Absolutely superb meal. We went for lunch. I had a vegan curry with okra and my husband had mutter panneer. We also had some very awesome pancakes. The service and atmosphere were excellent and the food was lovely. Will definitely go back.

This is the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Myself and partner went in at 7pm and got a table for two, we were sat down immediately then ignored for 15 minutes before we were given menus and asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered a small starter to share and two mains, two rices and a bread. The starter arrived pretty quickly but after over an hour (not exaggerating) I approached the server to ask where our food was. It was slightly busy but there was still empty tables and during the hour since we had order tables had come in, got their food and left. Anyway I mentioned we’d been waiting over an hour and where was the food, I was told oh yeah sorry don’t worry it’s on our way. After the table next to us which had come in at the same time as I approached the server got their mains I went up again and asked where the food was. The server apologised and was vague about when it was arriving, then the manager (I’m assuming) came out and said it’s busy and foods on our way. I said we don’t want it and we are leaving, I offered to pay for the drinks and starter which they gave us for free. We were one hour and 45 minutes and ruined our evening as we had plans to do something which left us very little time to do as we were still hungry and went elsewhere. What’s worse is due to our work schedule this was our valentines night we were having a week early and our entire plans were ruined. The restaurant itself had nice decor and the other tables food smelt and looked nice but I can’t confirm whether that was the case. Personally I will never try this place again because the service and experience was abysmal and there are lots of other restaurants in Aberdeen worth your time and money.

Served stale chicken biryani. Chicken was in a bad shape and when we raised this to the server she said sorry the person in the kitchen is new. Thats all!! No service hospitality courtesy of offering a replacement of dish or discount on the dish just a sorry for the plight of their kitchen. Kindly adjust... brilliant... shame!!

Have been here twice recently, and it doesn't disappoint. Food is tasty and well-priced, and the server is lovely. I especially like the veg biryani. 10/10 experience!

Kerala food was delicious, I highly recommend it! Service was great and fast. It was pretty packed, so maybe make a reservation. We ordered ahead and picked it up. Parking was a bit tough, but we risked parking on a side street to grab our food.

I practically order from Travancore every week. All the items are really good, delicious and my favorites...but today I ordered aubergine fry but I got aubergine bajji instead, I kindly request to request to change the item name since it is misleading. I expected spices masala fried aubergine as the nane suggest. I am disappointed only on this particular issue.

Consistently excellent, with unique dishes.

Firstly - Travancore food is excellent. No complaints there. Took 2 hours to arrive. Collection occured - I think - after 40 mins and it took 80 minutes to get to my house, 2 miles away. The drivers were very stressed and confused.

I recently visited [travencore] and was absolutely blown away by the experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a unique charm that sets it apart from other places in the area. The menu offers a creative twist on [Indian cuisine], with dishes that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious. I tried the lamb curu milagu and was amazed by its presentation and flavors—it’s clear that the chef takes great pride in their work.

Foos was really good, I had CHICKEN KURUMULUGU CURRY, was really tasty, ambience was great!

It was our second time visiting. Both time were excellent. The food is authentic, well cooked. Best we’ve had in its category. Both time the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We have a toddler with a milk allergy. They went out of the way to inform us about the dairy dishes and ensure my daughter was safe. Nothing was a problem to them. We will be going back.

If we could give this place 6 stars we would. BEST INDIAN FOOD EVER. Don't overthink it Food should be comforting. It should be a friendly reminder of why you were born with taste buds. And this place hit the mark. The staff is beyond friendly. They were very accommodating when we arrived without a reservation. The food came out warm and welcoming. We will definitely be back, if only to be greeted with a friendly smile.

Chana is good, rest was average. Chilli paneer was bland and not chilli.

Malabar chicken biriyani was below average.

We ordered Kothuporotta, and it was absolutely delightful! The flavors were perfectly balanced, each bite was a wonderful mix of spices and textures. But, the masala tea was not upto expectations.

