Two Magpies Bakery in Waveney

The Two Magpies is simply legendary. Many thanks to Chris and Julie. A fabulous pizza night. And the new Bee Sting Pizza is yum yum yum!

This is such a lovely bakery! There is a wide range of pastries, sweet treats and cakes. I had a croissant and a salted caramel cookie with a pot of tea. They were all incredibly tasty. The staff were very friendly also and made us feel very welcome. It costs more to eat in than takeaway, but it’s a pleasant place to sit and I was happy to pay that bit extra to support a smaller business. Would recommend !

Regularly visit this lovely little bakery on Southwold on our trips! Never disappoints. Well worth a visit for a coffee and pastry or even a light lunch.

Gorgeous selection of cakes, pastries and bread. We had croissants and the ‘Uks favourite cake’ - chocolate, almond and salted caramel brownie- unbelievably good doesn’t come close to describing it! Bit if a queue even at 0830 but moves quickly as staff are very organised. Definitely go!

We love Two Magpies, great food and great coffee. We have been in every day for the past week. But every time we go, we are queueing for way too long. Better efficiency systems with team required, team way to slow with service. But coffee is the best!

My husband called into the Two Magpies on Southwold at 5.40pm last Saturday to see I if by any chance you could do 2 pizza's (we hadn't pre-booked) and immediately our order for 2 take away pizza's was welcomed. (Unlike Doh pizza in the high street who advised they were unable to do any takeways until 8.30pm onwards when they simply weren't busy and had staff standing around in the kitchen) From yourselves we had one Margherita and the Lombardy. Well we can honestly say both were extremely tasty and a good amount of topping plus the sourdough pizza base amazing. Absolutely fabulous. So a big thank you to the staff. Very good value for money too.

Great bakery; produce, staff and service were amazing. During our weeks stay we visited daily. We had read the reviews but the two magpies surpassed expectations. Definitely give the cinnamon swirls, almond croissant and amaretti biscuit a try 💜

The chicken sandwich was so yummy, but nothing in comparison to the lemon slice! Really enjoyed my food. Don’t sit outside the shop, if you have social anxiety. It was quiet for a good 10 mins whilst I was deciding what to order. It was busy in the cafe, so opted for the quieter option, which I thought would be outside. As soon as I sat on the table outside, I had a swarm of people around me trying to look over my head at the food. I felt incredibly uncomfortable, but so thankful I didn’t order a coffee and asked for my cake to be in a bag rather than a plate. Still giving the cafe 5 stars as it wasn’t their fault their cakes look so incredible!

We are here on holiday and fancied a light breakfast and coffee for the start of the day. Sold out of croissants by 10.30, settled for a chocolate one but didn’t taste fresh and very little chocolate inside. Would have been nicer served warm.

Lovely friendly staff , great bakery but very expensive . One sausage roll , one Moroccan roll ( veggie equivalent) one cinnamon bun , one slice dreamy apple cake and two black coffees , £27.50 ! Wouldn’t do it again at that price

After a morning of house viewings we stopped off to have a look around Framlingham and having spotted the Two Magpies Bakery decided it was definitely time for tea and cake! They have a great selection of treats making it very difficult to choose, which is a huge plus. Two hits were the Bakewell Tart and the Amaretto cookie, the Eccles cake was unfortunately a miss - having grown up eating traditional flat cakes. The pastry was very hard and difficult to break into and ratio of currants to pastry was too high for me, making it an overly sweet treat! If I get a chance to return to Framlingham I'll know to choose something else. Love that they serve loose leaf tea in little cafetieres, although tea (English Breakfast) was a bit bitter for two of us. Decor, layout and atmosphere were very relaxing.

Great pizza. Ordered the meal deal for two people with rocket, Parmesan and pine nut salads and a garlic bread to share. Pizzas fab, salads enormous, didn’t need the garlic bread to be honest as portions were incredibly generous. Offer came complete with a choice of dessert or one of their regular lovely cakes and a small bottle of Prosecco each. Very good value for money. Had to take desserts with us as no room left! Highly recommend.

Ordered pizza for our friends & family get together - not only were the pizzas superb but we received brilliant service from the staff Julie, Rosie & Michelle who catered to our specific allergy needs. I had the Diablo which had the perfect balance of heat and flavour. The kids had Margeritas and the mozzarella was out of this world. Highly recommend for anyone staying in or near Southwold on Saturday nights!

Southwold on an autumnal sunny Saturday can be manic, which this day was, but the lady who was serving was wonderful and did restore my faith in service. Thank you. Despite being busy, the lady took time to check that I was able to sit down (I’m disabled), so as to enjoy my coffee and then arranged to bring the glorious mince pie and coffee to me & my husband. Thank you

Julie was excellent as front of house and Craig made superb pizzas. We will definitely return during our holiday next year.

Visited twice during our holiday in Southwold. Delicious morning pastries, tasty bread and gorgeous baked goods. Also enjoyed the All Press coffee. The staff are super friendly and happy to answer questions. Just be prepared to queue for a little while (it’s worth the wait!) and note they run out of bread fairly early in the day.

We went a couple of time for coffee and cake and also queued for bread in the morning at opening time. The loaves were quite pricey but worth it

Went to three stores over course of weeks holiday - those in Southwold , Aldburgh and Woodbridge. Bread was amazing ( especially the lemon / olive ciabatta) , pastries ( had sausage rolls and empanadas) great. Croissants very flaky and tasty. Coffee ( at Woodbridge ) pretty dire.

What a gem we found when we stopped here for breakfast. We had french toast crispy bacon with honeycomb butter and maple syrup,wow what a treat so we returned a couple more times to have coffee and cake and were not dissapointed with that either. The staff worked very hard to give an eccelent service always with a smile. The music that was on in the background complimented the whole atmosphere of the cafe. Thanks again to all staff.

Had coffee and cake here a couple of times, great coffee and such a good selection of gluten free cakes. We brought bread and cakes home with us. Definitely would go back there or any of the other locations, good service and great products. Please open up in Essex!

We popped in to grab some sweet treats to-go, and were not disappointed! They were so tasty & although we have a few allergies in our group, but there were a vast number of options including gluten free and vegan. Would certainly return and recommend

Turned up on the fly just after 8pm on a Saturday night and realised that whilst the door was open, the shop/cafe should have closed a few minutes prior. As we realised this, we also clocked that pizza had been on offer earlier in the evening and vocalised between ourselves our disappointment that we didn't realise and had just missed it. The front of house lady heard and after checking with the kitchen warmly and enthusiastically encouraged us to order to takeaway. We really felt that she and the kitchen staff went out of their way when they were likely eager to get home. What's more the pizza was absolutely delicious - by far the best we had eaten in a while. Generous toppings and high quality ingredients noticeable. The sourdough base was also exceptional. You made our Saturday night - thank you. :)

Amazing pizzas and tremendous service with the highest compliments to chef Ruth for the fisherman’s daughter, Diablo and the Napolis. Impeccable. We will return! Delicious cinnamon swirls.

One of my favourite bakeries in North Norfolk with lovely walks straight from the door. The cakes and bread are so delicious.

We have been to other stores in this regional bakery chain and loved it, this is just as good! A modest sized shop with a small number of tables. The service is friendly and efficient after ordering at the counter the food and drinks are brought to your table. The food is delicious and the cakes are just what is needed for a coffee/tea at around 11am (or any other time!)
