True Love's in Sheffield

We hired this venue for my husband's 40th. Such a lovely venue; great vibes, cosy but classy decor, great food and the staff were amazing. Bally and his team (James/Naomi and the chefs) made it such a smooth process to organise and nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend having an event here, but equally the restaurant is fab, they serve amazing pizza!

We had a new year's dinner here. The food was good. The starter was a little bit underwhelming but it was still good. The pizza was much better. We really liked the pizzas. They did come a bit too fast tho. They gave us the pizzas as soon as we were finished with the starter. I would have really appreciated it if there was a bit more time in between.

Brought my son and his 5 friends for his 10th birthday. They were quite hyper after a session at an inflatable park and extremely hungry! They had the best time and the food was served quickly and was delicious! The staff were great with the kids. Thank you for accommodating us so last min! Would highly recommend!

Had a great time celebrating my friend's birthday. Friendly and knowledgeable service from James. Tasty food (we had the True Loves platter) and high quality drinks. Only quibble was it was a little cold (filthy weather outside). We will definitely be coming back and I will recommend to my friends.

Nice little place by the canal. The pizzas are fantastic as is the drink variety. Add to this the beautiful decor and you have found yourself a hidden gem near the heart of Sheffield.

Stayed in a nearby hotel and came across this place while walking along the canal on Saturday 31/8/24 Excellent food at a good price with very friendly staff and atmosphere. The young lady serving and bringing food is an absolute star and never stopped but always with a smile.

Excellent freshly made food.... and delish cocktails. A little out of the way on the Sheff Canal but what absolute awesome find. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. We shall be back 😁🤘

A little gem, in a beautiful and remote area of Sheffield large selection of food and drinks too. Most importantly very friendly staff didn't get the bar tenders name but he was so friendly and helpful. My favourite pub in Sheffield.

Awesome atmosphere around the area next to canal. There were couple of places under the arches next to canal so stop for the nibbles because feeling hungry. I choose True Loves Platter because of recommendation. What a treat it was. Good service, nice atmosphere and delicious food, who never enjoy it. Great time.

Wonderful meal - met with a very warm welcome, the food was excellent and the staff are clearly incredibly passionate about what they’re doing, creating excellent food with local produce. The chef came out to talk to us about the meats and cheeses and was knowledgeable and friendly. Great wine to accompany the food and few different beers on tap. Highly recommend. Ideal if you’re staying in any of the hotels around there as it’s so close and right on the water.

A quiet Thursday night in town but True Loves was perfect for a girly catch up. Food and service were impeccable. Really made to feel very welcome by James behind the bar. Lovely setting at Victoria Quays. Perfect for a cosy eve inside or a summer drink outside. Highly recommend

True Loves is a rare place. It’s captures both a warmth and a friendliness that is hard to find in a local bar these days. At the same time, as an independent, it manages to maintain an air of class and style that sets it apart from other options. Whether it’s the food, which is clearly freshly made with good produce or the drinks selection which is curated, True Loves is a sure fire winner for a decent night out. The bar manager Goodlad will take you under his wing offering you enthusiastic advice about the food and drink and perhaps, if you are lucky, offer you a hilarious tale or two. The perfect local bar doesn’t exist, but if it did, True Loves would be it.

What True Love’s lacks in size it makes up for in insane food, atmosphere and dedication to you having a good time. After going here consistently for over a year I can ensure you it is not a fluke. From their amazing pizza to their unbelievable loaded fries and signature specials it does not skimp quality. If you want to feel safe and welcome then this is the place to go, if I could rate it 10 stars I easily would

Fantastic location, especially on a warm September day. Sheffield has some lovely canal side locations. Staff first rate could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Excellent pizza and great value. Nice selection of drinks. Highly recommended.

Lovely little place in Victoria Quay. The boards are amazing, try the charcoal cheddar if you can. Really passionate staff too who care about the food and drink they make and serve.

Lovely venue, very attentive staff, with obvious passion for food and drink.

They managed to sort 7 of us out with some very nice pizzas and loaded fries after they had a particularly busy day and were running low. Got invited in for some shots and to sing happy birthday to the owner afterwards 😂 sound place and sound staff

We sat outside this weekend and it was so nice. We ordered a sharing board and was very grateful for the advice on what the cheeses were like. My hubby couldn't decide on which wine to choose, the waiter was very knowledgeable and helped my hubby choose the perfect one. Couldn't have asked for more. I know it might seem a little out of the way, but it really is a little gem on a lovely Saturday afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious food, lovely staff and dog friendly. I've had the charcuterie boards a few times and the staff will give recommendations on what to choose and it's presented so prettily They'd had some special cheese for valentines leftover so we went home with an extra truckle of yummy Sheffield forge!

