This is the worst eating establishment that I have ever visited. The owners / staff were arrogant, unfriendly, rude and impatient when question were asked about certain dishes ( ingredients ). They didn't like it Their facial expressions says it all . Furthermore, the quality of the food is mediocre and over priced.( Roti curry lamb cheap pieces and fatty)). This place is not about serving customers in a pleasant welcoming atmosphere. This is a cold, uncomfortable ambiance of unsmiling faces taking your order before finishing reading the menu. You are feeling rushed to place the order although on that day the place was virtually empty. I have specifically requested doubles WITHOUT hot peppers for my two young children ( 4yr & 6yr). As I handed over the snack to the hungry children both ended up coughing and choking!! Both children were screaming and crying it burns, it burns!! Suddenly I realised the owner/ staff served the doubles with HOT chili peppers!!! I managed to calm the children with some cold milk purchased from the shop next door. Then I returned the products explaining the error made and the distress caused to my kids but adamantly they refused to replace the order because I HAVE ASKED DOUBLES WITH HOT PEPPERS ?? The owner made a spectacle of herself by gesticulating her arms, yelling on the top of her voice with treats you are BANNED from my shop, YOU ARE BANNED!!! Ready to escort me physically if she could. . Baffled with horror I called out for help from the passers-by who kindly offered their support to me & my children and horrified by what they have just witnessed. We left the Roti place shaken and promised never ever returned there!!!!!

Excellent service, and suitably spicy food!. Enjoyed a Lamb Roti which was hotter than today 19th. Phew........................

Stale ,meat dry ,old and not even sure if it was mutton,Roti Brown and Stale.I been coming for years, I would not recommend this establishment, this is the 3rd occasions that I have been very dissatisfied and travel 26 miles for awful food.Dissappointed is an understatement.I threw it away so unfortunately no picture.It would be a sin to write a false statement against a good food establishment, so please take my word: The standards have deteriorated and it ain't value for money when you can't eat the food.

Good quality food and very tasty, had many Roti's from different countries and was impressed by the standard , will be my go too place for Carribean food

Trinidad Roti Shop catered an event for my workplace and it was absolutely amazing - delicious food, gorgeous presentation and they are lovely people. Everyone loved it and was talking about how delicious the food was - 100% recommended.

So I went to this take away this afternoon Friday 04 August 2023. I have not been here for a few years as I am normally working away I ordered a special for £9.00 .The special was curry goat and plain rice. I waited exactly 30 minutes for my take away order . The owners son was in the shop . I then left and went to the salon a few mins away. I opened the container and on the top was a small square of macaroni cheese .In the bag was coleslaw. There was plantain in the container which was dry as the desert in the Sahara .It tasted old .In parts of the container some of the rice was cold and parts were hot ..There were a few small pieces of goat which .It was awful and chewy, dried up no sauce . It was like she just quickly boiled up some goat and threw on some curry seasoning. I did not want to return it but then I thought no I had better take it back .I went back to the takeaway and I told the son I was disappointed with the food in a nice manner .The mother came out and told him "She is from that family in Notting hill she always complains." Erm I have never complained before and I am not from Notting hill..She shouted at me "Get out Get out of my shop".I did not want my money back but wanted them to know there was an issue .Will I return never ever .She has no people's skills .Instead she could have discussed this situation professionally but this lady is very very rude .The ladies in the hair salon told me they heard many stories about her .Please it's 2023 be nice to your customers . Just listen once in a while or your business will go down the pan.

Do not buy £15 for curry goat to get 3 smallest pieces of meat I have ever seen, little to no sauce. And dry and crispy rice and peas

I visited this establishment recently and was so appalled by the elderly lady behind the desk. I’ve heard various people in the community talk bad about this place and thought that it really can’t be that bad. It really is! This lady walked away whilst I was still talking to her! The audacity. I don’t like my roti soaked in gravy, I asked her if it would be ok to serve the meat beside it. She said that’s not how they serve it and that’s how I’m going to get it, then turned her back and walked away. My son was so shocked. You are a business, we are consumers. Consumers keep your business going. Absolutely shocking!

We often make the trip from Birmingham to stock up on their wonderful food which as a good as it gets outside Trinidad . Ignore all the haters as the staff are more than helpful and polite although some of you old West Indian ladies need to lean some manners when dealing with people as my wife and I have have witnessed some very abusive behaviour to them

Ordered so called "curry goat" to be given mostly potato and raw meat (see pictures below). Phoned the shop to give feedback and to come to a resolution. Only to be insulted by the owner, who apparently has been cooking for years. Every Caribbean person knows Curry Goat needs to be cooked on a low heat for 3-4 hours not only 2hrs. Owner called me "stupid" and told me to "f*** off". I spent a total of £57 which I will be claiming back through my bank and reporting the shop to trading standards.

Utterly disgusting Roti. The fish had skin, fat and bones curried into the most salty and flavor deprived curry. I was ashamed that this is a representation of Caribbean Cuisine. I ate the roti skin and threw away the entire filling due to how foul it tasted and how unclean the fish was. Giving the pig-worthy responses to negative reviews on this page, it’s clear where the stench of mediocre is coming from. Shut it down and lock away the key, it’s a poor representation of beautiful Caribbean food and no one who lives on the islands would buy it. You’re gentrifying your own cultural foods. Please fix this Bobby If you and Dolci can’t do better, shut the shop ASAP

The food was great with loads of flavour. Freshly prepared and served with a delicious tamarind chutney. Polite and helpful chef/owner. Nice option for Trinis in North London to eat authentic Trini rotis and doubles. She also had some local snacks and drinks for sale.

