Toby's Baguettes in Watford

There's a lack of nice sandwich shops close to us so with this opening we thought our luck was in! Looks a lovely clean place and staff friendly but our order of three sandwiches seemed to throw them despite a empty shop the order was incorrect and items not available. I hope they sort the issues soon and I may retry

Toby's Baguette's big selling point is that they sell the only 16 inch baguette in Watford. And it is a monster baguette. I actually thought it might be a bit Too much unless I was very hungry. So one lunchtime I went down, very hungry... and wished it could have been a 24 inch baguette! It was that good. They have a nice selection of standard toppings, but I really like that you can ask for your own choice of toppings. Want more cheese, tomato or chicken on it? No problem. You would like tuna instead? Done. I've been down there several times now, getting a different baguette topping each time, and though I'm developing a few favourites, all are very good in my opinion. All their ingredients taste fresh and high quality, and that extends across their whole range of food, from their pastries to their sandwiches. It's not quite the cheapest bakery in town, but it is, I think, the best Value food you can get for your money. Oh, and I just found out yesterday that they deliver food to local businesses at lunchtime! I'll definitely be recommending this bakery to my co-workers and friends.

This restaurant is known for baguettes but I preferred to try their hot dog. My selection turned out to be a good one. It was prepared using a fresh roll which had stuffing of grilled chicken and bacon. Delicious it was. Must try!
