple times . Eventually I called Deliveroo help line, to see if they can assist and get through . Still no answer. How are you business ! That provides food and says contact if you have allergies . We do so and you don’t answer. I called 20 times . Deliveroo called 5 times. Terrible . Disgusting service. & now I’m literally waiting for the food to arrive , that can’t be changed.

This independent coffee shop is fascinating, they sell art on their walls from local artists, they prepare beautiful sandwiches and pastries. There coffee is good. However, there hiring system is terrible. Meaning management needs to brush up on their commitment and communication skills. As someone who often supports this coffee shop and having had an interview here with prospects for a trail shift. After sending 2 emails I’ve not heard nothing back. I respect someone else may have been hired but in order for me to understand where I need improvement In interviews, why I wasn’t offered the job ect… I would expect a hiring manager to communicate this as he said would.

Lovely toasties and always at least one vegan option. They are full of nice toppings, and also really big! They also do nice coffee and have a selection of pastries/cakes with some vegan options.

If you tink of a cosy place this is the oposite. They turned off the heat to save energy, so it was so cold inside that my coffee turned cold in seconds. Avoid it. Come in the summer or when is sunny. Bring your Thermos and a blanket with you.

One of the best cafes in the area. The food is very nice , I had the toasted cheese with pumpkin sandwich, fresh prepared and very delicious. Coffee is great, lots of pastry choices. Had a great time with friends, very nice environment. They even have wine and cocktail choice. LS.

Best Coffee you will ever drink

Really great coffee, matcha & chai. Not really a fan of the sandwiches and cakes; they're not bad, just a little disappointing, especially for the price (didn't notice the sausage in the panini which was overstuffed with rocket, carrot cake was a little dry, pastel de nata fine, cookie too). So, I have given up on them, but will definitely divert for a hot drink. Staff are usually great.

Lovely experience sitting out in the sun on a Saturday morning. We had the raspberry muffin and an apricot turnover with 2 cappuccinos and a pineapple juice. All very tasty!

The staff were really unfriendly, unhelpful and I left feeling overwhelmed. I paid an excessive amount for two cups of ice with a splash of juice but the cake was decent. I asked for no ice in my drinks but the cups were both filled to the brim with ice, when I asked again for no ice in the second drink, as the first was done, it was as if I asked for both the woman’s kidneys. The lid wasn’t on properly so the drink leaked on the counter, my buggy and the floor but I was offered no assistance at all in cleaning up, I had to keep asking for more tissue while staff looked at me, the one who served me then went out the back leaving me still cleaning. I had to suggest that I was given a different cup and even that seemed a huge task for the other person serving. We were awaiting AA breakdown to assist my daughter so I was going to Horizon on Leytonstone High Rd but I remembered the Unity was a similar distance in the opposite direction so I decided to try here. Had the staff been more welcoming to begin with, I would have probably brought more food as it looked nice but I value good manners and I would never visit here again. We visited on Friday 19th August.

I am speechless, honestly! I had a antenatal appointment and do not live local, I popped in for breakfast and went to pay. To my surprise I forgot my card at home and was panicking as I won't have a card the whole day as i don't even work local. This beautiful lady, offered it to me for free. Absolutely grateful. Btw the food was amazing just like her.

Lovely café. Friendly, helpful staff. Good coffee. Pleasant environment (and always busy). One suggestion: breakfast rolls with bacon/egg/sausage are great, but to have cream cheese and sweet chilli sauce in them is gilding the lily! Please could this be an option only? You cannot improve on perfection!

This cafe has totally revitalised this side of Leytonstone station! I remember when it was a sad corner shop, little did I know the space could be so transformed! Delicious iced coffee and friendly staff. It’s a thumbs up from this local Leytonstoner.
