Great little boozer and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, now serving food and it was amazing had the chicken curry, top marks to the chef would definitely recommend it

Quantity with quality!! In a world where we are so quick to complain, I think it’s only fair to praise when deserved; to that end, I have Just dined (lunch) at the Tudor Rose in Dunston. (Kitchen has reopened). I dined with a very picky friend, who complains about anything and everything; we both opted for Mince & Dumplings with mash and proper gravy. We both agreed that this was arguably the best Mince and Dumplings we have ever had!!! Excellent portions, excellent quality and superb value for money. Definitely definitely worth a try. I will be going again!

An absolute fab pub! Great atmosphere and great staff has everything you could want and need! The chill atmosphere during the day and even a perfect up beat environment on the night time. It has loads to offer from deals on drinks to incredible events throughout the week!!

Really awesome service with a cracking selection of lager and ales, I think the upholstery is super cool, the aesthetics and the general atmosphere are really appreciated for people of a student age and I can't wait to return

Claire and Chris are the best landlord/landlady I've ever met. Tudor rose has been my local for years and this place never disappoints, atmosphere is amazing, staff are friendly and professional always something going on and couldn't ask for better people. Deals on shots are amazing, everyone is kind and polite. 10/10 recommended

Claire and chris are lovely people, couldn't ask for better people to take over the tudor rose. The atmosphere is amazing, proper friendly and professional. Pleased they now have the sports channels. Weekends are amazing with the karaoke, deals on shots are unbelievable. Literally my favourite pub in dunston. Cant wait till they get the food up and going. Toilets and pub is clean, staff are absolutely friendly, professional and kind, honestly couldn't ask for better people. ❤ 10/10 would recommend.!!

Turned away for having a small dog with us, despite saying it is dog friendly. Very disappointing.

Giving one star is a bonus.. my friend and I went, we were merry got on with the barman.. then we almost got jumped by the PE teacher looking woman that runs it for a silly comment made 🙄 never going back ever..wouldn't spend a penny in the place

New to Dunston, wandered into the Tudor Rose and had a really great night! The bar tender was friendly, chatty and there was plenty of choice for beers too. Loved the quiz, will definitely be back next week.

Iam up from Devon, I went to the Tudor with my sister (Ali), the staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome, plus the long island tea cocktail is very nice, will definitely be coming back

This is a great local pub serving the town of Dunston. Locals are friendly (I'm a Teessider) and invite you into their conversations. The beer is priced exceptionally well and the bar team are really nice who take time to chat to you and make you feel part of their vibe. The owners Andy and Gail are great people and do make you feel welcome. All in all, customer service is great. You can choose to drink outside under a big awning or take comfort inside the pub itself if the weather isn't favourable. There are also outside seats around the side of the pub that allow you to take advantage of sunny days as they are situated perfectly for the afternoon sun's movements. The bar is well stocked with all of the names you would expect to see, without the prices of other pubs, which is very appreciated in a world where businesses are trying to screw everyone over for every penny they have. This pub comes highly recommended.

I didn't expect to be in this part of town, but I'm very glad I ended up here as a tourist. This pub has some of the most nice and approachable people I've ever met. If you're in the area, do come check this place out and mingle with the locals. You will have a good time!

I 1st found the Tudor Rose in Dunston by accident, whilst I was visiting a friend, who live not too far away, and I must admit they made feel welcome, it has a warm friendly atmosphere! And after a short time they will remember your drink (whatever that may be). The occupants are Gail and Alan of which I have got on with from the fist time that I met them, you also have John and Chloe are an absolute brilliant, and always smile, I would definitely go back to The Tudor Rose.

A place I've passed many times but not today. Always thought it was a huge place inside for some reason but it is not so big once your inside. One of the old bars kept alive by the locals and some passing trade. It gives the feeling of stepping back in time. A good sized beer garden at the front and car park at the rear.

That's my local! I'm a woman of colour so I'm always cautious about the pubs here in the north east! I feel so comfortable when I go there...no weird looks or people trying to make you uncomfortable! Very friendly and lovely staff...love you guys don't ever change!

I went quite early in the day, however, there were a few people enjoying a drink and the atmosphere was relaxed. As I recall, the beer selection could be better but I only wanted a pint of Guinness and it was fine. I love playing pool and the table was good for a pub table. There is also plenty of room around the table which is a common gripe of mine! I have friends who live in the area and I'll visit again.

Popped in for a pint told no as i wasent in before 11 though they still serving till atleast 12 so sat on wall outside waiting for me taxi instead ,well won't be going back there lol Evan though i used to stop there for a naughty afternoon pint sometimes

Ended up in here after taking a major wrong turn on my bike ride. Best mistake ever nice little pub, nice choice of refreshments available. I chose a pint or 3 of Bank's beer. Beautiful .friendly staff, Highly recommended.

decent boozer. has quizes and offers free pool on certain evenings. nice selection of drinks. nice outdoor seating area, but this is on a main road. it is walled in though, and there is a sand pit in the corner of the outdoor area.
