Tony's in West Lothian

Very disappointed tonight with the service from Tony’s, have had excellent service in the past but have seen a decline in recent months.Having waited over an hour for our delivery, we placed a phone call to have an update on the order, the response was curt and nothing short of rude, we were informed that they were busy and they would send it out in the next half hour, it’s Monday night for goodness sake, and the order was for 2 suppers not a gourmet meal, unacceptable to wait almost 2 hours without even an apology, I doubt we will be using Tony’s again, poor show

After waiting over an hour (and cancelling) for a Chinese delivery which hadn't been cooked when i called for an update, we decided to try Tony's for fish suppers.The staff were focused rather than friendly but not unpleasant.Overall, we were happy with our suppers which included other items as well as fish.The only criticism was the food could've been hotter. The sausages in the supper were a little greasy due to them not being hot and to a slightly lesser degree, the chips were similarly spoilt. However, the food was still nice in eating so we were quite happy with our meals. we haven't tried suppers from anywhere else in the area so am unable to compare with any other takeaway's.

Did an online order fir home delivery, contacted them after 60 minutes, told it would be delivered shortly, called again they gave same information. After 90 minutes still no food, so called again and cancelled order, it was then they said the food was just with the driver.

Wrong item delivered, when I called were dismissive, no offer to replace or apologise! Food very dry and rubbery, ended up not eating it. Was a bit of a shame!

Tonys chip shop has been consistently good for almost 50 years. The man was a gentleman and a pillar of the community. Your comment on the food is your opinion but I would disagree that the shop is dirty as it is always spotless. Good man will be sadly missed

I regularly visit here for a treat for me, my husband and my sons they sell a variety of food at great prices and the staff are friendly I especially enjoy the chicken pakora

Tony’s has been around since I don’t know when. Don’t be fulled by Tony’s serious face once you start talking you can raise a smile. Service is very good and he has other things on menu apart from fish and chips. Thumbs up from me.

We occasionally use this shop as it is convenient if you are driving through. All traditional menu and always clean and friendly but can be busy at times. The fish supper is not 5he great value meal it once was but for an occasional treat Tony’s fits the bill and their haggis isc5he best of its type anywhere.

My partner popped in here to order a chippy for each of us, and was ignored for 5 minutes despite him being the only customer there and there being 5 members of staff behind the counter (one of them was watching TV). He was eventually served, however the food was very average.

Italian owned chippy with separate pizza/burger bar. Mum and Dad typical old fashioned Italian. Son is more friendly and talkative. But good is always great. Good portions.
