Turners Bar in Armagh

I love this bar! It has a great "old fashioned" homely feel. Friendly staff, good selection of draft beers and tasty bar food at great prices! Best value in Armagh

This place provided me with good drink and a very nice steak meal. I am quite fussy with my steaks. But the meal I received was done perfectly. I would recommend

Turners is always reliable for a quick reliable feed or a jar when you're hanging around the Shambles. So I have been for lunches & evening meals & it's always been good quality & fairly quick service. I have been in for pints & tunes as well (without any notion of a feed) and that's been alright too ;)

For some reason, Armagh does not have many pubs and Turners was the only one recommended. It was hard to find and didn't look all that inviting, but once in, it was very good. The food was perfect as was the pub atmosphere. The bartender was the only service person which could have been a problem if they were busy, but it was fine and we really enjoyed the place.

We arranged to meet friends here. Michael served us. He was really chatty and friendly. We were not dining but saw some steaks served and they looked lovely. Toliets were v clean. Must go back some night to dine.

Had a few pints and some lunch during the day. It was a week day and not busy and not much atmosphere. Food arrived nice and hot but it was a bit bland. I ordered the Guinness pie and it came with veg and mash. The pie was ok but the rest was tasteless and I had to ask for butter to try and make it tastier. Would I go back, probably not.

Call in after the parades place was packed but eventually got a good seat, place was warm but cud of done with more staff especially knowing wat day it was...we ordered food and it was very nice and tasty...staff was run of there feet but dealted with it well, and was very pleasant too...well done.

This was a great place to have our first dinner in Ireland. Great food, terrific service, and the site itself was inviting - a great, smaller room. We were there apparently before the heavy tourist season and made the night that much better.

Popped into Turners Bar today for a quick drink. It's a lovely, relaxed, traditional bar serving excellent wine. Staff were pleasant and friendly plus the atmosphere was warm. A great spot at which to unwind, rest your legs after shopping and catch up with friends.

The food in this place was what you would get in a school dinner hall! 1 barman trying to serve drink and take orders! I asked for a sirloin medium to well done , it came out burnt! We also ordered chicken goujons which were more like battered chicken balls out of the Chinese across the road!! I was unable to complain because at no time did the wee waitress ever come back to see if everything was ok . The service was that bad one couple beside us had to ask for the lights to be turned up! Another couple ordered desert ( chocolate fudge cake , with custard ) only to be told they had run out of custard! I mean come on it's not hard to get someone to nip out for a tin of custard! The couple who got desert actually left and their dirty plates etc from ALL their courses was still sitting! While we would have liked desert or tea or coffee no one came back to offer us this! The barman was run off his feet ! I blame the poor management for the standard of service , while there is another function on there needs to be adequate staff ! They also know how to charge the prices are extortionate for the level of food standards! MOST DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK!!!

part of the larger Charlemont hotel , cosy bar we attended during a blues festival so it was much busier than i expect it normally is, staff pleasant beer of suitable standard good local banter and lots of in jokes

Great selection of food and drinks. Usually a selection of "specials" each lunch time. Curry evening on Friday evenings good value and very popular. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Friendly staff, very Irish and cozy. Live music during the weekends.Food is also quick and delicious

Had our tea here tonight. Girl who served us was very friendly and helpful. Ordered chicken goujons but thought they were very greasy. Pity as in the past we have dined here and always enjoyed home cooking. In fairness we did not say anything.

The best steak I've had in year's, cooked to perfection complimented with a great red wine Would recommend to any one looking for good meal out in Armagh

My husband and i Went for a st valenines meal. The food was beatifully presented and tasted amazing.Definitely worth a visit.Will be back soon!

We waited up to an hour for our food and when it arrived the chips were cold, veg was raw and chicken goujons were very goujons greasy. Not the Best Experience.

This is in my opinion the nicest bar in Armagh, it's well spaced out with lots of little snugs and a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. We ate here for lunch and it was that good we came back for dinner too. Extensive menu and even healthy choices to help a slimmer friend in the group! Nothing short of superb...one of Armagh's hidden gems!

After eating here a few times with family and drinking here also with friends I can say I'll hope to never set foot in here again! The owners are pure nasty to say the least. No manners is an understatement. The wee mar is stuck in the corner and the food is microwaved and very bland. This place got a1 star hygiene mark. nasty nasty nasty. The rooms in the hotel are old and out dated!!

Very pleasant staff, quick service and good food. Live music was pleasant and gave great atmoshere to the bar.

Fantastic food in a traditional setting. Staff went out of there way to accommodate my fussy food requirements. Nothing seemed to be a problem.
