Not the best chips from dinner gravy watery fish so so

Had delivery, food was piping hot, really really quickly delivered. So delicious 😋

Food is always hot and delivered on time, good selection of food and the staff are always friendly.

Absolutely amazing. The food is so yummy , and the portion sizes are brilliant. I can not fault this chippy at all. And is my local chippy . Not many let you pay by card or order online. These do. And if you build up enough points you can buy your food with the points. It's amazing honestly I can't fault this chippy . Only thing I wish they sold were noodle boxes. But for a British chippy it is amazing !!!

Have ordered a number of times .the food is really good and fresh quality. Staff are always friendly when I have come in this time I opted for delivery. It arrived ahead of delivery time .still nice and hot . This is going to be my 1st point of call from now on for takeaway food . Well done 👍

Just recently ordered small chips, large fish, carton of curry , carton of peas, just over £13. With delivery. Arrived in good time. Driver so polite. However when I opened my food I found a small tray with less than a scoop of chips, I rang the shop, only to be told new owners had taken over and reduced the portion size. The lady was so apologetic. I will never order from trident fish bar again.

Fantastic had trouble they never got my order but it was took out off bank they sorted it got food out to us amazing

Arrived at the trident fish bar for the first time, only one customer in which has already been served. Four persons behind the counter, but i had to wait until they served until my order was taken. Why? I ordered fish and chips, peas, and spicy curry. I understand a wait for fresh fish. The cook shouted out fish ready. And nothing! I could see my fish on the tray and nothing! Five minutes later, another shout out fish ready, and I got my order.. When I got home, lucky the fish was still hot and nice. But the chips were ok with a lot of crispy bits. The peas were salty?? The so-called spicy curry had no kick what so ever. Will not be visiting again!!!!!

I would like to say food was very good but I ordered for delivery at seven o’clock, it arrived before six o’clock had to heat it up later wasn’t ready for it.

Really Like the food and the website ordering is so quick but have stopped using cos the food always arrives stone cold. Shame as I do want to support local business. Updated 2024. Tried to use this takeaway 3 times, their website made it impossible to complete an online order. Such a shame locals can't support a local business. Has it been bought out like so many others. 😔

Really don't bother!! Ordered at 8.48pm got a receipt via email and confirmation on the app that it was being prep’ed food didn't turn up! Tried to ring but nobody picked up the phone Will not be bothering again and only gave 1 star as you carnt give none! Will be requesting a refund following day!

Wow, no often you get such beautifully made fish and chips, however this establishment never fails to impress me, keep up the amazing job 👍🏻.

Delivered 10 mins after the stated time but food was great and hot will be ordering again

When I placed my order, the estimated delivery time was 45 minutes. I called after an hour to be told that the food was sat waiting for a driver and would be another 15 minutes once collected. The order finally arrived 1h 30m after the order was placed, taking double the advised waiting time at the point of placing the order. The portion sizes seem to have changed since my last order. Chips are now served in a little container which has reduced the portion size by a good third, the price should be amended to reflect the smaller size. With my order of the fish bites, I found you get very inconsistent sizes. I ordered 2 portions to split 3 ways, I had 3 average size pieces and 3 much smaller pieces.

Made a big mistake I asked for a spice,y curry sauce to take away it has to be the worst curry I've ever tasted so bland all I have to say is never again put straight in the bin

Donner meat was tough and overcooked, always had great food before but could not eat it.

We have collected and also had deliveries, and each time the service was great. The food is freshly cooked so always hot. The fish is the best around and being able to choose small or large caters well for our family. The salt and pepper choices are a huge hit also, including salt and pepper scallops and salt and pepper fish bites. The prices are very good and we find it costs us a lot less to eat from here.

My families favourite chip shop. The salt and pepper donner box is amazing and we all love the hot curry sauce and especially the real chicken chunks/chicken nuggets.

Portion sizes are below par , small chips Is basically a handful, large chips Is more like a regular size portion ,about 3 handfuls, definitely not value for money , that said have no complaints about the quality of there food

I like this chippy but I have had spam fritters 3 times now, the first time they where fine but the last 2 times they where awful, way over cooked, the batter was far to crispy and just broke off when you cut in to the fritter, not nice at all, it was the same when i got battered sausage, the same issue with the batter, must admit it has put me off a bit.

03 May 2024 - tried one more time ordered food at 18.30 it arrived at 20.25. They said they were busy , nearly two hours, I’m tapped out delivery is awful, Took an hour and half to have delivered, was just dialling their number when the food was delivered. I knew delivery would be an hour but when you start getting past the 1.5 hour mark there should be a text service warning you of the delay. Food ok never had issues with food just delivery tends to be very slow

Great food but no toy given with kids meal as advertised on the website which was a little disappointing, especially once you have told the child that they will get one.

Best chippy in Runcorn hands down food is always fresh hot and tasty my go to for a cheeky takeaway and also great with the kids great atmosphere and friendly kind staff

Delivered very quickly. I wasn't overly impressed with the chips to be honest - they were ok but really didn't taste that fresh. Still a strong 4 stars.

