These lot are completely mocking the game , if you eat here and are happy with the food , you need to get out more . Disgusting little setup , grimey staff probably on £5 an hour . Rubber tasting frozen lobster tails worth about £3 if that . I haven’t been here since they opened about 4 years ago but I haven’t forgot that ONE time I went there and was given some dog food looking ish …….lol trap kitchen, yeah it’s a trap because when you get your food home you are going to want an immediate refund but guess what ……you’re trapped with it 💀

Absolutely disgusting food!!! Smelt horrendous! Not tiger prawns and the lobster tail was a small measly overcooked piece. So called crab sauce was a flavoured mayonnaise. Avoid!!!!!

Girl behind the til was really off & rude, it looks scruffy inside and there’s not even a menu to look through & the food was sooooo over priced for what it was! Me & my partner spent £60 on a take away meal for two which wasn’t good.. giving 1 star because the mac and cheese was nice.

There was a horrible smell coming from the lobster tail and it was chewing I'm pretty sure fresh sea food isn't like that and the mac & cheese tasted🤮 the corn didn't even taste like and was over cooked and stale.The prawns and waffles were nice but definitely wouldn't order from here again I spent £31 what a waste.

Ordered the ballers munch box for £25. - 1x Lobster tail 7.5/10 - for £25 we need 2 tails here!, also would be good if it came with butter sauce - 4x Cajun wings- 7/10 - needed fresher wings - 4x Bang bang prawns- 8/10 - tasted good, would’ve liked more - Mac and cheese 4/10 - did not taste nice at all, some weird herbal seasoning and no visible cheese - 4x Oreo waffle 6/10 (tasted 4 days old, would’ve preferred a rice/vegetable side instead) Overall for the £25 price I would rate this a 7/10. The flavours, bar the mac and cheese were good. The quality was good. The presentation was good. I like how this is different compared to most other shops on any other road. Trap kitchen can only improve. The way you gotta look at it, is whether people will come again and routinely spend £25 on said box. The answer is they won’t. If we can justify the £25 price tag by adding more to the ballers box I.e lobster and prawn and/or improving the mac and cheese, it would take this to a 9 and make this worthwhile.

i should have read the reviews 1st. i was so excited for the lobster tail. but it was awful. everything smells like uncooked spices and chemicals. the lobster tail was very dry and the mac and cheese was disgusting the worst ive ever had. it does not worth £20 and the portion is very small

Absolutely awful. I ordered a Ballers Combo and didn’t even receive the lobster. I called up telling them there was a missing item, they told me they’re closed and they’ll sort it out tomorrow . The mac n cheese tasted awful. The BBQ wings and corn on the cob was not tasty. Plz don’t waste your money.

Food terrible, lobster can we even call it that!! Was like eating rubber but I imagine rubber would have tasted nicer!!! Rice was dryer than a nuns see you next Tuesday. For the price point very disappointing.

I was SO happy to see this halal restaurant still open while it was almost time to close. They took my order, and boy did they not disappoint. The lobster meat (which I was looking forward to the most) was made so exquisitely, there’s no room for improvement anymore in this whole takeaway box.

The quality of the food was so disappointing, cold bland chicken, rubbery lobster, dry waffles. The quality of the food from 2 years to now is crazy. I called them to get refund and they asked me to come in and bring the food if I wanted to get a full refund which I did. For then to turn around and offer me half of the refund. A hot mess don’t even bother ordering from this place.

I ordered a Ballers Mixed Combo meal, I was soo looking forward to it. To say I was disappointed, is an understatement. The food was cold, the pasta in the macaroni cheese was overcooked, the lobster was flavourless and the portion wasn't good. I can do better myself at home.

When did you start putting hot sauce on the cajun chicken? It was drenched in nasty Frank's style hot sauce? Stale waffles with tiny bit of sauce. Quality of this place has massively dropped. Sort it out if you give a sh!!!!!

Never ordering again. The Cajun chicken was disgusting. The chicken was actually black and it looked so old. The mac and cheese has no flavour. The waffles are soggy. If anyone is even thinking the slightest of ordering I would definitely NOT reccomend. The food quality is 1/10.

Ordered food today - the seafood combo, less than pleased! This is the food we received - we were so excited to eat here but after this I'm not ordering from the Birmingham branch again, please sort your quality out. I need to speak to someone about getting a refund 👎🏾

Got delivered on Uber eats. Fantastic meal. Really tasty everthing very well seasoned. Found the crab legs a little hard to eat. I would recommend packing dispoable gloves in the take out bags for convenience. We were at a hotel. Would return 5*

Food quality was poor. The flavours are very bland. The lobster was over cooked and rubbery. The chicken tasted as if it had just a random cheap hot sauce poured on top of it. Waffle tasted cheap aswell. The only thing that was okay was the mac and cheese but even that didn’t taste good. I’d never eat there again. Was recommended by a friend but was very disappointed. I will definitely will be leaving that friendship in the dark after this.

Worst customer service, I would not recommend. The two girls at the till were very rude, no manners at all. Laughing and giggling and doing their own thing whilst I was trying to order. Only focused on their music. Please get rid of these rude people food was nice nevertheless.

