Food arrived wrong and tasted horrible. However the service and attention we received from Josh was outstanding. He was so pleasant and friendly and eager to help. He deserves recognition.

Nice pint, usual pub chain food but good and hot, service at the bar could be better, a couple of staff seemed more interested in each other than who needed serving. All in all a good meal and waiting staff were polite and helpful.

Very tasty food for good prices

This was a let down this week and I won't be comming back. There was 4 adults they paid separately, they got there meals about 10 mins before ours. Apparently had wrong table number down for ours so the meals were going all round restaurant then being taken back to the kitchen. As I ate mine I felt the crumb on the chicken seamed burnt. I was sick about 2 hrs after. The other couple one had the same as me the bbq double chicken burger and found out he was ill during the night. This has put me off and I will not be retuning.

Visiting the family in the Grimsby area and visited the trawl I do love a green king pub.The food was lovely and service outstanding and the Zane who I believe to be the manager went above and beyond to cater for the family.I will definitely return to this pub one of the best if not the best I have been to thanks Zane and the team.

Came in for my sons 2nd birthday, food was prompt, service was good, birthday boy even got a free ice cream.

My first visit with friends. A varied menu, with food coming quickly considering how busy it was. No issues with any of our meals.

A meal for two on the 18th Feb. The service was good, staff pleasant, the food not so. Starters - Chicken wings - brilliant freshly done and stinking hot. Main 1 Salmon, sweet potatoes corn on the cob. The salmon was overcooked, the sweet potatoe fries and the corn on the cob were cold. Main 2 Chicken curry, rice, poppadom and dip The curry was average and lacking on the quantity of chicken, the rice was fine, the poppadom and dip were good but the poppadom was soggy due to it been served with rice on top of it. Overall our 1st experience at the trawl was not good. Will we visit again? Definately not.

We pre booked and the table was ready when we arrived - we had a brilliant meal which exceeded expectations in every way. Alex who took our order and served us was brilliant, she made us feel so welcome and really made it a five star experience!

We came to the trawl for a family meal for my dad's birthday. My daughter ordered lasagne. It came and it did not look nice in the dish. She tried it said it had no taste. There was no meat in it. We had it replaced and the second one was full of water. I had the steak pie. The gravey was that thick you could not poor it out the jug. Won't be going back

Ah, The Trawl. A Grimsby institution with a car park so vast it could host a monster truck rally. And a selection of drinks that would make anyone weep with joy (or perhaps just confusion at the sheer variety). But let's talk about the food, shall we? Specifically, the beef burgers. Now, I'm no geologist, but I'm fairly certain the burgers I was served on my last visit could be carbon-dated back to the Jurassic period. These weren't your average, juicy patties. Oh no, these were dense, petrified discs of beef that could have doubled as hockey pucks. I'm surprised the staff didn't serve them with a chisel and safety goggles. The service? Well, let's just say the staff weren't exactly breaking the land speed record. I'm pretty sure I saw a glacier move faster than my order being taken. Perhaps they were concerned that any sudden movements might trigger a seismic event, given the tectonic plates of beef masquerading as burgers on our table. But hey, let's not be too harsh. The Trawl has its charms. If you're looking for a place to park your aircraft carrier, or you fancy a leisurely pint while contemplating the meaning of life (and waiting for your food to arrive), then this is the place for you. Just maybe bring your own teeth. Disclaimer - This review was written in July only just posted now as seen in my drafts. Things hopefully have improved.

This is our local pub, we moved here in September last year. This is our 4th visit and apart from one lunchtime visit 3/4 have been poor. On our 1st visit the only Bitter available was John Smiths, at Christmas we had frozen vegetables served still frozen! (resulting in a dodgy tummy the day after) and today we've come for Sunday lunch and discovered that the extra large dinner is virtually the same as the standard except for the Yorkshire pudding. We had to ask for stuffing Unlikely to revisit. ☹️ 28/11/2024 Decided to revisit and nothing has changed. Overcooked cold food. Chicken was so dry it was inedible. My missus had the chicken sandwich, it came in a burnt bun, no tomato, no onion and the lettuce was brown! We were offered a refund. Will not be returning.

Carvey meat portion too small,yorkshire puddings still frozen in centre,in fairness to the latter full of apologies and replaced with free drink included. Children meals pretty decent. Honest feedback could do better.

The service was Really slow there was old chunks of food on the floor they never have the food that I like this place is not what it used to be standards have dropped unfortunately not worth going anymore.

Had a great experience at the Trawl today! The atmosphere wasn’t busy and was quiet! The food came really quickly and was hot and cooked to perfection! I have been here a couple of times now and the food is always spot on! The staff serve you with a smile too which always goes far!

Not a very nice place, I've got no complaints about the food the meal was nice BUT the meal I ordered came out wrong I was told by a young lass that's the meal you ordered haha don't think so I'm sure I know what I ordered she then got on her high horse and shouted I'm not standing here arguing with you, the meal was replaced like I said foods lovely, THEN my 11 year olds dessert came out wrong again, same delightful waitress came over picked it up didn't speak took it away brought the new one through it on the table at my daughter and walked off, absolute disgrace, if you want higher reviews I would get that little cow as far-away from there as possible, shame really where local been going in years

I can honestly say that I haven't had a bad meal at the Trawl for about 10 years now. We sometimes have to ask someone to come and clean the table before we can relax but the staff recently have been friendly and professional. A good local!