I know this is a chippy firstly. But I've just got a mixed kebab from Here, really really good. The kebab meat was well done, just how I like it. Sauces where really good quality and the chicken was perfect. Tasty, juicy, 10/10. Picked it up myself, service was fast. Easily the best kebab I've had in runcorn. If it's like this everytime I'll be eating every kebab I ever have from this place now. Perfect 👌

No jackets left so had to have chips they forgot the salad and paid extra for cheese that’s twice now they forgot the cheese when I paid extra my partners dinner kebab was overcooked meat hard we use you all the time but very disappointed tonight

The Doner kebab was really dry, the salt an pepper chicken was not edable, on a plus side the fish and chips were ok

Food came fast but wasnt nice. Chips were too soggy. Chips were also tasteless. Curry sauce was too thick. Couldn't even pour it over the food. Chickens nuggets were burnt. Won't be using again so give my free points to someone else

Took over an hour and half from when I made the order, I ordered 2 kids meals and it states that you get a drink and a toy , but didn't receive ether and also ordered a 1.5 ltr bottle of pepsi and got a tango instead, not impressed for my first order and possibly my last

We waited tonight for 2 hours! It was my sons birthday and I thought I'd treat him. Had to phone up twice and they rang me to say our order was next! Still over half hour wait for that still. As a gesture we recieved a bottle of Pepsi and a piece of cake for the birthday boy. The fish I got was disgusting, too much batter, not enough fish. This is the 2nd time I've had a bad experience and I'm sorry but I won't be ordering from there again

Fish was OK not the best that I've had from trident. They need to work out portion control. In the past I have ordered regular portion of chips and it was just right but last night I asked for the same and it was more like a large, same goes when I have ordered a small portion it has arrived more like regular size. It is wasteful as it goes in the bin. Overall a nice chippy though

Food was great as it always is but the delivery was a horrendous experience, it took 2 hours and 55 minutes to arrive, when i booked it at 4:30pm it had an hour delivery wait time but it arrived at 7:25pm. I did call them to see where my food was and they said they would call me when it was out for delivery, they didn't !! Very poor customer service without any apology at all. Food was still good, just poor customer service.

Took 1 HR and 30 minutes to deliver 2 miles. When I said to the driver it was a long time he shrugged and said the food had only just been cooked. But it was stone cold and had to go in the microwave.

First time ordering here, was not great. The kids meal was supposed to include a juice and toy which we didn’t get. Chips were undercooked. Tried phoning and emailing, both unsuccessful.

Ordered through the app for delivery which was really easy to use. The food was nice and arrived hot it said delivery time was 1 hour but arrived in less than 1 hour so that is always a plus.

Normally very very good but I think because we went at a busy time, although the food was fresh it wasn’t as nice as normal. But that isn’t their fault it was busy and bonfire night put extra pressure on them. Still highly recommended!

I've tried tried & tried to like and support this chip shop but the chips just seem undercooked every single time! Need to change the chef or ingredients/ oil as there quite disgusting really ps. Don't dare walk past the fryers you'll have a shock of your life the colour of the cooking oil I've never seen anything like it

Last 3 orders have been overcooked chips, this gives them a slightly burned taste, my scampi was burned last time which ruined the meal, Portion sizes are smaller with food crammed into small polystyrene packaging so hardly any chips. I ordered a portion of regular chips separate instead of as a meal and still got a tiny portion which is not good for sharing and makes it more expensive. Delivery usually takes up to 2 hours but on occasion has been an hour.

Just had a order delivered . Worse meal I have had . Chips curry sauce and a chop suey roll.. My Wife had fish chip mushy peas . The fish was ok . The chop seuy roll had no chop seuy in it just mush . The chips were dry and greasy and luke . warm .threw 80% away Absolutely disappointing would recommend you go else where far better takeaways in the area.. Will never use this takeaway again . Be warned

Been to the Trident Fish Bar quite a few times now. The staff are always friendly and polite. You can eat in or takeaway, also you can order online and either have it delivered or pick it up yourself. Love the chips from here, best in Runcorn. Food is priced good and super tasty. Has good parking to.

Finding what looked like a piece of tooth in your sausage is enough to make you not go back there ( it could have been plastic) but still I swallowed some of what it was. So that's a health risk, on top of that bad experience some of the chips were raw too... Lost a customer, I'd advise getting a better supplier of sausages.

Had 3 drinks delivered with the meal. None were correct. Called up, apparently they had none of what we'd requested in stock so provided what they deemd best. We don't like anything they've sent. I asked why they didn't call before to advise us, was they're too busy to do that (provide customer service). When I repeated that I've paid for something and they've given us something different, they've said they'll try and send someone to fix it (no idea how if they don't have it and they didn't take an alternative) but they have no Idea when. Poor customer service all round, poor stock mananage /website linking, and they have the audacity to ask for tip up front which stupidly I did (I will never do this on any service I see it on again).

First time in months that the order came on time. Have waited nearly 2 hours on previous orders. This order included a meal of sausage, chips and gravy. 1 sausage, less than a small portion of chips and the peas and gravy were awful.

Went there tonight...inundersand they were busy but i stood there for about 5 minites qaiting to order and was totally ignored and then and older gentleman walked and was served straight away..I left and went elsewhere really poor service.

Friendly staff, patchy service. I went there last week and said: give me a tennersworth of food. Got chicken, fish, salt and pepper chips and salad. It was great. I even phoned them to congratulate them. Went there tonight and asked for the same and just got chips upon chips upon bloody chips. I don't like chips. Different crew, I guess. Heavily disappointed. I may give it a third try, but specify: easy on the freaking chips ffs

Was nice when first opened but now is disgusting just had this for family tea and the chips looked like they was yesterday's left overs and was very hard and very under cooked will definitely not recommend won't be going back here ever again
