Traditional Chippy in Blackpool

Food was OK. Staff where rude, eatting McDonald's and got order wrong. Had to ask for the correct order and got attitude back.

the people are the rudest ever and there food was shocking bad the staff swearing at us and shouting don’t come here at all they told my old fragile mam to leave

Went this evening ..We had chips curry sauce and chips and gravy . Both good size portions . The gravy was really good and the curry sauce was the best I’ve had at a chippy . Staff really friendly too. The two gents that served us . Thank you

Great food. Really fast service. The chap was so friendly. Here with a friend and his son. Kids meal was free with a drink and instead of passing the drink to an adult he lent over and gave it directly to my friends son which I thought was really cool. Haven't been to Blackpool for ages and this has certainly filled me up with a good proper chippy meal. Thanks guys!

You can’t go to the seaside and not have fish, chips & mushy peas!! Our food was delicious, the perfect portion size to fuel us up again after all the walking!

Awful food ,grandson said worst chicken nuggets ever,grandads fish stale. Bad value for money

Food was really nice went here a few time during my trip but only down side is the portion sizes are really small and the price are rather high but food was tasty and fresh

You simply can’t beat grabbing a chippy from the Traditional Chippy on your way back to the hotel. I ordered a sausage supper and it hit the spot perfectly—so tasty! I often visit here when in Blackpool, and it’s yet to disappoint. The staff are also very chatty and friendly, adding to the great experience. Outstanding!

Been coming here for years, not sure if it’s under new management but was disgusted at the portion size of chips I got for £3.45 and won’t be coming back

Same price to eat in as it is to takeaway, good value for money traditional style chippy. Brilliant mushy peas and portion sizes decent. Really liked the theming and decoration of the seating area too. Quite simply don't understand the negative reviews on here about this place?

Ear in or take away. Bewarned the place is interconnected to arcade aswell. Soo bust busy busy. Had fish and chips 10 quid. Curry sauce buttered roll and curry sauce and was really tasty. Well done to the people behind counter. Great sea side chippy. Fresh food.. sorry my piccy doesn't do food justice. Mixed it all up lol

Would rate it 0 stars if an option for this. We are locals supporting local trade bought tea here last night service was poor, wait was long even though no other customers. Took our 'food' home to find inedible dark brown chips and fish that looked and smelled bad. Tasted disgusting the bit we tried and was put in outside bin. Worst ever had in this country...you are letting a Blackpool tradition down no wonder you don't cook in front of customers these had been reheated several time by the look of them .

Can’t go wrong with fish and chips and curry and a drink for £12.79. Chips were fluffy and fresh, fish was nice and crispy and soft in the middle. Curry sauce was the best I’ve tasted and can’t go wrong with a draught coke. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Decent service, pricing a bit high but it's 2023 so expected. Unfortunately the fish was completely tasteless and devoid of flavour and the chips had clearly been sitting out for a long time. A shame as I was looking forward to trying what a man in the queue called the "best chippy in Blackpool".

This has always been best fish and chips in Blackpool, seeing recent reviews I thought it may have gown downhill but our visit was still good. The fish was beautiful, and I think it was £9 for fish and chips which I don't find bad as I pay that on my area now. Staff on our visit were polite and it still was amazing fish and chips!

Lovely fish and chips and curry sauce, even had pickled onions. Prices ok. Good experience allround... recommend

Well, what can I say about this place. Let’s start with the prices, extortionate. Next we will move on to the food itself, my son had a fish and chips, he enjoyed it. The staff, well, this is where it gets really interesting, a young lad who works there, is absolutely exemplary, you could not find a better member of staff if you tried. A “lady” who was working there tonight however, has to go down as one of the most unsympathetic, unhelpful and downright spiteful people I have ever come across. Bearing in mind we had actually ordered food from this establishment, and my son, was sat eating his dinner. My other 2 sons had food from elsewhere and were sat at the table with my son, I can understand that this could be deemed an issue with many an establishment, after all they aren’t eating food purchased on site. However, every other establishment I have ever done this at, have been hugely understanding as my children are autistic, and this can make situations extremely challenging. This lady, and I use that word in the ironic way possible, not only made a huge scene about my children eating on site, she actually refused any custom when said autistic children wanted a drink of juice, and a clown of a manager actually backed her up on this. The claim of “we treat everyone the same, disability or not” really doesn’t wash in this situation, it’s not a case of “we expect all customers to use the stairs, wheelchair or not”. It’s downright cruel to refuse a disabled child a drink, which we wanted to PURCHASE, because his also disabled brother was eating food he had brought in, absolutely disgusting. I have never know anything like this before, disabled people are to be treated equally yes, but they don’t start at a place of equality, and expecting them to have to adhere to rules that you want to make up on the spot because you have a stick right where the sun doesn’t shine, doesn’t work. The young lad, who I forgot to ask for his name, apologised unreservedly, and explained that he also has autism, can understand where we came from and couldn’t be anymore understanding. I actually feel so so sorry for this lad, he’s watched his manager and another superior not only discriminate against children, he’s watched them discriminate against children who share the same disability, what sort of example is that? This place will not be getting my custom ever again, and I would honestly warn anyone to stay away, especially if you have a child with additional needs as they don’t appear to be wanted there. You can’t blanket rule people, especially with disabilities, you’re an absolute disgrace.

Food was hot, cooked perfectly, slightly small portions for the price in my opinion but hey it is Blackpool so can’t be surprised, it was very tasty so didn’t mind as much about the price, staff were polite and very attentive. I would definitely return

Vilest chips ever tried to digest..never thought i'd be looking up tripadvisor for a portion of chips to see if anyone else had issues..dear or dear..even the seagulls turned their beaks up at them..yuk

Was told we could not buy a kids meal for our 10 year old as he was over the age for kids meals. I have never know anywhere refuse to serve kids meals to anyone let alone kids. They really need to revise the “rules”. Very disappointed. Unsure what the food is like as we left and ate elsewhere.

Can't tell u what food was like as they wouldn't serve us food cos we asked for 2 kids meals and was told Can't sell u them as your kids r over 10 I don't now any food establishment what refuses to sell kid's meals cos they r over 10 but wanted us to pay for 4 adult meals so we told them wear to stick them

While I was on my college trip we took a break to eat some food. We saw the fish and chips advertised outside and decided to become our inner Gordon Ramsay. We ordered fish and chips and trust me i really regret paying £5.75 not because it was expensive which it was for what you get but I am now constipated for life. Fish oh god! It tasted like soggy bread, it was so soggy I thought it was still alive! Now The chips were so bad and dry that I had to drown it in salt to give it some life. I HAVEN'T had my taste buds back since! I went 5 months ago! And finally I just got out of therapy cause my head was just as battered as the chips were!! PLEASE DONT GO YOU WILL BECOME ILL 🤒 May God have mercy on your soul because the fish wont! if you decide to go please see a doctor after and stay safe soldier!

Fish n chips and sausage roll. Fish tasted like gone off oil and was more batter than fish. Staff were very grumpy and miserable. It's a terrible greasy spoon. It's not even cheap.

Quite busy as expected. Alright food for fish and chips. Handled fussy customers that didn't want to comply with COVID-19 guidelines quite well for what was a busy and stressful environment.
