The menu is a nice mix of South Indian and Sri Lankan specialities and it was great to have Malabar parotta with beef - a taste of Kerala! We had the prawns from the 'short eats' section, which were outstanding and the lamb main was also full of flavour. We will be returning here the next time we're in Cardiff!

This was my first time visiting Tukka Tuk Canteen on Whitchurch Road and I wasn't disappointed. The lunch menu offers lots of different choices but I thought I'd try the Dosaa with Prawn Curry. This was an excellent choice as the plate of Prawn Curry was very tasty. They should call it King Prawn Curry as the Prawns are so big. The Dosaa was a great size portion and was also excellent. With Cobra on draught as an added bonus it was a splendid visit.

The most delicious food served by amazing staff in lovely surroundings. Every single dish we tried (amongst others: beef fry/cauliflower bezule/lamb rolls/crabbie crab curry/green chicken curry/parottas/dhal/ghee rice) was flavoursome and utterly divine. The best meal we have had in a long long time. We will definitely return.

This is not your typical Indian with so many interesting new dishes to try it would take a few visits to checkout the whole menu. The dishes are on the small size but top quality and the size allows you try a number of different dishes .we had a range of dishes Beef Fry ,Batu Moju, Mangalorean fish,Green Chicken and Sona masoori rice and Malabar Parotta. All the dishes were a delight for your taste buds and the Parotta are must . We will be back for sure !

Wow wow, thrillingly good is all we can say and unfortunately Mutty was unable to approve (No dogs allowed). You know when you are the first guest and you are craving for a cool refreshing beer on draft. But you know some organisations (are so bloody greedy) and want all the profit, and that means even the beer that has been sitting on the plastic pipes at ambient temperature for god knows how long is not wasted and is served to the unlucky early birds. THAT was not the case with Tukka Tuk, the drinks on draft were top notch, as were the cocktails and the vino. Moving on to the food, we have not enjoyed indian food this good since we dined at the Bombay Brasserie Kensington. Highlights were the KFC bites, the sambal prawns, jaffna lamb and the mangalorean fish. In fact all the food and beverages were amazing. As for the service, the team (Rupali, Ebon and Vineeth) were very very attentive without being over bearing. Chances of us returning are 100 % and planning our next trip already!

This restaurant is a cut above most Indian restaurants in terms of the food and the ambiance. We were escorted to our table by the amiable owner, Rupali. Rupali went out of her way to be helpful and explain the menu combinations to us. This was important because the menu here is authentic South Indian cuisine and not the anglicised dishes often encountered elsewhere. We sampled fish, prawn, vegetable, and meat dishes, all perfectly seasoned. I like very hot dishes, but my wife doesn't, we were both happy! My wife enjoyed the dessert; I don't have a sweet tooth, so I refrained. I usually drink beer with Indian food, and tonight was no exception, but I did start with a glass of Malbec, which went down very well! The other members of the team were very welcoming and attentive. We couldn't help but notice that the guests at other tables were also having a great time. We eat out often when traveling, and we are often disappointed, but the whole experience at Tukka Tuk was on another level: a truly wonderful evening!

Popped in for lunch with a friend for the first time today . Great varied selection from the set menu- chose the onion soup and whitebait for first course and minute steak and pork sandwich for mains . All of the food was delicious , obviously home made and clearly made to order - and very reasonably priced . All staff were very friendly and attentive . Would highly recommend Moura and plan to go back on one of the wine tasting nights we heard about . Really impressed by this friendly little restaurant- do give it a try .
