Unique family run place which feels like a local institution. Delicious and well cooked food. I've never been disappointed highly recommended.

Have lived in the area a while now and I don’t know how many times I have walked past this place. We decided to try it for dinner tonight, and wow. Mind blown. Possibly the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Uncle Wrinkles - we love your food, we love how friendly you and your wife are - we love how cosy your restaurant is. Expect to see us back on a weekly basis!

Honestly this is the best chinese food you can find in South London and probably the whole city. The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely lovely, you feel like you are in someone's kitchen and can appreciate the love put into the food, my family have been coming here for 20 years and i dont see myself differing from this! The star anise fried aubergine and lemon almond chicken are genuinely heavenly! would recommend this to all and anyone looking for a great meal out in London. Wonderful wonderful place with even more amazing staff! Thankyou Kwan and Uncle Wrinkle!!!!

Good food, open kitchen, good hygiene and the occasional appearance of REAL Chinese dishes that you won;t find anywhere else. Oh, and damned good prices! Two-table restaurants, but actually rather cosy and friendly.

I've been going to uncle wrinkle for years - try the lamb in plum sauce or aubergine in lemongrass and you will be impressed. Good prices, grand flavours and when possible great to sit in as it's byob.

A modest setting, but the food is anything but! A warm welcome from the owners, who were kind enough to make me something fresh off menu. I don’t live in NX anymore, but continue to pop in if I’m in the area. It’s no coincidence so many locals/students or Chinese origin rave about the place. Definitely recommend.

Wow! What a fantastic meal. My girlfriend and just had such a lovely evening meal here. The husband and wife team were super kind and friendly, the food was freshly cooked in front of us and tasted amazing. Both being veggies we asked them for of their best dishes and were not disappointed. Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior, this is easily the best Chinese food around!!

I've been a customer for several year, and I din't like to spoil this gem. But I beleive is fair on them to know what a beauty is this little place! Their genuinity is unique.Is not just about getting an egg fried rice! What you have is a great human experience.

Unpretentious and wholesome Chinese food by genuinely lovely and warm owners. In an area crammed with kebab shops and fried chicken (especially late at night) I was really pleasantly surprised with this find, it was amongst the best Chinese food i’ve eaten. Plenty of amazing veggie and vegan options too. My only slight complaint would be the lighting which was the only reason I didn’t spend my whole night in there.

So I used to walk past here all the time but apprehensive to try it because of the name and decor. Now I regret not trying it sooner! I take all my friends here and they all love it. This is a family run eaterie with Uncle being the head chef and his very talented wife helping out. The place doubles up as an art gallery with hand made pottery on display and available for sale. The must try dish has to be the crispy chicken wings. It's mouthwatering, crispy and full of flavour! I've not had chicken wings like this outside of China. Fried milk, this is an authentic Chinese dessert that is quite hard to find in China, but here you have it, in south east London. The aubergine in spicy sauce is another must try, uncle uses his own recipe and some of the food is like fusion Chinese. It's not the Chinese savoury aubergine dish, it's like a lemongrass salsa, pretty amazing! Grilled pork belly is very good, served in lettuce wraps. Lemon chicken is spectacular, I don't usually like lemon chicken but this one is coated in almond flakes and the sauce is very light and delicate. They also do amazing specials that are not on the menu and changes everyday. If you pre book in advance they can create more elaborate dishes like steamed seabass. They have three large round tables for eating in and also offer take away.

Have had take away a number of times. Food always consistently good. Unfortunately no longer delivers but you can browse the pottery for sale if you eat in or pick up!

We have been huge Uncle Wrinkle fans for more than a decade. The people who run it are extremely friendly and hard working. The food is excellent, very fresh and deliciously prepared. We go there on a regular basis and have never been disappointed.

Como ya he dicho. No se puede superar. No dejes que el nombre del restaurante no te desanime! Comida fresca, servicio (la señora es un artista de cerámica así como comida), super limpio. Las personas que piensan que no te gusta la comida china, me encanta tío arrugas. El GMS shiney no Cuesta 5.50 euros. Bueno para el cuerpo. También están muy bien a la hora de responder a las necesidades de los veganos y verduras. La selección de salsas y la gama de opciones es impresionante para ser un lugar pequeño. Y es pequeño, un poco cafetería cocina, como estar en casa alguien. Acogedor y encantador, y bien vale la pena la espera.