Food was delicious, new way of getting a takeaway. They got a complete package, chicken, cake and they gave me some great items as well. You won't ever be disappointed with these guys, consistent.

Called to check if food was picked up by driver from deliveroo and staff repeatedly said the food hadn’t been picked up - causing a panic, the food was delivered, not sure whose food they had waiting. Food didn’t seem so fresh, crab was too fishy. Lobster was good but not cooked to be tasty, was smothered in some artificial tasting sauce. Mac and Cheese was a big oil slick. This is comparing it to seafood cartel, who are miles ahead in freshness and taste

From the first time I had lobster it was very fresh and cooked to perfection however it’s gone downhill, the lobster was over cooked. The Mac n cheese wasn’t cheesy at all, lacked flavour. The prawns were good but didn’t have much sauce on them, order a dip on the side. Corn on cob was good, can’t complain. But Overall I’d give it a 5, the food was a bit cold tbf. Unfortunately it’s not worth the price.

Had a lot of hopes for my seafood slab this evening but was utterly disappointed with the literally rotten crab legs. I guess the crab legs aren't moving as fast as the lobster or salmon but still, no excuses though. The other items like prawns, Mac and cheese and rainbow waffles were great, especially love the sauce. The crab legs just spoiled it for me. Hope the kitchen can do more to upkeep the quality of seafood served to customers.

I have never been so happy in my entire life that I couldn't find a restaurant. Let me explain. After trekking over half of Birmingham trying to find a different restaurant on a recent trip to visit one of my bffs, we decided to go to our backup plan, Trap Kitchen. We got two of the big meals so we could basically sample a bit of everything off the menu, and it was a brilliant idea. The food was so tasty and the portion sizes plentiful. I wish I had gotten photos of the gorgeous, saucy, gloriousness that was our meals, but we dug in before either of us thought of it. By the time we finished eating we were a gorgeous mess of butter, sauce, and joy that comes from sharing a lovely meal with some who enjoys it as much as you. Also, mad shout out to the lovely young lady at the counter who walked through the ordering process with two ridiculously hungry humans who could barely think straight. You are the real hero of this story. I can't wait to go back for another round when I darken Brum's doorstep again.

Food was nice but not two portions worth £40. Dessert was just depressing Oreo waffle which just consisted of waffle just Oreo crumbled on top. Mac and cheese was delicious and so were the prawns

I love Trapkitchen and the amount of times I’ve eaten from this branch, I couldn’t count on my fingers to be honest haha. Recently they’ve been out of stock of crab for a while which is my favourite however they’ve just got crab back in stock but I wouldn’t say the crab was as good as it used to be. I feel like the texture of the meat isn’t as sweet and soft as usual. Found the meat to be almost stringy so was a bit sad. However the mac and cheese is PHENOMENAL and don’t get me started on the prawns and corn! I’ve had the waffles too and they’re lush. The trap juice is very sweet but it’s quite nice so a sip now and then is refreshing :) 9/10!

Food absolutely amazing as always. 2 stars only for the rudeness of the lady at the till. Seems to not really care. Didn't make us feel welcome and we found her really rude. She was also rude to a delivery driver who came to pick up the food. She really let down the whole experience for us. Food however 10/10. Think it's time to emply better staff to be taking orders. As that type of service doesn't make us want to return. Especially since we travelled from Rugby, 53mins!

the food is delicious and hot and the flavours are amazing. my only gripe is they’re so stingy with the sauces on their food. the mac and cheese sauce is incredible but they give so little like they’re scared of running out? same for the chicken. the sauce they coat it in is so nice but it’s just not enough please add more!!!!

You know what I was lying in my hospital bed in the QE hungry after my opperation and trap kitchen came to my rescue. Thank You NHS for healing my body and trap kitchen for healing my soul. Every meal from here is 10 10. Recommend it to anyone. Trap box lobsta and prawns with a side of crab legs.

They have GOT to take whatever that weird sauce is on top of the mac and cheese OFF. It's not even the seasoning but the side itself, idk what it is but it completely overwhelms everything. It's nowhere near mac and cheese. Just take it off its not good.

This place is soo over rated it’s unbelievable. I don’t understand the hype… the food is sooo oily and has a weird sweetness to it it’s so overwhelming (in a bad way). Everything is the same favour and just not it. I tried trap kitchen In Manchester and that was amazing. You could taste the different favours of things but this one in Birmingham nah. I think they need to go over their recipe

Couldn’t be happier with my experience at Trap BRM, I’ve tried all of their branches. This one might be one of my faves. The seafood is amazing! Particularly the lobster. The chicken tender and flavoursome. Staff were very attentive and food was out in no time. Would highly recommend.

