Cannot rate this place enough!! Eloise was great and knowledgeable. The chef came and asked how the food was too ! Food was so tasty and they had halal options !!!! So much variety - so make sure you take a look before hand. Big portions as well !

The food here is absolutely wonderful! Full of flavour and veggies, great for anything casual lunch or nice dinner with friends!! The staff are lovely and the food came out super fast. Portions are also massive, such a good experience!!!

We have already been a couple of times to this restaurant and both have been great experiences. The food is very tasty and the portions are generous. We quite enjoyed the beef fried noodle for two. and soup noodle. All the meats were perfectly cooked and tender, as well as flavourful. The waiters are very attentive and they had a very nice.The price is more than reasonable for the quality of the food and the portions. One of our favourite restaurants in Exeter and we can’t wait to come back.

We had a last minute takeaway as we were going away for the weekend, the food was absolutely delicious. I can recommend the Tyepyedong curry. Portions are really good the flavours are awesome ☺️

I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The tempura was served with sweet and sour sauce, which was quite unusual and didn’t pair well at all. The coat is traditional British fish and chips coat rather than real tempura. The stir-fried noodles were also disappointing - mostly filled with cheap ingredients and lacked authentic flavour (too salty). Overall, I felt the food quality didn’t match the price. Quite a letdown, especially for someone familiar with authentic Asian cuisine.

Seating was very uncomfortable only two tables with backing on chairs ,that’s why only 4 stars but definitely would go again if tables had more chairs ,but unfortunately not. But the service and food excellent with an extensive menu.

Quality noodles at reasonable price. Lunch deal is great.

Every time I come here I’m always satisfied. The chefs be cooking! If you want some great Asian fusion food with great prices and great beer, come here!

Really tasty, we had the Tyepyedong Japanese curry and Tyepyedong Donburi Zel-Chow. Both really different and interesting flavours and lots of varied meat. Restaurant is fairly small and they were short on staff so it took a while, but that is fair enough as there was a notice.

After 18 years and a few owner changes, we have unfortunately now had two poor experiences since the latest change in ownership. The dishes are watery and less flavoursome than before - namely the infamous Wondering Dragon dish. The prawn filo rolls are also anaemic in appearance and lack flavour. Unfortunately this is a noticeable decline in quality and will now put us off visiting after all of the many years of patronage. We did raise the complaint and received a very small discount for an otherwise inedible dish which is disappointing given how I have consistently enjoyed the dish for 18 years and have not had any complaints prior to this. It is also well overdue that they remove the Covid screens between diners as they are bulky and unsightly.

We wanted to grab a quick lunch in Exeter and wanted something ’relatively’ healthy, filling and not too expensive. We’ve been here before, and the return visit was ass good as the previous ones.

Went after work with some colleagues following a recommendation. Was a really good experience large selection of dishes to try with either options of rice or noodles. Reasonably priced.Food was served promptly and piping hot. Really enjoyed it as did my colleagues, would highly recommend and would certainly visit again.

Wow! The best authentic Chinese in Exeter! Food was cooked perfectly, super fresh ingredients. The Udon noodles are delicious and the Chinese Curry is full of flavour. Atmosphere was happy and relaxing, thoroughly enjoyed our date night. Will be going back for more🥰🥰

I've eaten here a few times over the years. Spectacularly good food, friendly efficient service, quick turn around if you need it, very reasonable prices, functional authentic atmosphere. I'll keep coming back when I'm in town.

Brilliant prices for gorgeous tasty ramen style pan Asian noodle soups and fabulous noodle dishes with an interesting menu including things you don't find offered everywhere. The prices are very reasonable indeed and the servings are generous. Plenty of choice for delicious vegetarian items. There is a lunch menu too. The decor is bright and modern minimalist with cool art. We have been to Exeter twice and made a point of returning here after our first visit. I don't think I would come to Exeter without dining here because it's great and really good value.

After a pack day for my husband’s birthday I thought we’d give this place a try, we extended our car parking to allow enough time to find a note on the door saying they were closed for staff training! Lots of other people turning up too. Would highly recommend a notice on your website as I had checked the opening times that afternoon. Very disappointed

One of my favourites! Their dishes are affordable and really great.

Really high standard of cuisine, with a varied and extensive menu on offer. They'll even make a dish to order if you like, mixing parts of other items on the menu. A nice touch is the standard offer to take any unfinished food away, and they bring you a box to pack it up at your table so you know it's definitely your food you're taking away.

Wholesome soup noodles. Nice set lunch with green tea. Great value. The staff have always been really pleasant and attentive. We enjoy eating here.

This is THE place for stunning, authentic Asian food. I have never had a bad meal here, the portion sizes are amazing and the price is so reasonable!

Good Food and Service but £2.75 for a small glass of water is really disappointing.

Have walked many times past here - always busy. Finally had the opportunity to eat here, and so glad we did Friendly service with a smile, and great quality food to boot. There is an extensive menu to suit all tastes, and the fact they serve hot sake is a godsend. If you're looking for a place that serves a filling noodle dish at a reasonable price, then look no further than Tyepyedong.

