I have been visiting TODs, ostensibly for a boozy lunch, for years and it has always been friendly, relatively efficient in terms of service with decent if not ‘good’ food. However, my most recent visits have resulted in a feeling of ‘time to go somewhere else’. Serving staff are now a conveyor belt of different faces and, not surprisingly, a case of little experience of not only the venue and its specific systems but hospitality in general. The menu consists of an odd mix of Burgers, Fish and Chips and ‘small plates’ (a trend that began to fade away in 2016). The burgers are clearly pre-cooked (a relatively new situation): the fish and chips are acceptable but the ‘small plates’ are essentially fried and ‘heavy’ items. A decent charcuterie and cheese board would be a massive improvement. Despite its situation the booze prices are not extortionate - neither, on the face of it, are the food prices. However, once the lack of training/experience of staff and the less than good quality of the food is considered, I have to conclude there are a large number of better places (at the price) in the area for lunch or a drink and a snack. I truly hope it can raise its game - it needs to.

Went to Todds for a team lunch (downstairs under Jamaica Inn), charming place, served by Lucia who was efficient and served us with a smile, which means a lot - nothing worse than grumpy staff serving you - we had a variety of tapas as starters between four of us at £6, four main courses with sides orders, drinks and coffees after for £40 a head including 10% tip added. Slight misunderstanding when ordering the wine, immediately corrected by Lucia with no fuss or bother - thanks for the great service.

Found this place in an alleyway by a Church. Friendly and attentive staff, good selection, and reasonable prices.

Unfortunately we went again. Poor shisha and service. Older Arab man who cannot make shosha. Tasted burnt and could only taste coal. Avoid.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The service we received was utterly shocking. The assistant rudely marched my party and I off a free table - despite it being empty. We asked for a takeaway, and we were told the wait wouldn’t be worth it - this was from a member of staff?! They clearly don’t care about making any money, and their products are sub-par. You’re better off heading to Pret to avoid their horrendous service.

Caja de almuerzo muy saludable y abundante. Me tomó mucho tiempo terminar en realidad. . Servicio agradable, no demasiado pretencioso, relajado. ¡recomendado!

I had a really nice time at this restaurant, it was my last day before heading back to the states. I wanted to do an Italian food. The food was really good and the wine as well. The staff was really nice too!!
