Great food, good pint of Guinness, good service. Recently refurbished, this bar deserves to be full every night.

First time in here. We went for Sunday dinner and it was beautiful. The staff were lovely. Great service. We will be back. Top marks all round. Thank you.

Totally wrong order Sent, unable to contact as one number doesn't work and the other rang out after 3 attempts, so couldn't even resolve problem, I won't bother ordering again

First time in since the new owners took over, very welcoming when we walked in , had fish and chips served with mushy peas and tartar sauce,they were absolutely lovely. We will definitely be back

Wonderful! Welcome was lovely, drinks served to table, food was so so yummy!!! Beef just melted in the mouth, pork was tasty and chicken gorgeous! Roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, turnip and veggies were all delicious! Great Yorkshire pudding and gravy!!! Good portion sizes and great value!!!! We’ll be back soon!!!

Very friendly food was delicious I had the bacon chop with mash and veg with mushrooms and baby onions it was to die for never tasted gravy like it the two who I was with had liver and onions just as delicious liver melted in your mouth would definatley go back

Now re-opened in July 2024 under new management and much improved due to new chef and bar staff. Craft beers are recommended and good value from my visit in July 24 Now reopened under manageress Michelle and Chef Paul. Well worth a visit for food and drinks

This pub is OPEN again ( 01July) and it is great to see a good-looking pub survive the threat of the demolition/new housing plague. Has new management and is still a clean, bright, airy, 2-room pub in a great location on the main bus route. I was not there for food but the menu looks good and the prices are reasonable.

Kallum and the new Land lady are making it then beat they do the best food

First time here under present management. Excellent service by waitress - nothing too much trouble, polite, well presented, food served well presented and piping hot - restaurant well laid out - no overcrowding and good selection of foods very reasonably priced. Only downside was the fact had to go through public bar to use facilities but all in all a very pleasant experience.

We had a lovely family Christmas get together, food was delicious, service was fantastic and we were made to feel very welcome, will definitely be back again

My partner order her mum and dad a Sunday lunch she ordered a pork dinner and mince and dumplings when it arrived the pork dinner was chicken and the mince and dumpling resembled meat balls and rock hard dumplings both meals were cold for 19 pound this is not acceptable tried ringing to complain but phone was always busy

Went mothers day food was OK, if you were unlucky you would get table by carvery which meant you had people queuing around your table and standing over you, staff were like they couldn't be bothered, safe to say we won't return

Disappointed is the only word. My beer battered cod was the tail end of a cod with wafer thin batter. Not impressed.

Lovely friendly family pub , lovely food and a good pool table

I have just ordered 2 Sunday Lunches, 1 Beef and 1 Pork. I've had an extremely busy Sunday and never ordered Sunday lunch to be delivered before and was expecting it to be average at best to be honest. It was in actual fact delicious, fresh vegetables, large portions, delicious gravy and homemade yorkshire puddings. At just £14 delvery include to Woodstone Village, for both dinners and delivered at the time specified when ordering, I will definitely be ordering again.

Takeaway Sunday lunch is great value but delivery time is absolutely abysmal. 2 hrs delayed now just about. Had same issue a few weeks back too. Driver on his way...don't think so!!

Order Sunday lunch every week for 3 people and noticed the portions are getting smaller, thos week was the final time we will be getting from here, the beef was full of grizzle the turnip was vinergary and has been for the last few weeks....I used too look forward too lunch from here but its gone down hill

Fantastic food, homemade chips, excellent service, and wide variety of meals including vegetarian, excellent value for money, very reasonable prices. Highly recommend it

It may not have the up to date decor of some other restaurants but don't let that put you off. The food is of a high standard and tasted great and the prices are very reasonable, especially the daily specials which were £11.95 for two meals. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back again.

Lovely Sunday dinner as usual. Shame they had no gammon on. My 9yo was gutted. But she ended up getting turkey from Steph. Which was fine. Friendly staff as always.

Get Sunday lunch delivered every other week! Quality and quantity gone seriously downhill. We were even charged extra and one of the lunches didn't have the selection of meat requested. Really disappointed and won't be ordering again.

Chips are a.mazing.Red hot and chunky wedges and only £2.Excellant value.

Needs some organisation on table service so many staff standing around not knowing what was going on but on other hand I received 2 pints that tasted off and when I questioned it I was given 2 fresh pints no questions asked and a explanation top marks for that scored low only on table service nothing else

Used this pub for takeaway meals during lockdown. Food is outstanding. Great value too.

Always good. Dad had dementia. They were kind and patient. Only place I would take him to. Never needed an explanation. Just where kind. Can't fault any member of staff. Or management. Think your brilliant.

Very poor .waited 1 hour and 15 min for our meal we ordered our meal three skewers with chicken and prawns the skewer wasn't like you see on the photos on line . Tiny bits of chicken two pieces and sml prawns. One sml skewer each. Other meals came out for other customers looking beautiful like fish and chips , mince and dumpling.all served before us. It was my birthday treat which spoilt my day . i was recommended . By a friend.

ordered a beef dinner food was disgusting beef had loads of fat on it. it was also under cooked. yorkshire puds were soggie absalutley disgusting and a waste ov money please avoid.

Had four meals delivered tonight and got to say exceeded expectations. Big portions, well cooked and tasty. Under the current climes well worth it, thanks to all of the staff. Highly recommended
