Tony Macaroni - Aberdeen in Aberdeen City

Unseasoned food, that's all there really is to say. We went for a meal as a family of 4, and we did not receive the kids' menu until we asked for it. Waiting staff were nice. It's the food that lets it down. Food was rather bland, my risotto tested of chicken stock and nothing more. The rest, with the exception of my little ones pasta with tomato sauce, was disappointing.

Says delivered but haven’t received my food

I had a reservation here. When I arrived with my family they were closed due to gas problems. They never informed us about anything. I checked before we departed if I received any update from the restaurant, but they sent nothing. I am deeply disappointed in them.

when I ordered I requested ASAP. I took an hour and a half to be delivered. I shall think twice before I order through just eat again. pizza tasty but ne very hot.

My partner and myself have been to Toni Macaroni's in Aberdeen before and have enjoyed the food. However we went in for a quick lunch this time and the dining area was very cold. (Not sure if there was a fault with the heating). We both chose from the festive menu on offer. My partner ordered a coffee which had a piece of sachet paper at the bottom of the cup. I ordered the turkey with trimmings, which when arrived was very bland. The vegetables seemed like they were from a pack you put in the microwave, with only one potato and the whole thing was submerged in gravy that clearly hadn't even been mixed correctly. My partner's lasagne was all pasta with only the first layer having any meat in it. This is something we also heard other tables complaining about. We mentioned it to the server but we didn't have time to wait for something else to be prepared. It was a shame because we do like Toni Macaroni's.

Lovely 3 course meal from the festive menu! Amazing value, so tasty and portion sizes are incredible. Young male manager was a delight and going above and beyond for our requests ☺️☺️

The food was good i ate it all. Our server tried his hardest, but his hands were tied by lack of stock available. 530pm on a Saturday and off 5 drinks I ordered 2 out of stock (no bottle beers and Frangelico) A third drink was messed up, I asked for special coffee with Southern comfort and was severed one with Grouse whisky 🤮. The dessert was messed up too by the kitchen, we explicitly said no whipped cream, and guess what? Yeah, it was sent back. For a 3 course meal and drink for two, we paid a little over £100. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend. And I work in this industry.

First time visiting today, with my husband and we were both thoroughly impressed! The food and service were amazing. The macaroni and burger we had were cooked perfectly and the onion rings are the best we've ever tasted, anywhere!

Do not recommend any desserts. Do not recommend any soups. Lacklustre pasta but you get what you pay for. Money better spent at a local restaurant.

I recently dined at your Italian restaurant and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with the manager. Firstly, I ordered spaghetti bolognese with chicken, but was served penne pasta with chicken instead. The manager failed to clearly explain the substitution, leading to confusion. What was even more disheartening was the manager's rude and judgmental behavior. I felt unfairly treated when he assumed my food preferences based on my nationality, making stereotypical assumptions about my taste palate. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also reflects poorly on the restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction and inclusivity. I believe it's essential for your management team to address these concerns promptly to ensure that all patrons are treated with respect and receive the correct information about their orders. I hope you take this feedback seriously in order to improve the overall dining experience at your establishment.

Great restaurant with friendly staff and nice ambience. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. The cocktails are outstanding!

Very average, nothing special. I’m sure everyone can make better dishes at home. The prawns I got were hard as rock… I think pizza was the best from everything we ordered

Amazing food and lovely staff. Unfortunately VERY noisy despite the restaurant being less than half full. The music was incredibly loud and it felt like being on a nightclub.

I recently went with my family and friends for lunch to celebrate my graduation. The food was exceptional, and the customer service was amazing! We loved that the manager took the time to have conversations and laughs with us, always making sure that everything was up to standard. The prices are very affordable too. We had a lovely time. The aglio olio pasta is tasty, the burgers are poor (chicken, cheese, tomato, lettuce leaf), but also tasty and served with fries. Affordable prices, very polite waiter, atmospheric place. I recommend.

Service was good. Starter was delicious; we had the antipasti caldi, with ribs that fell off the bone. The main was okay. We had pasta con verdure verde and a burger. The pasta dish was mainly pasta, not enough veggies.

We came here for a quiet lunch for two. Exceeded our expectations. Our server (a lady who we didn’t get the name of) was so lovely and attentive, we can’t thank her enough. We were made to feel so welcome with quick service and many smiles. The food was 10/10 and also came quickly and was super fresh. Amazing experience! Thanks!

We had a table of 7 for a birthday party. The service was efficient and very good and they sang "Happy Birthday" . There was plenty of variety in our main order, sweet and drinks with no complaints.

Please contact me about this as I never received the food and I will need a refund. Contacted restraint and confirmed order was picked up and just never dropped off!!!