My first visit but definitely not my last. Big thank you to Dulcie such a warm and friendly welcome. The food was amazing I ordered a chickpea Double which was beautiful. Two mutton rotis which were huge and delicious having the other one for dinner tonight 😁 and a mutton and rice dinner for my wife who assured me it was delicious. Will definitely be going back cannot wait. Its a yes from me😁

Long time since I’ve been here as usually go to Roti Joupa. Bought a shrimp roti & a phoulourie. Well, who asked me to go by this lot. I could have knocked someone out with the phoulourie. It was so hard. Thank God I’ve got my own teeth, although it was touch & go st one point, that I’d hold onto them. I called to complain & was offered an exchange. Told the polite Indian guy taking the orders that it wasn’t worth my while as I’d driven there. I have eaten phoulourie here & abroad & that’s the worst I’ve ever had! It was either stale or put in the fridge. Even though this isn’t an advert for Roti Joupa, let me take myself back there.

Cant believe what just happened really. Im in a bit of shock as I’ve never ever encountered such rudeness on this level before from any restauranteur!! I just rang to make an order of about 6 things. All of a sudden the guy butted in and said I’m sorry I can’t take your order and then put the phone down! I called back and asked what happened and he said he’s had a lot of prank calls and he can’t take my order - then put the phone down again!! He was very curt in his response (I felt very accused), there were no questions, no dialogue and no negotiation (not even the suggestion to pay on the phone before I come). What kind of customer service is that?!!! You don’t deal with customers like this even when you have had a bad experience with other ‘customers’ … never again!!!!

What can I say about this place. I love it !! Roti is beautiful . The service is so professional and the owners really care. I cannot wait to pop down on a Saturday for my black pudding. The roti's are carefully prepared and made with love. I travel from Maidenhead just for these roti's !!!

Been here before pre covid/lockdown and the experience was okay - not the best roti I’ve had as it was rather dry and the curry goat had a lot of bones (other roti places tend to buy just the goat meat or at least pick out majority bones). My experience today was awful - I’m medically exempt from wearing a mask/face covering (I showed my exemption badge) to be told I can’t purchase food from here. I don’t live in North West London and on this occasion I fancied a roti. The shop had protective screens up and only contact would be the food exchange (I had the exact money to leave on the side) The man was actually rather rude - whilst I can appreciate ‘protecting the vulnerable’ he barked at me that the vulnerable was round the back of the shop... I’m all for supporting a black business but this is where a lot fail... basic customer service and manners. I was told to order online - again I’m not from the area and was passing through or I should get someone else to order on my behalf - I was by myself. I’m aware of the guidelines of wearing a mask and whilst a lot of stores say to wear a mask on entry IM EXEMPT. I couldn’t believe as a PAYING customer I was refused. I won’t be coming back here nor will I recommend. #BEKIND is definitely needed within this establishment. The man could’ve easily said: “unfortunately because you’re exempt and can’t wear a mask, I can take the order but please wait outside and when it’s ready I’ll leave it on the table. Please have the correct change and also leave on the table”. Completely shocked by the awful customer service especially from an older generation man. Reading other reviews from other people I’m not the only ones to find them rude and reading their responses...woah... strengthens my point. Maybe I and others are the wrong shade of black for them.

Made telephone order Prawn & Mutton Roti arrived at shop, order had not been prepaired or processed and was made to wait for another 10mins outside in the cold because I did have a mask which was fair enough. Then the short chap came out...

The food here is really, really bad. I've never made or eaten such drier doubles or roti in my life. Please get another chef to cook. One that takes cooking a national dish seriously and not serving up drier than tanties foot, dishes.

as a vegan i always get the veg roti which i love its always tasty it fills you up and the service here is great, a local family owned buisness... makesure you go by and try some food youll become a regular like me.

If you are a roti fiend, then you may know that Trinidad Rotis are the best and these are the best I could find. Nothing microwaved here. The rotis are made fresh everyday and the fillings are delicious.

Authentic, passionate, delicious “Trini” food. I have been going to this amazing take away for more than ten years and can honestly say, the standard has never dropped! Without any Trinidadian family roots bias, I would highly recommend “aunty’s” homemade cuisine.Go there now❤️🇹🇹

Authentic, beautifully cooked introduction to the food of Trinidad & Tobago. Friendly, helpful staff. The only reason l gave four stars is it needs a wider range of drinks, and it really should be a sit down restaurant. Tip: Try the King Prawn roti

Taste is great, but portion size appalling, plus they won't sell a Roti without filling????? Not value for money and far from what you expect for original Trinidad Roti. Overpriced and not value for money, very poor portion size.

We got the pholourie, veg roti, chicken roti, currant roll and coconut tart. The pholourie, roti and currant roll were sensational. Just good food - you can tell a lot of love has gone into the preparation. A few seats inside but not very comfy...

My friend and I have actually done a 30 mile round trip a few times to get a meal here! The food speaks for itself, absolutely delicious! If I’m ever working in Harlesden I’m sure to stop in for a chicken, beef or mutton Roti......
