I went there a couple of times during my school trip for breakfasts and dinners. The breakfast buffet is huge and everyone would find something to eat. For dinner I would recommend eating burgers , fish and chips and sandwiches . Every meal is fresh and tasty. The staff is really nice and friendly. The inside is clean and realeted to the menu. The location is very convenient, it is next to the overground station. I would recommend this place for family meetings and school trips :)

I went here early this morning and was told there wasn’t much left as it was nearing to the end of the breakfast, which was absolutely fine. The reception team kindly asked us to check what was left and if we were happy to go ahead in which we did. The reason why I’m given it such a low star is purely because of what seem to be kitchen stuff complaining in the dining room about reception, letting in People so close to the closing time. If such a problem, then we shouldn’t have been allowed to come in from the first place. He was complaining very loudly and obviously It made the atmosphere very uncomfortable. We arrived at 10:20 AM And we left at 10:30 AM which was bang on time for the buffet closing. We try to rush our meal so we won’t cause an inconvenience. Right after us, a family of six had arrived, which made the member of staff even more upset. He was shouting in the dining area along with the kitchen, and it was unprofessional on top of unacceptable. It's a shame because the food was okay.

I visited the Beefeater with a school trip. I've been there several times, and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the fish and chips; they were tasty and fresh. For breakfast, there is an excellent selection of side dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and peaceful. The location is close to public transport. All in all, I recommend this place for everyone who likes good food.

I just can't believe these poor reviews. I came with a group of teenagers and Beefeater was our restaurant for 4 days. The food was PHENOMENAL! Rich breakfast buffet - everyone left full and I never once heard anyone complain. I also recommend the buffet in the evening - very tasty niblets and sandwiches. Fish & chips - the best I've ever eaten. Burgers are also such that I want to repeat them. As for the service - Emilia is a treasure. The best manager I've ever met. Michal - the chef - simply the best! My students thanked him with applause. The restaurant is two steps from the station - large and clean. I will definitely come back here.

It was lovely to actually find a beefeater who would serve customers who hadn't stayed in the hotel. Our family have been using this chain of restaurants for decades for almost every celebratory family occasion so we're very distressed to see most of them will now only serve diners from the customers who stay at the hotel. We now have to travel 8 miles to be able to dine & with 2 frail elderly patrons with varying degrees of frailty, that's not easy. Other family members came too from Hampshire, Cornwall & even South Africa to join us. The menu has good choice, at very reasonable prices, is usually well cooked & presented, served in a timely manner & the staff were really lovely especially Priyesh. He treated us like royalty, was conversational & even moved us to another table, as we were placed next to an elderly couple, who had decided not to wear any hearing aid devices so the volume of their conversation made any conversing on our table virtually impossible! They have a lift for disabled patrons, plenty of parking (don't forget to register your vehicle when you get inside), a reasonably priced bar & although there were actually very few diners (I would advise that you need to rethink your policy about only serving hotel customers at most of your Beefeater restaurants, because it was obvious to us that this decision has affected the volume of clientele). It now takes us 40 minutes to get to our "local" Beefeater, instead of 10 & as one of our party had just come out of a hospital intensive care unit, the decision to have to travel through traffic almost made them not want to go. I think you need a rethink your "cost of living" decision not to keep all Beefeaters available for general public use because the 3 nearest us gad very impersonal messages when we tried to book up & a lot of older customers are not able to book tables online either. We can't be the only family affected this way.

If I could give 0 stars I would. All the food was cold, dry and not good quality. Was told no cocktails even though it’s advertised everywhere they have a deal on throughout the week. Coffee machine was turned off 2hrs before closing time so was told can’t have a coffee at the end of our meal. To top this all off our waitress, Pamela, was extremely rude, had a bad attitude from the moment we walked in, when trying to pay the card machine cut out many times but she had walked off during payment each time rather than staying with the machine and being polite. We drove 45 minutes to this one as the one near where we live has also gone down hill, maybe it’s time for Beefeater to go into liquidation.