So good, so delicious. The spices just meld together. Wish I lived closer to try the whole menu

My wife and I ordered some ice cold beers and enjoyed two different styles of curry dishes that were absolutely delicous. Our served were peonpt and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

Just finished dinner for two. Absolutely courteous people. Seated is in a nice part of the restaurant. I ordered a vegetarian thali. The starter soup is absolutely delicious. All the dishes in the thali are mouth watering and worth the money. Panneer mutter and mushroom rice were fantastic. All in all a very very tasty meal. Please visit this place if you wish to try some south Indian food. Highly recommended. Thanks Chef for a delicious meal🙏 Second visit last weekend, mushroom curry and channa were excellent. The appam was brilliant too. The vegetarian thali could have been made a little less spicy. Too much chilli heat takes the great flavours of South Indian cuisine. This is perhaps a personal opinion; nevertheless relevant to some when we pay for the food. However I’ll still highly recommend this place for the food overall!

A very rare (in the UK) Indian restaurant run by Indians and featuring South Indian cuisine (Kerala). If my home wasn't 400 miles away I'd be there frequently!

Fish curry was amazing. Kingfish. Much firmer than haddock but lovely. The dry beef curry was so different than any beef I have ever had. Wonderful experience all around.

Amazing authentic food !!! The sea food platter and the prawns niroli was mindblowing!! Our favorites were the parotta and appam.... The chef and their staff was so welcoming and pleasant !

Updating my rating with a photo from their fantastic Onam special meal. A much appreciated and eagerly awaited annual event. Needed advance booking (understandably) but was totally worth it. Travancore still remains the undisputed leader of excellence in South Indian cuisine up jere in the North East of Scotland.

I have tasted lamb coconut fry for this first time and I really loved it..🥰 I highly recommend that dish!! As i am regular customer yesterday it was very busy , though it was very busy they provided food on time and taste was very nice. I tried Chapathi, lamb pepper fry which are very good. Felt like home made food😊😋 I will visit once again surely

This Indian restaurant is full at the first moment that I got in and then had to come back again.. Guests sitting at the entrance might feel little colder as the other guests come go to the restaurant. Food is good and suitable for european standards. This restaurant is very good for groups. Sambar is good and has that tanginess. Fried onions on the biryani makes it a must try dish ! Customization available !!

First time visit. Food taste is good. But some dish must be accomplish rice/ bered. Like Cholay with rice/puri. Chicken with rice or naan. Good for customers. Some are coming for distance.

Okay. So we had a massive sadhya from them and it was just exemplary! We had about 13-14 side dishes,including 3 different types of Payasam, 5-6 curry dishes and the dry sorts. The highlight was the banana leaf 😂. Thanks for making this pre Onam celebration special. Hoping that you'd get more orders this year.

The BEEF fry is sooo good as well as the lamb the richness in the flavour as well as the smell that entices you is amazing. Dining in was so good that we ended up ordering takeaway the next night. 10/10 food would recommend.

I had ordered chicken dosa but I had potato curry inside and there is no taste of whole sea-bass fish I don’t recommend to go there

Very good kerala restaurant, we were visiting Abedeen and went in for a lunch. The food was delicious and to the authentic kerala taste. Highly recommended and a must visit, especially for kerala foodies.

just had lunch here! had the non-veg thaali hubby had business lunch set with dosa all very tasty and finished it off with a masala chai. i also took away masala dosa and appam set to enjoy at home definitely a good restaurant to come enjoy south indian food like dosa idly appam. fish pollichaathu and other kerala favourites definitely visiting again when in aberdeen next 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

The food is really good, the ambience and service is very nice as well. I'd suggest trying the chicken peralan and kidilan kozhi, loved both of it!

Have been a regular customer and have to say used to always impress us. This time felt disappointed as the masala inside the dosa was not so good. potatoes were hardly even smashed. It felt like it was made in a hurry and everything stuffed just for namesake. Coconut chutney was the disappointing very watery and had almost turned dark/ blackish in colour. All other orange coloured chutney also went straight into bin. Will have to look some other alternative for south Indian food next time.

One of my favourite Indian restaurants in Aberdeen. They absolutely nail south Indian cuisine, it's all authentic food! 🤩 I highly recommend the beef roast and the prices are fair and not too expensive.

Very nice little cute Indian restaurant. Staffs were all friendly. Me and my friend did not like the rice in the fish dish. Lamb with spinach was amazing! Sweet mango lasi was so nice! Will definitely be back!