Ordered the seafood combo, which consisted of lobster tail, king prawns, Mac and cheese and corn. Everything had flavour except the lobster tail which was abit rubbery and bland. But the rest made up for it. Best corn I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend

I'm not pleased with the food I was delivered today. I am not sure why you take your customers for granted just because its dinner time and no one will chase you for what you just gave. If I am playing £35 on the bilI should be presented with the least thing is QUALITY!! Your BANG BANG SHRIMPS were called that way because they are supposed to be presented with a sauce and a banging taste however I got fried shrimp where I can get in any other shop in a better quality and better price. I ordered the whole thing just because of the bang bang shrimps and I stayed with no dinner because my mood changed and I didn't wanna eat anymore. Being fooled is not smth you want your customer to feel especially when you think you are acting smart. Hi I came into your store on Friday the 19th which was yesterday and purchased 2 lots of crab, sweet corn and prawns. It was 25 pounds I paid for food which had no taste whatsoever. I am very disappointed with what I was supposed to be enjoying..not ending up putting it in the bin.i would like to speak to the manager about this as I wasted money for rubbish food.

Worst Mac and Cheese ever couldn't taste any cheese all I could taste was spice and suger the sweet taste was so over powering. The whole point of Mac and Cheese is you can taste cheese and I doubt there was any in there. I gave one star because the lobster tails were OK.

AVOID!! Mac n Cheese had a sweet flavour to it??? Never tasted something so awful, could not finish it. The chicken was meh, had one piece but again did not finish it. The corn on the cob had a horrid flavour which is indescribable and had a rancid texture. The whole experience made me feel pretty gross after and I did pay the price on the toilet. Not worth the money. At all. It just looks pretty but flavour wise it’s dead. Waited an hour for my meal to be made. Cashier was not wearing a mask & there’s no social distancing put in place. You’re better off going to Dixy or Pepe’s across the road to be honest.

Amazing food! I ordered the lobster and prawn with rice and corn and it was delicious. My wife and I split one box and it served us really well. The rice was spot on! 👌

Wouldn't recommend, did not like the flavour of the mac and cheese at all almost inedible and I think it's overpriced. When my food reached me it was cold and had to heat it up, won't be ordering again from here very very disappointed!

I went in to order food at 6:15 pm and didn't recieve food until 7:10, any time I asked of my food the girl who served me rolled her eyes and told me to come back in 10 minutes as she stood there having a conversation with 5 guys who had come into the store. After all the eye rolls and teeth sucking once I finally got home I got completely the wrong order and was freezing cold. To top everything off I was charged £15 for a meal worth no more than £10. Would never go back again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Terribly over priced food and the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

The quality of the food is very good definitely recommend you try it once. My only issue is why does it cost more in B'ham when its exactly the same menu.

So I left a review before about good customer service which was good ,because owner must have set insentives for them because they get very pushy for you to leave a review with Google review with there names while you waiting to get your food. So all those 5 starts reviews you see are mostly customer service based . There is nothing wrong to ask customer for a review but dont trick them to leave it before they even looked at there food let alone eat. Let's Talk about food now, ordered ballers combo at whooping price tag for 25 pounds. Let me explain what Ballers combo is 1.Rice a small portion, not cooked well( Uncle Ben's pack of rice from superstore is 100 time better so use your imaginations) 2.Three pieces of fried chicken ,very dry. 3.Prawns ,not perfectly cooked (chewy) 4. Mac and cheese , was decent. Called them soon as we tried all items just to inform them ,they said come back and we can give you more food, we refused to take more because why do we want more uncooked rice ,dry chicken and chewy prawns. All in all ,if trap kitchen wants to charge 25 pounds for a takeaway meal ,they should put effort into there meals ,making sure quality is delivered. I paid 75 pounds that day for 3 meals, and hand on heart the worst 75 spent on food in my life.

Worst experience of my life picking up food. Rang up 25 mins before arrival to make sure food was ready when arrived. Got to trap kitchen asked if the food was ready then was told by the 2 rude women behind the counter it was still being made as they laughed about it. 35 mins later the food was ready. Got back to my car thought I better check the food checked all 3 of my orders and they were all wrong. Went back and told them this they wasn't bothered at all. Chef came out didn't care either laughed about it to be honest. By time I got the food it was cold. Will never go back again in my life. Could of understood if they were busy but they wasn't no one was there.

Coronavirus hotspot. Went yesterday and people were boxed inside the restaurant with no social distancing, no air flow, no limit to people inside and some without masks. Should also adopt a phone and collect system as the current one is a bit silly, making people queue to grab a buzzer. Company clearly does not care about its staff or customers dont waste your time going when its busy unless you want coronavirus Hopefully changes its practices would be a shame for it to continue this way and get in legal trouble

This place has some amazing food, I went there not knowing what to expect and there staff told me what to try and not to try if I have any allergies in particular a woman called chantal excellent service would highly recommend the juice that they serve she told me to get it and it was five starsss!!!

The food was delicious—was presented well and better than the pictures on google actually. However, my bf and I drove 40 mins from Stafford and returned home with an incorrect order. We had a total of 3 containers which I checked the first two on top and they were correct so I avoided trying to dig the 3rd one out in the car. The 3rd one should’ve contained a lobster tail but had salmon instead. I’d have loved to give them 5 stars but my bf was extremely disappointed to not have the the lobster tail. Luckily the salmon was well cooked.
