Food was good although everything could have done with a bit more contrast, and a bit more salt. Our servers were all lovely. The atmosphere was pretty abominable. It was too loud everywhere, and the chairs outside were so bad.

Excellent food and service, great vibe also. Loved the taramasalata in particular (and you can get Keo beer)

Enjoyed a rollicking atmosphere on the outdoor patio at this charming neighborhood Greek restaurant. Hostess was very welcoming to us tourists and sat us at a prime table for people-watching. Service was prompt and friendly throughout. Food is tasty if not memorable. Great spot for large groups.

Fantastic service, every waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. Every dish was delicious- my personal favourites were the slow cooked pork; sweet and falling apart with just the right amount of charring on the edges, might go as far to say that it’s one of the nicest pork dishes I’ve ever had. Also the hummus was great (love that it was a little textured) and the potato salad was comforting and with a nutty taste (probably from using good quality potatoes). I couldn’t have the moussaka but I had food envy and my partner was very happy with his slab of a portion. Would definitely recommend. Oh also, brilliant value for money.

This restaurant has all the things I normally love: a great atmosphere, a simple menu, incredibly friendly and warm service and good prices. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good. Some dishes were okay like the halloumi, the beetroot salad and the pork souvlaki. But other dishes were bad (the moussaka in particular was very dry and unpleasant). It also didn’t feel very authentically Greek. For instance it’s now so easy to get delicious authentic Greek pita in London, so I don’t know why they served the dry and chewy anglicised version. Overall this just wasn’t very good Greek food. However as I said before the team were so friendly and the restaurant was absolutely packed making for a cosy and delightful atmosphere.

Sooo many great things to say about this place. First of all, the service is PHENOMENAL, from the moment we walked in we were treated like family. We had the tasting menu and loved every course. The hummus was so delicious, the burnt pork was incredible and the lamb was out of this world. My only bit of feedback would be to have slowed down the courses so it didn’t feel so rushed. That said, I was so happy to see it so busy in a Saturday night. We will Definitely be back!!

My goodness! The ratings of this place should be even higher! I wish I could give it 6 stars. Firstly, the atmosphere is such a vibe, it is cosy and everyone is having a great time! Then the food! My goodness! The food!! It was so delicious that I didn’t want to stop eating! We ended up taking our leftovers away and got the baklava to go too. I’m already excited for tomorrow. You might think I’m using too many exclamation marks but honestly, it was great. The feta salad was so fresh (and refreshing), the chicken souvlaki and rice were flavourful and unlike anything I’ve ever had before, and the moussaka!?! Literally, the best moussaka I’ve ever eaten. Definitely book a little table and treat yourself.

Just get the meze for the whole table. I think we got a bit of everything for just 35 pp. It's an amazing deal. We really enjoyed the dips (shout-out to the Taramasalata), the potato salad, the lamb kleftiko and the sea bream. The souvlaki dishes were somewhat overcooked and dry, or else it would have beena perfect meal. Eating in their buzzing backyard is a pretty special experience as well, but be warned that some of the tables are rickety and so closely spaced that some maneuvering skill is needed to get in and out without disturbing other diners

Authentic, lovely people - proper greek food. Recommended! If you are looking for something traditional, come!

This is a top dining experience in London. Has a very authentic Greek feel, from the warm service through to the food prepared with unpretentious joy. This has a loud, convivial, relaxed atmosphere which feels typically Greek. The spiced margaritas were absolutely brilliant, as good as I’ve had. The Greek salad and the souvlaki dishes were spot on. Also loved the cinnamon infused rice. Price for this great experience was very reasonable at under £35 a person. Careful you don’t walk past as it has no name on the outside. You know it’s a good restaurant when it’s packed in spite of having nothing outside to tell you what it even is. One of the foodie gems of London.

Incredible Greek restaurant for a relaxed meal with friends!

Insanely good Cypriot food. The Mezze was the most authentic I have seen outside of Cyprus and wash it down with Keo beers. I went last night and I’ve been thinking about how good the food was all day! This place is special!