We went there as it was recommended by a friend. The food was okay but the staff made us feel uncomfortable as they seemed ready to close when we arrived at 8 pm. We felt rushed and nobody smiled or seemed to be in a good mood so the atmosphere was like at a funeral. I know hospitality is hard work, but a smile can go a long way. Probably won’t go here again .

Went in past yesterday with family. Most of the food was OK, I had lasagne which was piping hot but was stoggy and tasteless. We were in a separate dining area which was chilly. And the card payment system was down ...

Ordered a margharita pizza with added mushrooms, and got given a pizza with bbq chicken, red onions and chillis - great job.

It’s quite a great italian restaurant. A variety of different dishes.

Been here a few times and my partner and I have always had a decent time. The food is lovely especially for a chain restaurant and the portions are of a very decent size, and are always tasty. The menu is large but I feel that doesn't dilute the quality and value for money wise it's a definite recommendation. Already been a few times and will continue to go everytime I go to Aberdeen. An absolute treat!

Order never turned up, instead the melt of a delivery driver went to the street behind and clearly can’t read addresses. Unfortunately I can’t comment on the food to no fault of the restaurant

Food was good. Huge bowl of mussels went down a treat. Full rack of ribs was a little light on ribs. Only 8 for £20 was a bit disappointing. Think butchers call that a cheat rack. Service not bad. Had to go and get my wife a drink from the bar though as they took a bit too long hence the 3 stars.

Went here for dinner with my wife and my mum the food was excellent. No one had any complaints. Servers, was fast and helpful The only one thing I would say is negative is The mustard chairs we sat in my mum‘s was falling apart the armrest fell off and overall we weren’t very comfortable.

I had lunch with my family today and it was definitely the worst pasta I had eaten in my entire life, my partner ordered the lasagna and it was tasteless, most definitely the worst restaurant I ever been

The order was missing some garlic chips and the order is warm at best. Huge disappointment on the half portion of chips we did get. And the portion size compared to what you get in the restaurant is like a kids meal. This needs improvement or prices reduced to reflect it

Worst Spaghetti Bolognese, I have ever tasted. Bland AF and not worth the money. Disgusting food. Will never order from here again, nor would I eat in the restaurant. Poor show for Italian food. Abysmal.

Food took two and a half hours to arrive, it was stone cold and some items were incorrect. Abysmal.

Service was quick but the burgers werent very hot and the chips were disgusting! Definitely nothing like Largs restaurant!

Not authentic Italian it is a big open cafe with booths a bit like American burger joint. The menu looks good but no chef as such plenty staff knocking out frozen heated meals. I asked for cream of asparagus and lemon sauce over well done salmon and got undercooked salmon. Asparagus on side and cream sauce with a quarter lemon plopped in centre. Loud, not atmospheric at all. An awful experience. I won't be back. Manager attempts to talk loud at me to embarras but he didn't get the reaction he was hoping for from me. I won't be back and urge you to take well earned money elsewhere for a better experience than an open cafe loud venue with rushed feel and left disappointed

The place was virtually empty, maybe only a couple of other tables occupied. It was a Monday, half 5ish. We were seated and served very quickly. The food was ok, nothing special. We both had pizzas. I had a tiramisu for pudding and it didn't really resemble tiramisu. It was extremely sweet, very little coffee flavour and served in a teacup. My dining partner had a sundae and it was huge. He couldn't finish it but enjoyed it. The bill came to £53 with 2 cokes and tea.

A really nice restaurant, spacious, with pleasing decor. I attended with friends on a very wet Sunday evening. It was not very busy at this time, although a few more people arrived during my time there. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was served promptly. They have a wide selection of food, two menus, one being a set one with good value prices for, one, two or three courses. The range of drinks is good plenty of beers, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks. I started off with coated, chicken strips with a garlic mayo, followed by chicken pasta bake. Both dishes were delicious and filling. My friends were equally satisfied with their choices. I had a very pleasant evening and will be dining here again.

The pizzas were really too salty, so won't be ordering pizzas again. Was quite disappointed with the meal.

Really great food, service was ok, people were nice but had the inability to split the bill and apparently could only take one type of transaction so a table of 6 could only all pay cash or someone had to pay it all. Had a large party and was split into 1 table and the 4/5 booths, not the best for communicating with each other.

Really really poor. Food was meh and no ability to split bill with a party of 6. Response to the restaurants response: So our table was a party of 6. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Every other place in Aberdeen can do this. Poor excuse. Do better.

one word. delish! the food was so flavourful and was delivered to table very quickly after placing our food order. got chatting to a waitress as we are both from glasgow and she couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. lovely experience and id love to visit again next time i travel to aberdeen.

