The chips were alright though a bit soaked in fat, the fish was nice but the batter was disgusting thick mush. At £11.30 it's well over priced too.

Super fast service, friendly staff and the best fish and chips I have had for a long time! Sooo tasty and crispy! We are on holiday in the area and popped in based on reviews and it exceeded my expectations! The whole family loved the fish, chips and curry sauce.

The Best Chip Shop ever!! We go all the time as the fish and chips and vegan options taste amazing and just being in there always puts a smile on your face as the small family who run and own it are such lovely lovely people. Highly recommend =)

02 04 24 bought fish and chips 13.50 but chips seedless to be atleast 3 hours old like warm and off. fish 5 out of 10. not sure how it rates 4.7????

Having recently lost my dad (whose favorite food was fish and chips) I was looking for a place that could cater for my vegan wife so we could have some in honour of him. Having travelled across the city to find a vegan fish and chip shop, we weren't disappointed. The food was amazing, with good size portions. As well as top quality vegan food, us carnivores are also well catered for with some of the nicest chip shop fishes I've ever had. The people who run the place are really lovely as well. Will definitely be back, and would certainly recommend.

Came here on Friday and ordered the Vegan Mixed Box. Was absolutely awesome, even the chips were super tasty. And BATTERED OREO'S!!! (Need I say more?!) 😍 Really reasonable prices and lovely staff too!

Great family business with an amazing selection of Vegan chip Shop food

6 of us had fish chips peas curry sauce yesterday. The fish was exceptional and the batter so crisp and light. We all loved every morsel, this has the be the best fish and chips in Sheffield.

Have been here a few times and we have always enjoyed our meals. Well cooked, fresh and hot. Staff are really friendly and pleasant and though busy with customers always clean. Would definitely recommend!!

Favourite chip shop with loads of options for my vegetarian boyfriend including pea fritters and veggie battered sausages. We have moved further out from the city centre but still always get our fish and chips from here as they are our favourite!

The Ranmoor Friery is amazing. This evening they provided food for over 30 singers and a brass band. Despite it being a huge order they had it ready on time, perfectly packaged, exactly right and it was delicious! Thank you so much for your incredible service, you couldn't have been more helpful.

Beat chippy in Sheffield, not too greasy and lots of selection for veggies and vegans, although I'm marking down for price, over £4 for a large chips is a bit too much in my opinion

After seeing positive reviews I drove 13.6 miles to this place which was meant to be a “High Class” fish and chips shop, however I was absolutely disappointed, gutted and disgusted with the quality of the fish and chips. The fish and chips with sauce cost me over £10 each I bought 3 (Very pricey) in the shop the Fish and chips on the menu board says it’s around £3.50-£6.00 however this is incorrect and misleading as they have not updated their menu to say they have been there for such a long time. I will be forwarding this complaint to Trading Standards and Food and Safety team as this is not acceptable having a menu with prices which is over 10 years old. The workers were the Father and Son Duo who were okay but the chips on all 3 fish and chips was cold and dark coloured the fish was not the quality you would expect in a “Posh and upper class area of Sheffield” I must say I was extremely upset and disappointed. Specially when I paid over £36 pounds for 3 fish and chips and 2 drinks. Either the son and father committed a day light robbery or this place needs to fix up and change their prices on the menu and being misleading for a 0.5 Star quality fish and chips. It’s time they fixed up and they will be getting a visit from Trading Standards and Health and Safety regarding their food and experience I had. I am a civil service worker and I will take this further. I will be ringing in for my refund or fix your service and offer better quality food when your charging high class money for such a low, over cooked and cold food. Disgusting food. I have never been more disappointed in food ever. This place has put me off from Fish and Chips.

Best chippy I've ever been to anywhere. The food is really consistently really nicely cooked and delicious. They must have some special secret to their chips. Staff are super friendly. Good people, good food. Can't go wrong.

Great experience here, having seen the excellent reviews. Friendly owners who prepared my order quickly despite the queue. Purchased chips with their spicy curry sauce - both were delicious! Planning to come back again to try more of their menu.

Not our usual chippy, but we thought we’d give it a try. I Large Chips, 2 Medium Fish, 1 curry sauce £18.80. The chips were good and the staff friendly which is why the stars, but the fish… awful, simply couldn’t face finishing it. We will not be returning ☹️

Get the Vegan selection box! First time at RF last night and it was mega, definitely going back asap. The food (chips, curry sauce, nuggets, pea fritter, battered sausage) was so good and great value for money - great to see a progressive chippy in Sheffield. There's rumour of a vegan desert coming soon too!! 10/10, give it a go.

We hadn't been here since corona and we're so glad we went back. The food was outstanding, we had the vegan burger box, vegan selection box and a cod and chips. Always amazed at the range that they offer and for such reasonable prices. The service was also really lovely as always, discussed how unfortunate corona had been for the business so i would emphasize how important it is to support local business especially this one!

Best chippy in Sheffield by a margin, still warm fresh and not at all greasy even when delivered to other side of town, chips are even tasty cold. Closest thing to actual Yorkshire coast fish and chips you will find anywhere nearby

I eagerly visited this place the other day after heading rave reviews. Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the vegan box, my friends who got fish and scampi complained about the fish not being cooked properly and very soggy, for the price they charge as well it is very disappointing! I would come back for myself for the vegan box, however not the fish!

Well. I haven’t had chips and curry sauce in SO long as my pregnant wife is off potatoes. I was NOT disappointed...and the vegan sausage was gooood. So happy right now.

Ranmoor Friery is quite possibly the best chippy anywhere ever. If you value good food made by genuinely good kind people then please come here and throw your money at them. The sausages and vegan sausages are amazing. The chips are amazing. The people are amazing. It's definitely at bare minimum the best chippy in Sheffield. We regularly drive across town to go there. The people that run that place are the kind of people that as soon as you meet them you know they are good people with warm hearts. I'll probably invite them to my wedding. Take your first dates there? BOOM. They're in love. Take your estranged relatives there? BOOM. Your Aunt Hilda stops being a nosy B and your dad accepts your gay, thinks your partner is wonderful and is just happy you're in love. Take just yourself and your depressed little heart there? BOOM Vegan sausages (plus a little therapy and maybe some medication) SORTED. Love yourself and go to Ranmoor Friery. You will not regret it.