Outstanding Greek gem in London. We found this from an article in The Guardian, and are glad we did. It's hidden away off a side-street -- no signs at all -- you would never know it was a restaurant. Top quality food, one of the best meals we had on a recent visit to London. Very small -- reserations essential. Excellent food and service.

This place has no signage on the outside. It is located no where near touristy part of town. And yet, it gets packed during dinner time. Every item served was simply great from beets and potatoes to lamb. Nothing unique. Just traditional Greek food cooked unbelievably and exceptionally well. Add lively yet intimate space and friendly service and you have what is clearly local favorite. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic Greek restaurant. Excellent service from friendly, helpful staff. Considering how busy the pace is I was amazed at the speed in which were served. The food is traditional, home cooked style, nothing fancy, just completely delicious and and good value. Our only, minor critique, is that we’d have liked onion - preferably red - in our Greek salad. It’s so good to see a restaurant thriving in such uncertain times but these folk work hard for it & deserve every bit of success.

This is not a fancy place (especially the loo). But if that's cool with you then GO because the food is incredible, the people are lovely and the little courtyard at the back is absolutely charming in spring. The set menu is a bargain, so much delicious food for a very reasonable price. And the whole place smells amazing!

A hidden gem in Maida Vale. We visited without any prior reservations, but thanks to the owner we were able to get a table inside. This is a family run restaurant serving delicious Greek food. We had ordered chicken Souvlaki, Grilled fish and a couple of vegetarian starters. Everything was grilled to perfection and tasted delicious.

The layout of this place is a bit odd with the open kitchen at the front and the booking manager sitting in the walkway. Space is definitely at a premium here. Our party of 4 adults and 4 children were seated at the rear of the restaurant on a very wonky long table and two wonky benches and one of the benches had a split in it. The service was very friendly and welcoming pretty much from start to finish. Just be aware that they want you to have the set menu off meze at £35 per person if you are 8 or more. Luckily they made an exception for us we were not aware, had 4 children in our party and it was early so the place was only half full. The quality of the food was not great at all, especially for the price you are paying. The presentation was poor and so the mains were basically exactly the same but with a different meat option. Every member of our party had something wrong with either their starter or main but none of it was bad enough to complain about. We opted to have deserts somewhere else. The general atmosphere of the place was quite nice with a good vibe. However we were close to the bar and had to endure glass bottles that were being thrown loudly into a nearby bin. Afterwards I looked up the food hygiene (scores on the doors) rating for this place and I was not totally surprised to see they got 0 out of 5 stars in January 2024. Wish I had done that before we visited but thankfully nobody has become ill yet. I have no idea how they have such a high review score from most other reviewers but look up the low scored reviews to get a good idea of what to expect.

To begin with, and I guess it’s on purpose, there is no sign outside so make sure that you have the street number. The restaurant consists of street side seating, indoor seating (next to a very smoky kitchen) and conservatory seating. The conservatory is warm as there are heaters but it’s tight seating on wobbly wooden benches. We were not aware when we booked a table but if you are eight or more then you must have the set menu. This means that four adults and four children means that you must take the set menu. The food was tasty, arrived nice and warm. It all comes off a bbq of sorts so it that is not your sort of taste then the meats may not be to your taste. We had a 6pm booking and had to be out by 8pm for the next seating so we did not have time for pudding which was a shame.

The restaurant is run by the whole family, they are always so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is fab, very lively; the place is always busy, so it is better to book a table in advance, the prices are fair and portions are huge. I would definitely recommend it to anyone 🤩😋

Had my birthday dinner here over the weekend and it was amazing. We had the mezze menu and all the food was delicious and portion sizes were very generous. Insanely good value too. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating - it felt like being in someone's home. Can't wait to go back!

