Popped in for lunch. Another nice meal. Staff very helpful. I asked if I could have salad with my wraps instead of chips. Thank you. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Asked for no beans plate was taken away and brought back with fresh bacon bit the same eggs and sausage just transferred over these were cold . Husbands breakfast sausages and toast were very lightly cooked . Complained about my breakfast to manager apparently well attitude was absolutely disgusting needs some customer service skills when I mentioned allergies apparently she knows about them well I very much doubt it . Liked to go quite a lot here but no more food terrible and customer service 0

Friday morning quite busy 10am we got seated by the staff took our soft drinks order, then we ordered food it came out quite quickly, just wow myself had eggs benedict and hubs had full English, was a little over priced I felt it's quite small aswell which doesn't help, but food was fab charmell I think her name was( had braces) , thank you for making our rare date time you where so kind and polite, the fact you awwed when my husband give me his biscuit, ( he likes them but was saving himself apparently) I think I would definitely be back however it's a treat £35 for 2 breakfast and 2 coffee was abit pricey.

My friend and I have just been in 1225 for lunch as we were there last week for breakfast and it was delicious. We walked in and were abruptly told a to sit on back wall even though there were plenty seats available. We then asked if we could move as seat we had was very close to other people eating and felt uncomfortable. We then asked for two cappuccinos , they came and both had chocolate on and my friend is diabetic so said could she change it for one with no chocolate, well the girl serving said did she specify no chocolate and she said no but also wasn’t asked if she wanted chocolate. Well the girl ( dark hair) said it states they have chocolate on and it doesn’t. So this girl was very very rude to us but the other girl (blonde) was very apologetic, but there was no way we were staying there to eat after as this girl ( dark hair) was clearly up for an argument. But one thing I can say is the food is very nice but will not be back in if that girl ( dark hair) is ever in. To work in that environment you should have people skills and she definitely didn’t. All she had to do was take the coffee away and change it.

I’ve had this establishment on my to-do list since my wife & her friends had enjoyed a night here earlier this summer. My son had just got a first job post-university so we had the perfect excuse to try a brunch. It was respectfully busy for a Monday morning but we were seated promptly by a friendly, attentive waitress. I explained that we’d like to order asap as we were on a tight schedule & our food/drinks order was taken quickly & both were delivered in double quick time too. We ordered Steak Eggs Benedict & their classic full English breakfast and both looked delicious when they arrived. They tasted just as good and the excellent service continued throughout. A definite thumbs up & we’ll be back soon.

Please stay well clear is my honest advice. The owner should shut the place and start from scratch,, reopen with- new menu- change the staff - review prices, possibly higher to reflect a better eating experience. I could clearly observe I was not the only customer who was not entirely happy on this visit.

Friendly staff. Ordered hot beef sandwich and peri peri chicken wrap. Both served with fries. Very nice, we will be back.

2nd time here and this time for breakfast , we got seated and with it being a Sunday it was busy but we ordered and chatted before the food arrived We opted for 2 breakfasts and 2 steak egg benidicts The food was hot and tasty and we were all happy with the choices and we left full and happy This is a brilliant place for food and we will definitely be back soon

Have visited plenty of times for drinks but the first time for food. Great service in a vibrant area down on the fish quay, food was absolutely delicious (ordered the salt/chilli flatbread) but have knocked a star off for it being quite overpriced for what it was

Came here after a friend's recommendation,we were not disappointed,we got sat and ordered soft drinks whilst looking through the menu,they offer a great variety but we opted for a chicken tikka flatbread and a roast duck flatbread , both come with skin on fries and salad,the food was delicious and we loved both choices,we will deffo be back 😋

Second visit after having good previous meal. Had booked and got seated straight away.Good time to wait between ordering and all courses.Offer of 2 couses for £15 was definitely reflected in portion sizes. Not expecting it to be given away but don't have an offer if its going to impact the usual size or standards. 2 meals that payed the £5 extra supplement were fine though???. Music was a bit to loud aswell on this occasion.

Went yesterday for lunch with my son what a culinary delight. Friendly staff lovely decor ambient . Food was delicious generous portions a total joy.

Been wanting to go for a while and was not disappointed ! Friendly staff, polite and not intrusive. Great decor ! Prompt service. Our two flatbreads were fresh, hot, tasty and laden with loads of delicious toppings ! Reasonable prices and well worth it. Will definitely be going back ! Well worth the wait !

Had meant to try this place for some time, and finally made it. Tempura king prawns, soggy, greasy with shell in them. Chicken tikka flat bread, as others have said, it's mostly bread and chips, chicken was nice, all 3 pieces, sauce also nice, however salt content on the chips was ridiculous and just couldn't eat them. Service was ok. Not fussed to return.