Food was much better than in the East Kilbride restaurant My partner started with the minestrone soup followed by the ribs, I had the macaroni cheese and we both had the same dessert which with both said would be better with Ice cream, the down side of the Aberdeen restaurant was that it was very hot inside and noisy but it is always good to see a busy restaurant

Manager of the place is a bit of a d#@head, he just made us wait for the sake of it, with half empty place But food great and rest of service was excellent.

Macaroni was greasy did not have enough sauce.

Unseasoned, bland tasting pasta and pizza. We ordered toni macaroni pasta and pizza contadina. Also ordered Calamari fritters. calamari - it was served quickly, and appeared to be freshly made. However it was very greasy, the calamari was rubbery and super bland! I don't think they added any amount of salt to the batter. Toni macaroni pasta - again tasted very plain. It was creamy but lacked salt. Added a lot of salt and it tasted slightly better. Pizza contadina - Such a let down. Although thin crust, didn't taste good The tomato sauce was very salty and hardly 10 small pieces of sausage sprinkled over the pizza. Not worth the price. All in all it was a big disappointment!

Could not cancel as it was changed at on the way even though for more than 1 h the arrival time kept adding on and the position of the driver was at the restaurant. Shameful!

Absolutely delicious meal and excellent service!

Looks nice. Nice inside. Friendly staff. Clean. Altho got a bone in my food and basically got fobbed off by saying its just on of these things. Food was hot. We had burgers the roll was dry the patties didn't fit on the roll as they were that small. Got spicy coleslaw as a side on the plate. It was like a table spoon of coleslaw with red sauce on top not even mixed for £1.25 extra.👎

The menu is huge! A really large selection, which can be a bit overwhelming. The portions are also large, which is nice to see in a restaurant. With the offer to take the food away, I can imagine that there is a lot of pizza boxes given away. The pizza was a bit greasy, and the risotto had an odd flavour, which my partner wouldn’t recommend. Is there a way that the music can be Italian, or align better with the theme of the restaurant? Overall we left feeling that the experience was pretty average. But thank you for the experience, none the less.

Very strong tomato. Lasagne was bland and more tomato sauce than anything else. Garlic bread was chewy and oily. Very expensive for all it was.

One of pastas received were wrong, not what I ordered, when contacted restaurant they were not help at all, blamed driver for mistake and didn't offer any solution or alternative, complain filed and i want compensation from restaurant.

We were visiting our home town and decided to go to restaurants we used to Eat at was so disappointed My husband's meal arrived was told mine was to follow waited ages never arrived and when it did wasn't properly cooked sorry chefs you get a zero serving team top s for how they handle the situation they took meal off bill and also gave me a lovely knickerbocker free Id like to thank them very much I wish I took note of their names

We really enjoyed our visit on Tuesday for a birthday celebration. The staff were excellent and so was the food and we look forward to visiting again soon.

I honestly do not know what to say other than absolutely atrocious. Our starters were cold and extremely bland. The prawns were stone cold inside. Our mains were just as bad. The cheese sauce was clumpy and tasted like out of date nacho cheese, I left most of the meal simply because the smell of the “cheese sauce” nearly made myself and partner sick. The chicken was chewy and no flavour. The side dish of creamy peas and bacon was swimming in oil. The price we paid was not on par for what we received. We had high hopes for this place but have been left completely disappointed, will not be returning.

First visit to this restaurant. It was packed but because of the well laid out seating and privacy of the booths it did t feel like it. Great service and great food on offer. No more or less expensive than other restaurants and the people I was with who had been there several times before have never had a complaint about the food or service and I can’t really fault them on anything either. I will return.

Came for lunch with family, we ordered our food and then patiently waited 35 minutes for our starters to arrive! It wasn’t overly busy at the time either Starters were fried calamari, mozzarella sticks & a chicken salad - they were tasty but the chicken salad for £10 was pretty small. Mains again took at least another 20 minutes to arrive. The toto pizza which had the tiniest amount of pepperoni and sausage on it. It was a large pizza but lacked toppings. Chicken risotto was pretty bland and not creamy like it should be. The chicken thighs we requested with no chilli yet they came with chilli and were charred within an inch of their life. There was no sauce with them so we asked for some dips. Garlic Mayo wasnt nice at all and tasted like a cheap garlic runny sauce, although the sweet chilli sauce and the pesto was good. Desserts arrived - sticky toffee pudding was dry, the tuttamella which is a traditional apple in Dili pastry dish was quite nice, but the cheesecake that came was not cheesecake at all. It tasted like a blamange and was so sickly, not to mention it was covered in strawberry ice cream sauce you give kids to put in their ice cream. Bill came and they added on an ‘optional’ service charge which we asked for them to remove. £130 and almost 3 hours later, we had finished lunch and all 4 of us agreed we would never return