Had dinner with a large group (18), and the communication from the start was excellent. They were so efficient and managed to accommodate our group on a busy Saturday night with very last-minute notice. The service was very friendly and welcoming, not pushy, considering the size of our group. We opted for the Meze menu, and the grilled meats were delightfully juicy. The overall food quality was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced for London dining, with very generous portions. Thanks to Chase, who made us feel very welcome. The only thing I'd say is the entrance is kind of hidden, not clearly visible, and difficult to spot, so you may miss it. However, I would definitely go back!"

Great Greek spot in West London lovely family run restaurant with home style cooking. I highly recommend having the mezze so you can get the authentic long dinner experience. The speakeasy atmosphere is wonderful, you feel like you’re eating in a secret spot only a few people know about.

Tsiakkos & Charcoal is the absolute best. It is a hidden neighborhood gem with amazing authentic food and a perfect combination of fun & cosy. George and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We recently rented out the back garden for a private birthday party and couldn't have asked for a better time. George was so communicative through planning the entire thing and willing to be flexible to our groups needs. Thank you Tsiakkos! Can't wait to return

Everything was perfect -- service, food, wine (went with the suggested bottle of Papagiannakos Erythros (red) over the one we originally chose). My husband had the Kleftico (lamb). It was flavorful and the meat fell off the bone. It was hopping busy, yet the staff managed to be very attentive. They even remembered our names throughout the evening, wow!

Unbelievable! Get the meze for £35-enough to feed an army

It's noisy and cramped. The service is a little hit and miss. I really enjoyed the food and will be going back. The meze is really significant, with different mains coming at different times (this threw me as a newbie to the venue), but I left having over eaten on some really lovely food.

There are a lot of locals who do not want to share this Fantastic Greek restaurant around the corner…just in case they can’t get in… they might have to queue or find it’s fully booked…come early you’ll find young lovers on their first date, come late and the taxis are having a late snack… the arty types the captains of industry all know where to eat a good Greek meal…. Good place and marvelous dinner

Been recommended Tsiakkos and Charcoal for a while now from a few friends so it was about time I headed down there! First of all the greeting by our host for the evening Elisard was absolutely fantastic. Extremely hospitable young man making sure that all of the guests were greeted with a very warm welcome! The food was absolutely spot on. We ordered a few Meze dishes to start. The Halloumi and Hummus are a must!! Moving on to the mains and the Moussaka and Kleftico went down an absolute treat! Extremely generous sized portions and something we will be heading back for again!! 10000% a restaurant you need to get ticked off your list in London! Can't wait to return!!

5 starts to T&C hands down. Food was delicious, still dreaming about the pork lamb shoulder and lamb on the bone. Melted in your mouth and so full of flavour! Service was superb, Adam made us laugh all night long and was accommodating to find us a table at the last minute (highly recommend reserving in advance). Only regret is not having been able to eat more. Strongly recommend and can't wait to go back. Atmosphere 100% too!

Come Hungry!!! The BEST Greek food either side of the Atlantic! We came with a group of 21 Student for a group of 24 total!! They not only accommodated everyone’s diet requirements but brought plate after plate of AMAZING Greek delicacies!!! Appetizers and Entrees alike were simply DELICIOUS!!! This restaurant cooks with love and heart and soul! We will definitely be back!!!♥️💖♥️

Wonderful and passionate cooking. Don't expect to get the trappings of the London restaurant industry. Do expect to be overwhelmed by a genuine passion for food and welcomes. You will want to tip the waiters here and you need to have cash for that. They can't take a service charge or tip on your card for some reason.

Stökigt, stimmigt, fullsatt och trång miljö, just det är en stor del av nöjet att besöket här. Vi beställde meze och maten kom in i rask takt. Allt det klassiska från det grekiska köket fanns med och var utomordentligt gott. Lammet var bland det nästa någonsin var så extremt mört så det ramlade isär. Toppen bra personal bra service. Pyttelitet kök i lokalen gör att det är ganska mycket matos om man får sitta inne dock då är det en atmosfär som hör att det ”ingår” Kan varmt rekomenderas om du vill ha grekisk mat.