Absolutely love this place, such a little gem on the quays. Inside is wheelchair accessible with a lift. Toilets were clean and modern, as well as the restaurant being decorated nicely. The food was absolutely amazing, and decently priced for the quality you get. Small range of drinks however most bases are covered: lager, cider, cocktails and wine. They have outdoor seating which is lovely in the summer months. To finish off our meal we had their charcoal cheese which convinced us to return multiple times and even buy some for home. 100% recommend for a relaxed meal in Sheffield. Parking close to restaurant also.

Pizzas were unreal, the To Skeggy & Back was phenomenal. Great service and a fantastic location. Highly recommend visiting!

Lovely little Independant resturant the staff were friendly and knowledgeable regarding the food and wines. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. One little niggle was the lack of heating as it was freezing outside it was chilly in the resturant to the point I had to put my coat on whilst eating my food

We booked True Loves for a graduation celebration and it couldn’t have been better. Luke was amazing and really helped make the occasion fun. The locally-sourced food (True Loves Platter) was delicious as were the drinks! “Grazie mille” guys for going out of your way to make it a special day for our family and friends. Highly recommend for group celebrations!

Ordered a vegan pizza, the toppings were almost non-existent. Maybe a teaspoon of artichoke, capsicum and olives. Never seen such a tight portion of toppings. Not worth the £11!!!

Good food good service and good prices.

Had a great evening with friends, charcuterie and flights of wine. The selection of cheeses were varied and plentiful. For £33 the largest board served 3 of us easily with pork pie, breads, meats, fruits, and plenty of other nibbles. Great to know the produce was local & was served by knowledgeable, friendly staff. Luke was particularly attentive and gave his thoughts and recommendations to us which was much appreciated!! The selection of wine was also very nice - the flights let you try three different varieties that compliment each other and are served with notes. And the cocktails were also great. Definitely recommended for a nice evening by the Quay.

Food great. Pizza best I’ve had in ages and I look forward to trying the charcuterie plate on another visit. Service friendly and helpful, but a bit slow, despite not being particularly busy. Noticed people on another table arrive, wait a while and leave without an order being taken. I was completely up for a lazy lunch but might be a problem for some.

Nicely decorated restaurant with areas to eat inside or outside next to the canal. Shared a fantastic charcuterie board, 3 types of cheese, 2 types of meat served with bread crackers olives grapes etc. An Italian wine flight was the perfect option for our drink choice.

Been waiting for ages to try true loves ! Finally got chance to call by yesterday with my work mates. I really like the menu, it ranges from Yorkshire tapas and mezze boards to pizzas and sarnies and is broader than I had imagined. I ordered a mezze board with 2 types of meat and a charcoal cheddar. The olives were amazing. I was pleased with my choice and really enjoyed it sat munching by the canal watching the boats. My work mates ordered a tasty pizza that was apparently very good, and a couple of them ordered the sandwiches that were good but a small portion. One of my colleagues was still so hungry after eating it she ordered a pizza too 😂. We also drank 2 bottles of a lovley pinot between the 5 of us. Overall the location makes it worth a visit on a sunny day , and the food was good, but maybe order extra if your very hungry, and don't expect the staff to know answers to any of your questions about the food or drink😬. More training definitely needed for our waiter

Smashed it! Potentially a contender for best pizza in Sheff and the fries were spot on! Staff were sound despite being short staffed n really busy.

Great time at True loves there was a festival on and atmosphere was electric. Food great and music good.

Nice venue but it took almost 2 hours to have 3 kids and 4 regular pizzas made, a couple of which weren’t great, staff didn’t respond well when we flagged this as an issue, assuming the kitchen were having a bad night unfortunately

Service good, food was OK, we had the true love platter showed as £29 on the menu but was charged £32. The selection of cheeses were not varied enough, and the same could be said off the charcuteri in that they were all pork based, no venison etc. A pork pie had no reason to be there particularly a cold one which didn't seem to be the best quality. Coffee and soft drinks were nice.

Apologies as I should’ve posted this last year. We hired out a room of trueloves for after our mini wedding due to Many cancellations from covid. The staff from start to finish was amazing the food was great we were well and truly looked after and we loved every bit. Thank you sooo much for everything you did

Lovely place and people. Fit us in without booking, and did our order quickly as we were in a hurry. Lots of nice touches, with decor and food. The blue fries were fantastic, pizza authentic (no garlic as it should be). Wish we'd had time to come again to try more, Eg the pork pie and flights of wine! We will be back.

Very noice pizza- Skeggy prawn one. The base was excellent and crisp. Also had the "reyt hot fries" which packed a punch! Not sure on the overall bill as an associate settled it-noice. Would return in summer.....oooh babby.

I had the "To Skeggy and Back" pizza. Probably the best pizza I've had in Sheffield. I also had some "cheese toasty" loaded fries which were also amazing.

Nice area tasty foods . One chef on lunchtime delay foods serve, but other all good.