During our two-night stay at the Premier Inn, a part of the Travellers Rest, we had the opportunity to enjoy both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The breakfast, while simple, met our needs as expected for budget accommodation. However, it was the exceptional service during our family dinner on our last night that truly stood out. Our group of nine, which included two toddlers and an infant, arrived without a reservation. Upon my early arrival, I was warmly greeted by the manager, Priyesh, who went above and beyond to accommodate us. He arranged for us to have a private area, allowing our twin daughters the freedom to move around without disturbing other guests. Additionally, he assigned his colleague, Pam, to attend to our table, and she was equally welcoming and attentive. The food at the restaurant, though typical for a Beefeater, was delicious. Nonetheless, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the extraordinary service provided by manager Priyesh, who consistently demonstrated exceptional hospitality from the moment we arrived until we left.

I don't know how this place survives, took an age to order, an age to arrive and an even longer age to grab the attention of the few workers. This place sapped my life force and I felt drained, we also did a "guess-the-time" the puddings would appear. Time has never moved more slowly, all goodwill extinguished and feeling thoroughly drained hoping this nightmare will end.

Got there on a Sunday. They told me there was no roast dinners, no cocktails. My wife wanted a steak combi, 3 different steaks....but no fillet, she asked if she could have 2 of the others, but no as it would upset their stock levels. When our steaks came were barely warm, contrast to the chips, they were really hot. Our waitress told us, this was because we ordered medium rare steaks... The chairs were dirty, my wife swapped her chair for a slightly less dirty chair.... We only went because we were sent a voucher 40% off main meal. Unfortunately I will not return here!

As a loyal patron of this hotel restaurant for the past decade, it's with a heavy heart that I must express my profound disappointment with the current state of affairs. While the staff members are undoubtedly dedicated and hardworking individuals, their efforts are overshadowed by the glaring mismanagement that plagues this establishment. During my recent visit, I was appalled to witness a scene that will forever be etched in my memory: a member of the staff, tears streaming down his face, attempting to apologize for the multitude of issues plaguing the restaurant. It was painfully evident that the staff are overworked to the point of exhaustion, a fact that was painfully evident in every aspect of my dining experience. Despite their valiant efforts, it was impossible to ignore the chaos unfolding around me. With half the usual number of staff members struggling to cope with double the workload, it's no wonder that mistakes were rampant and customer satisfaction was but a distant dream. Orders were forgotten, tables remained uncleared, and the once-impeccable service standards were but a distant memory. It breaks my heart to say this, but the once-charming ambiance of this restaurant has been irreversibly tainted by the incompetence of its management. No longer can I overlook the glaring flaws that have become synonymous with dining at this establishment. While the staff members deserve commendation for their unwavering dedication, it's clear that their efforts are being squandered by those in positions of authority who seem oblivious to the havoc they have wrought. In conclusion, it pains me to sever ties with a restaurant that has been a staple in my life for so many years. However, until meaningful changes are implemented to address the systemic issues that plague this establishment, I can no longer in good conscience recommend it to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience. It's time for the management to wake up and realize that the true heart and soul of any restaurant lie not in its decor or menu, but in the happiness and satisfaction of its customers. “Samuel Whitbread supported and helped to pass the Dolben Act of 1877 which highlighted the conditions that slaves were subjected to on the ships that took them from Africa to the plantations. Whitbread was key to calling attention in the House of Commons to the plight of slaves.” By quoting this I realise that the conditions for the staff here aren't comparable to how slaves were treated and by no means wish undermine the terrible conditions they faced however I’m quite sure Samuel Whitbread will be turning in his grave!