Third time going here and each time has been brilliant. They offer an extensive menu, all of it well worth the price, as well as a quick and friendly service. This time I had the beef donburi while my friends had the chicken and beef soup. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Freshly made food with authentic Asian flavours. Great service, too, will definitely plan to come here when next visiting Exeter. Yes the seats are hard (we brought cushions!) but the atmosphere is good, relaxed and we were able to park round the back mid week. A complimentary green tea was also very pleasing with the meal.

from the moment we entered we were greeted with open arms, friendly customer service and super speedy assistance. the menu ranged from noodles to rice and everything in between, and we have no doubt that every dish would tickle each taste bud, leaving every customer satisfied to the full extent. the toilets were OUTSTANDING, spacious and pleasantly lit. A delightful contradiction to the mood lighting that highlighted the relaxing dining experience within the establishment. A don’t miss spot when visiting Exeter!

I have been a regular at this independent restaurant for over 10 years. It is always consistently excellent. The food is quick to arrive, always hot and fresh. Full of flavour and a good portion. I normally have the spicy garlic chicken or wandering dragon. The restaurant is always busy but the turnaround of the tables is very quick so the wait is never long. Staff are always accommodating and helpful. The lunchtime deal with drink offers excellent value for money. Recommended for all

Found this place by pure incident two weeks ago and I've been back already.The food is outstanding and the portions are very generous - yummy scrummy in my tummy.The staff were very courteous and efficient and it was a very relaxed atmosphere.I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely food, I always opt for the shredded Crispy chilli beef... one of the best I've had. The portion sizes are very generous, I never leave feeling hungry.

My favourite place for Beef Udon.

Just went in by chance when looking for some dinner. I went for the chicken stir fry with yakisoba noddles and was pleasantly surprised. The flavour was nice and overall tasted like a proper homemade dish, however I did find the chicken a little bit chewy. I did also find the spring rolls a bit lacklustre as they were mostly carrot inside. Overall a good experience and would consider dropping back in.

The man at the restaurant "Howard" when asked if they would be stopping other deliveries requests from Just East being made said "it was not their problem" if other people did not get their ordered food too. Will never pay money to this restaurant again. I had wanted to support a local restaurant rather than a larger brand.. I now have try to claw back the money for an unfulfilled service from Just Eat. Merry Xmas Typedong. for your rubbish pre Xmas gift. Seriously unimpressed.

my favourite restaurant ever!!! everything is so tasty and i love that staff don’t mind me asking for little things like swapping courgette for snow peas for example, especially as i get very nervous asking. i can be quite a picky eater so if i like this restaurant i bet you will too! the staff are so friendly and welcoming and service is super fast. every meal ive had is DELICIOUS. ive had both takeout and dined in! i LOVE tyepyedong🥰

I had **spicy garlic chicken with rice** from their set lunch menu (they even included a soft drink) for £8.90. What absolutely superb food and, despite it being a very generous portion size - I am a big guy with a large appetite - I was full. Fantastic flavours I just didn't want it to end. Lovely attentive staff completed a perfect dining experience. I hope to return soon to try the other menu items! UPDATE: A further visit two months later, just as good. In fact, absolutely excellent again. Spicy garlic chicken thoroughly recommended.

Really lovely experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was very chilled out and relaxed and a great place to have a little date. Myself and my fiancé ordered Cantonese shredded beef which came with rice, typyedong seafood tempura and yakisoba noodles with bean sprouts and it was all cooked perfectly. Thank you so much. Our treat now and again was to visit their restaurant, the fact they have appeared on Just Eat is probably a bad thing as we may want it more. What we ordered was hot and of their normal quality, both were curry and each arrived with the rice to one side in the container, just mix it all up and you won't be disappointed. Thank you. We'll always pop in if in Exeter.

Awesome food. Came here as our first meal in Exeter. Had the Malay stir fry and some hot sake. The service was excellent. Staff were super friendly. The price was very reasonable. And was the best stir fry I’ve had in a restaurant. Would 100% come back next time I’m in the area. Food portions were a good size as well. Eat here!

Just awful greasy stir fry with noodles cut into small pieces. Crispy shredded beef was burnt to a crisp and inedible. Would not recommend!

The lunch menu here is great, its about 8 or 9 quid, comes with a free soft drink. I had beef donburi, which is stir fry beef and veg in a tasty sauce on rice. I'm a healthy lad and I struggled to finish, so its a good size. Plenty of beef, excellent unique taste. This is a great offering. Good range of Asian beers also. Highly recommended.

On my visit to this rests, I found the food to be very sweet. It was not something I’d prefer and it was just put on a plate without much care. Was quite disappointed with the food.

food is delicious but the staff really let this place down. went in on sunday for lunch and two teenage girls were working bad mouthing people and swearing the entire time. they weren’t exactly being quiet about it either, everyone in the restaurant was clearly uncomfortable. then one of the young girl’s friends came in and she was just yapping with her friend for the rest of the time we were there, leaving the poor male staff member to do all the work. not to mention he was trying to tell her what the dish was called and she was just shouting in his face “HUH. HUH”. really not pleasant at all

I went to Tyepyedong when visiting Exeter because it was recommended by a friend and I was excited that the recipe specified which dishes could be made gluten free. However, I and my friend got ill from eating here from what I suspect to be (based on symptoms and what we both ate) rancid oil. The food also didn’t taste very good and was very oily.