We attended as a group of 11 for the Christmas bottomless brunch. The food was ok, having been before and having experienced the portion sizes a few of us thought the variety was lacking. Half of us opted for the beer, gin and Prosecco and the rest of us upgraded to cocktails £45. The jugs were like fruit juice and ice. Not very strong and so many rules. I get the establishment don’t want waste but the staff were so rude. I paid 10 deposits and rang to add extra 2 people on and was told I didn’t need the extra deposits to pay on the night. We never disputed this but the staff were adamant we had £10 extra to pay and kept asking who was paying in full. Like we’d try n dodge £10 for a £470 bill. One barman came to take our last drinks. Got 1 persons order then walked away. When I went order with the other rudest staff member Katie she said your brunch is over love in a sarcastic tone. Her table manner was brash n rude throughout and I’ve been to so many bottomless places and never had such rude staff n rules on checking you’d finished all of a drink before ordering again. It was like a bush ticker eating trial mouth empty before points awarded. Having eaten here many times. Our Christians experience didn’t live up to the standard of service.. I’d suggest Katie is given some tips on customer service and keeping her sarcasm bottled up. Not sure I’ll be back .

Salt & chilli chicken flat bread was great as usual. Unfortunately the beer tasted off and my girl friends Coldslaw had a strange taste.

Regularly go here for breakfast on a weekend. Always great food and great service. Usually have breakfast or pancakes never been disappointed.

Visited on 16th Sept for breakfast. We placed our order and were waiting patiently when there appeared to be an electrical fault in the kitchen. All electrics went off and we were asked to vacate the building, with staff apologising as we left. Although we didn't get to have our breakfast this time, what we seen coming out looked amazing. We were gutted we didn't get ours. But felt bad for the owners due to lost revenue etc. I hope everything was sorted quickly and sincerely hope that those that had their meals returned to pay their bills. Don't worry we will return to have that breakfast. Well done to staff who remained calm in a difficult situation.

Me and my husband decided to go for a last minute breakfast. We arrived at the restaurant to be seated very quickly. We ordered the twelve twenty five breakfast. It was lovely, definitely used good quality ingredients a little too big so will go for the other English breakfast next time. Staff were very polite. Can wait to return!!!

Lovely Sunday breakfast. Sat outside and had steak Benedict. Delicious and quick to serve. Only downside is having to pay as you order when sitting outside which was a bit of a pain when splitting the bill.

I was really excited to try this restaurant/ bar as I had heard great things! I was very disappointed by my visit. It was very busy; which I understand as it was a sunny day, but it seems like staff were extremely overwhelmed. We weren’t given menus and staff claimed they couldn’t find any. Once we did order, it took ages for our food to come. We asked for tap water with some glasses and all of the glasses were visibly dirty- some with bright red lipstick still on the rim of the glasses (which was taken out of my hand by a server as I tried to take a photo of it). Alongside the distrust glasses was dirty utensils. On top of all this, the food was horrible. I ordered the tempura prawns; all of which still had a lot of shell underneath the batter! They also just tasted bad and soggy! We also had to wait ages for the bill and eventually had to just wait next to the counter as no one was coming over to our table! A horrible experience- won’t be returning

Me & the lasses came here for bottomless brunch on a Sunday. We really enjoyed the food & drinks were great. We upgraded to the pitchers but could still have other stuff aswell.

Booked a table for this place expecting it to be busy but when we arrived it wasn't, the waitress said we were on a table between other diners when the best part of the restaurant was empty. The table was metallic with a bright white light directly above meaning it was extremely uncomfortable to enjoy a nice relaxing meal, so I asked to move. We were allowed to sit at the high tables near the bar which was marginally better. We ordered food. a chicken tikka flatbread and steak loaded fries and 10 minutes later the food arrived. It did look nice and genuinely tasted good but the price was a little on the high side, £17 for bread, chips and 4 small bits of chicken with a sauce, £9 for some chips, bit of melted cheese and 4 tiny bits of steak! 1 pint of Amstel and a pint of lemonade with lime plus food came in at £35 in total. Now I get you're not just paying for the food its everything else associated with it but compared to other places on the Fish Quay this place just did not live up to expectations unfortunately....

We were recommended this place - ordered a selection. Loaded bbq beef fries inedible to being so salty - bar manager tested them then removed the item from the menu completely! Ordered replacement of Mexican loaded fries without chillies.Had tried my friends which were fine even with chillies but mine were too hot for us both. Clearly a disgruntled chef had added chilli oil to the dish as was also inedible even to my friend who likes a lot of heat and the guacamole was much oilier than hers. Still got charged for them even though we told them and they were left almost untouched. Bill was pretty steep given total if what we had. Toilets grubby, decor tacky and other customers chavvy to say the least. So many great places to eat in North Shields, Tynemouth and Whitley bay we clearly made a bad choice.

Love this place… have been for breakfast, bottomless brunch, cocktails and food… all amazing… best place on the fish quay… lush, friendly staff… call in if you are down there

Decided to give 1225 another visit with new outside regulations, the coffees were actually half froth with a little liquid underneath, no chocolate on top, definitely not worth the money when there are so many other options in the area. Tables weren’t particularly clean either.

Since the lockdown restrictions were lifted we’ve been popping in for coffee regularly however we have noticed that the stringent cleaning down of tables is somewhat lax now, our the table we were given was quite dirty last week and obviously hadn’t been cleaned.

Very poor customer service, the staff member serving us was quite rude. Our order was wrong and seemed like it was hassle for them to sort it out, however the food was nice but the lack of good manners was off putting.