Wow. Came in waiting for my partner to arrive with our 8 week old baby for dinner. I told the server named (Steven/Stephen) that my partner and newborn baby were coming up in the lift, and we wanted to eat, so requested to sit in the restaurant. He immediately and strangely appeared to get defensive, and told me he ‘wasn’t even supposed to be based near the restaurant’ and they were short staffed so told me we’d have to sit in the pub. Slightly confused as there was so much room in the restaurant with only 1 table being served, I asked if there was no way we could sit in the restaurant for our dinner. The reaction was so rude. ‘As I’ve explained already we’re short staffed’ he said ‘you have to sit in the pub.’ His tone was very condescending and he was coming across very obnoxiously. I’d only just walked in! I was really annoyed by his reaction, but we sat in the pub regardless. A little afterwards, he came to our table and was rude again, asking aggressively if we had food allergies. He came back again, and told my partner we could sit in the restaurant from 6pm when they had more staff. We waited for an hour for the restaurant to become available for us and so didn’t order on his word we could go at 6pm. This man then finished his shift at 6pm and left. When we asked bar staff if we could go to restaurant as we had been told, the barman told us the restaurant was only ever available for pre bookings, so we couldn’t sit there tonight. He did not know why his colleague had lied to us. The bar staff were very friendly, but this individual was abhorrent. Food was good for price. Service from this one employee was abysmal.

Had lunch with a friend yesterday. Attentive staff, good food and excellent presentation, compliments to the chef. Great improvement from several years back.

The festive menu was good and the food and service was good. The only thing was they did not have any pate, although it was part of the festive menu, and weren't able to offer coffee! Other than that, it was most enjoyable.

We visited this place over the weekend for dinner. The service was atrocious. First of all we couldn’t sit where we wanted to. They are not that busy but had a lot of attitude from the time we got there. 1st ordered drinks they gave us Diet Coke when we asked for Coke Zero. When we complained they just shrugged their shoulders & insisted that it’s Coke Zero, we then ordered our starters but were told you have to order mains at the same time as it messes with their timings. So we asked if they can bring starters & then wait for a while to bring the mains. Again no that can’t be done, as that is their way of working. Food arrived the guy forgot to put through the peppercorn sauce order, no apology or nothing. The food was very good but the service was terrible & it’s different if they were busy but it was so quiet that they could have accommodated us in a better manner.TBH the staff did not care.

I have stayed at the Premier Inn that sits alongside this Beefeater many many times over the past 10 years. The food, service and staff have always been amazing. The staff have always been plentiful but on this visit there seems to have only been a maximum of 4 staff on duty including the chef. The poor staff seemed to be being run ragged. The 4 staff were trying to cover the pub and restaurant and they were doing the best that they could. Hopefully staffing levels will improve and this Beefeater can return to the great place to eat and drink that it always was

Nice food with a good choice for evening meals. Good choice of drinks too! Breakfast was a buffet style with cooked and continental options. All items were constantly topped up so they didn't run out, plenty of juices, water and hot drinks available.

I recently held a reception here for a wake and I have to say that I was very satisfied with the experience. The team leader Frank really went out of his way to ensure that everything was right, checking with me and proactively calling to resolve any queries. The buffet food actually exceeded my expectations, it was tasty and well prepared and a great price of £11pp including desert. We used the private reception room which was good, though a decor update in due course would be even better. Well done Travellers rest team! I will likely be back for other events.

Appealing customer service told after walking in from the premier inn attached that the place was full but it only had 2 people in it and 2 tables reserved so told we have to eat in the bar went to the bar nomenus and then told we had tomove to the restaurant as the bar wasn't taking food orders make your mind up for God's sake. Finally find something to eat but it's smothered in bbq sauce no puddings as a Sunday is only available on a Sunday!!!!!!!!!! Rubbish place nothing to eat or drink why?????????? Discusting and starving

Hardly anyone there, table booked for 8.30. Waiter was lovely, but clearly had too many jobs to be doing on his own. We were sat near the kitchen so could see our burgers ready, they were delivered nearly 15 minutes later, by a chef. The waiter did apologise and said he could resend the order but we didn't want to wait any longer. Can't imagine what it would be like if there were more than the 6 people in!

