This Indian restaurant is an absolute gem. The menu is so tempting with a good range of delicious food - the crispy kale chat is out of this world! And the staff are charming - friendly, efficient and full of great recommendations. We will be back very soon.

Tulasi provides a rare opportunity to sample the best of South Indian food in an area otherwise dominated by Bangladeshi "Indian" restaurants. The quality of food at this restaurant is some of the best Indian food I have had, reflecting their in house cooking for all their dishes.

A gem of a restaurant! Absolutely delicious, authentic food. We shared a chicken tikka biryani (unlike any biryani I’ve had before - so much better) and a chicken tikka masala (also unlike any dish of the same name I’ve tasted before and also so much better!). The restaurant was very busy with a large group being served before us so we had quite a long wait but the staff were fantastic. They were so apologetic and generous - bringing us complimentary pappadums and a mango lassi while we waited. When we left the manager was busy behind the bar so wasn’t able to respond when we said our goodbyes and gave our compliments to the chef. But he ran after us to thank us for our custom and patience. All in all a superb experience. We will return! Thank you

Delicious, authentic, freshly cooked Indian. One of the best I’ve had, and I eat a lot of Indian food. The dahl makhni was absolutely delicious. The chicken chettinad complex and zingy. Service perfect and good range of drinks at a fair price.

It is very difficult to find authentic Indian food like this in the Oxford area so a trip to Tulasi is a treat. The menu is not extensive but all of the dishes we ordered were very tasty and nicely presented. Prices are very reasonable and the service is good. GIVE IT A TRY.

This is now our favourite Indian restaurant and saves us trips to Southall for a ‘real’ authentic curry!!! It’s is the real thing, not the generic curry most places serve, so be prepared for a smaller menu but real, freshly prepared dishes which are so full of flavour and all prepared to order. Try the paratha, it’s amazing!!

The service was very good, I ordered online and went to collect about 30 mins later and it was ready. The food was tasty, but the mains were all quite liquid, so a lot of sauce, but not so much chicken / lentils / paneer.

We went to Tulasi with our friends excited to try a new place. But unfortunately the whole experience was very poor. The service was poor the food disappointing. The restaurant got very noisy, in fact so noisy it was hard to talk amongst ourselves. After reading the other reviews maybe it was an off day for the Tulasi team. The head of the team, I assume the owner, realised our feelings and apologised to us as we left the building. I hope it was an off day for them and they don’t have too many more. For us it was an awful experience and will not be returning.

Tulasi is a real gem and takes the Indian menu to new heights. We’ll be going again very soon.

Fantastic little restaurant in the middle of Kidlington. If you're visiting Oxford that's just a shortish bus ride North. Food is authentic, of an excellent standard and very reasonably priced. Also, the staff are friendly and helpful.

Go try this place. It is the best in Oxford area, which isn’t exactly blessed with good Indian restaurants. So worth a trip out of the city. The starters are heavenly. Loved the petis, delicious little coconut and cassava cakes with fragrant chutney. The Kale chaat was a delectable morsel of crunchy and sour sweet goodness. Main course fish Mangalorean tasted authentic. delicious aubergine and paneer veg dishes. Only quibble the restaurant needs to get its lighting sorted. With perhaps some dimmer paper or reed lights and perhaps some mirrors. But I really couldn’t fault the main event … the yummy food!

We went there on a short notice and got time slot as per my convenience. Super friendly staff providing all the recommendations as per our taste. We really enjoyed our dinner. Must try Chicken chettinadu. Overall we enjoyed our time there. Must visit if you’re in town.

Beautiful presentation and delicious food. We had the sea bass curry and veg biryani. Both so tasty. Excellent service as well. My favourite Indian in Oxford now, definitely coming to explore more of the deceptively simple menu.

It's the best Indian food I have ever eaten! The service is also just right - friendly and attentive but not over bearing. It's not a special room with much character so one star off but it really doesn't matter. Just bring good company and have great meal.

I ordered a Hydrabadi Biriyani to pick up, with a request to make it spicy. I would say they followed what I wanted. The biriyani spices and ingredients were authentic. I can definitely recommend this item.

Delicious food as usual - slightly sad as we got twice as many samosas and none of the broccoli dish we ordered in the takeaway order. The broccoli was missed as is outstanding.

Fantastic! We just returned from a meal from Tulasi where we had casually walked in, and it was simply perfect. We received a kind, warm and genuine welcome. The restaurant feels like brand new and spotless. The cooking is fine and delicate, the plates are elegant and the flavours are perfectly balanced. You can easily tell that a lot of attention and care (and Talent!) is given to these beautiful dishes. The chef and the team deserve it all. It had been a long time since we came across a restaurant that ticks all of the above together. A hidden gem in Kidlington which will not be hidden for very long. Tulasi is the best Indian restaurant we have been to in the UK. Chef Suresh and the team serve really delicious, authentic Indian food, in a different class from what we have tasted elsewhere. Lovely people, great service, our favourite place.

Our first visit and we really enjoyed eating here. The food was superior to that of other Indian restaurants. We has the southern lamb curry and the lamb shank with rice and nan. Delicious!

They dont serve just food! Its art! Their Amazing chef will greet you with a smile and take your taste buds to a whole new level! Had the best Hyderbad biriyani i ever had in my life, and the ambience is great too, with perfect music playing in background. The food was absolutely first class. Staff were very helpful. Can’t wait to visit again. The chef himself delivered my vegetable curry and it was delicious. The cost was reasonable as was the wine.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The food was fantastic and you could definitely taste the quality of the dishes. We had a lamb and a chicken curry which were full of flavour and spice. The smoked aubergine dish was incredible as a tasty side. Kulfi was a perfect finish to the evening. So tasty! The team serving and cooking were super nice and happy to help. A little gem! Excellent Indian food, by far the best anywhere nearby and such nice and welcoming staff. The restaurant is very clean as well and they put in some effort to make the place look nice. Everyone should definitely try it and they also have take away. It was so tasty that we forgot to take pictures 😆 Even the chef came to our table and greeted us and made sure we liked everything. You have to try their naan - just delicious.

What a meal! Got a takeaway from this restaurant for three adults and a child - filled us up nicely all for around £45. And the food was absolutely delicious! Really really tasty. Would thoroughly recommend Tulasi and will definitely be going there again.

We called in at this restaurant on the way home from watching Oxford Utd at the Kassam. Don't be put off by the fairly plain decoration inside the restaurant as the food is far from bland. We were lucky enough to get a table and experience the exceptionally tasty Indian food that the restaurant offers. My husband was very happy with his salmon starter that our waiter had recommended and the other choices we had made were equally impressive. We hungrily devoured and enjoyed all the dishes and delightful accompaniments. The presentation of all the food we ordered was excellent and the dishes were full of delicious spicy flavours. The service was very good, with staff answering any questions we had about the dishes and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back to either eat in or have food to take away as this was a memorable meal.

We came in very late and it was 9 pm. But they accommodated us. Exceptional food and service. In my whole London trip this was best service. The manager , the server and the whole ambience was so positive . Dosa’s very extremely good. Whatever we ordered was so good and value for money . Highlight was the black gajar halwa .