Not like its heyday in the 80s when it was a social centrepiece and well kept lawns and outdoor drinking was a joy. Now, poorly staffed, crockery everywhere not collected, simple things like ice cubes out of stock?!?! Needs an overhaul in management.

Maravilloso servicio. Llegamos a una hora tardía para ser Londres (22:00 mas o menos) y aún así nos atendieron (de hecho el cocinero se estaba yendo pero volvió a la cocina a cocinar). Una maravilla de sitio. 100% recomendado.

After a long day of travelling and football i was excited to finally have some proper food i ordered a burger with ketchup and a cheese slice only to find out that the burger had burger sauce smothered all over it and the cheese was basically rubber and the patty was very dry and over cooked. My dad a fillet stake for £21 and asked for rare to medium and it came way passed well done when he asked for it to be remade the stake was cooked right bur he could not eat due to the sinew and was un eatable and the chips were microwaved from the first stake as you can tell because it was too hot to be fresh i would not recommend eating here as the service is terrible as another family ordered dessert and complained that they had paid for something they had not eaten and then proceeded to sit for another half hour and nothing had arrived the restaurant has a nice setting

Ming Sing is our go-to local Chinese takeaway. We love the food and the service is personal, warm and friendly. They are also open to altering dishes according to taste, which really makes a difference. We've been repeat customers for some time now and will continue to be :)

It was more synchronicity than accident that the first Wetherspoons emerged from the first year of Thatcher: the rise of this business model walked hand in hand with the gradual erosion of the Working Men’s Club, where subsidised beer was part of the overall energy of what was on offer. Back in the day, men would sit so very loyally in these institutions, often finishing a shift, going straight there to either nurse beer or watch what entertainment on offer. It wasn’t urban myth that women of the seventies and eighties marriages would walk to these clubs and serve their men the dinner there, or come in for a row. The proverbial stay at home wife still exists, though today a far different creature, being kept happy with holidays, cars and home furnishings. This bar has an ignored tourist base: all Wetherspoons now, regardless of geography should be aware of the Arbnb market. But, like all chains, it has no hope of dealing with this energy, preferring instead to deal with the constraints of blanket brand approach. Here, moments away from the most exclusive boy’s school in the country exists a dogged Trinity: heavily pierced and tattooed staff with relationship interconnectivity with staff elsewhere in Harrow bars, gossip with customers that are not too happily married. 2 fiercely compromised gentlemen of note need really badly to hold court: one a compulsive gambler and self appointed Town Cryer/Snitch, the other a coke addict, needing cheap boooze and proximity to a nearby club that facilitates more time away from the missus. Both are guilty of rumour spreading to qualify for Anglo Saxon Village punishment. Further back from the seventies, gossips, snitches and muck spreaders were Cukked: bathed in excrement and shamed. The third aspect to this Trinity is the barring policy of Spoons. Here the really nasty alternative life of a post grad is eased with the power to barr. The town itself has the barring from this bar as a kind of weird Badge of Honor. Everyone who has it in them to give money to this institution has been barred at one time or another. Note that it took a huge amount of effort to have Greene King barr a very irritating individual claiming to be the cousin of Tim Martin. His very best friend sits here whilst others remain barred. Another visit is due. The poor social media (almost), says it all. Wetherspoons has it’s critics but remains a great brand. Reliability, social cohesion and a sense of history are it’s strengths. BUT, it has a tendency to be one thing in the centre of things and another in the suburbs and regions. It need not be so. A visit to The Beaten Docket in Cricklewood is where a traveller will find groups of guys playing cards, backgammon, enjoying each other without a whiff of a chance of one of them stabbing the backs of the league. Centrally located Spoons are a boon. If thinking that this bar represents brand or locale it serves, think again, go instead to the Three Wishes in Pinner or the Spoons in Baker St.
