Tito's in Southwark

The drinks are small, full of ice and expansive. You are not even in central london! I've been twice but never again. At least you should offer on the table some peanuts, olives and chips cmon. Plus the place looks so poor. 👎🏻

I hate to bad review a small business, but this place was so poor. We waited ages for a waiter to come over as there were huge parties going on and we were getting ignored. Finally we managed to get someone's attention. We ordered the drinks. 10 minutes went by and we asked where they were. Waiters replied just coming. 20 minutes. 30 minutes. At 35 minutes they finally arrived and we complained at how ridiculous this was. The waiter said she'd let someone know. She didnt. The water we ordered hadnt even arrived, so we had to ask for this again 3 more times. When the bill came out we refused to pay the service charge and expected even a little something off the bill. The waiter wasnt interested and didnt want to know. Wont be back.

I have to say the service was exceptional from all the waiting staff that served us and was impressed with how attentive they were. That’s the positives.The food was presented well but absolutely tasteless. I have never eaten Peruvian food before and somehow was expecting really flavoursome dishes but I actually couldn't describe the flavours as there wasn't any apart from the dessert my husband had which was the traditional rice pudding. The surroundings are pleasant apart from the toilets. They are filthy and would expect to see that especially during these times. Just one more thing which is just my personal opinion. It would have been nice to have music from peru just to create the atmosphere. It wasn't the worst place but wouldn't go again.

My husband and I booked a table outside to celebrate ours anniversary. When we arrived the staff at the door was having an argument between them, and we had to wait around 15 min waiting them to finish the ‘fight’ and give us attention. The waiter give us a table, running out, without giving us the menus. After 20 minutes, we called another waiter and asked for it. As soon as they brought the menus we order the drinks and starters. Starters are tiny and very expensive. After that we just ask for the bill and went to another place to try to save our day! i could keep writing the countless mistakes, but I’m stopping here.We will never return to That place again. I do not recommend !!!

In all my years living in London I have never had a worst experience in a restaurant. Waited 55 minutes before our first drink arrived. Asked about three different waiters making the same order - and still nothing. No idea what the staff are doing - and food portions when they arrive are tiny. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Food is average and I’m afraid extremely overpriced. I paid as much, if not more than I would in a fancy restaurant in Soho. The service was great, and the drinks spot on, just so expensive for really average food.

This is a meat place don't expect much if anything substantial veggie wise, there are a few meat free side dishes . Fabulous cocktails and the ceviche of raw cod marinated in fresh lemon and lime juice red onions and coriander is a fresh as it gets served with plantain chips and tiny pieces of fried corn from the cob which was very moorish. Great for dropping in after work for drinks and nibbles and equally generous portions if you decide to stay for a meal.

Horrible experience. We booked two tables a week in advance. When we arrived, they had no free tables. We had to wait on the street for 50 minutes until they gave us a single table where they sat us all crammed together (when we had booked two tables). We ordered our food and drinks and after several minutes they brought out three of the starters we had ordered. We ate the starters without a drink. After one hour and asking up to four times where our drinks were we decided to get up and leave without haven't had dinner or drinks. They barely apologized. Titos ruined what it was supposed to be a special evening we had organized well in advance. We will never go back and do not recommend anyone to go to this place, they treat you badly. Lousy organization and zero professionalism.

Went here for dinner with a friend and had a great meal. The cocktails were great, and the food is fantastic. Really impressed with this local gem. Toilets could certainly be improved but other that we had a really great dinner. I will definitely be coming back here.

Titos is family-owned and operated and a Peruvian institution in London. Their food is authentic and their pollo a la braza is the best you will find anywhere. Good portion size. Awesome terrace. Maria and Fernando are the best hosts. Coming back next weekend for piscos. Highly recommended!

Went for dinner last night (8:30 booking) it was very busy, especially for the current situation. Staff were rushed off their feet, but working hard and giving amazing service.We had the sharing platter and some plantain. Everything was really well cooked and tasty. Definitely recommend asking for some sauces too.Drinks were great, cocktails were well made, and wine was lovely.First time visit and definitely will come back, especially want to try a dessert next time when I’m not full to bursting.

Muy caro, porciones muy pequeñas para un hombre y el sabor era tan normal. Pedí solo un plato principal 22: 50 - El bistec era un trozo muy fino con pequeñas porciones de patatas fritas y ensalada. No valía la pena por 22. 50 en absoluto. ¡Terrible experiencia y nunca volveré a visitar!

Después de vivir más de 8 meses en el Reino Unido, finalmente tuve la oportunidad de volver a comer mi comida peruana. La comida en TITOS estaba deliciosa, me hizo sentir como en casa. Solo faltaban los plátanos en mi chaufa (que era parte del menú) y una porción más grande de comida (por el precio). Sin embargo, el sabor de la comida era perfecto y el personal muy amable (5 estrellas para ellos). A mi novio, que no es peruano, ¡le encantó! ¡Muy recomendable!

Food is good , place is a good and clean, service (by Carlos) is great. Carlos does good job with costumer service, yet the problem(s) are that the plates are way overpriced for the porcion they serve us. Today for Perú's Independence day I went to the restaurant to have a good time with my boyfriend and enjoy peruvian food, turns out we only ended up buying 2 drinks and one plate to share for us both because it was so expensive !! The plate alone without the drinks was £22.50. I wouldn't mind paying that price for a plate , but at least give a good porcion ! I have a picture I took of the plate so you guys can see and tell me it's crazy how this plate costs £22.50. For the amount they served , I would pay maximum 15 pounds. My boyfriend and I would like to go back more times to eat peruvian food but we can not afford these expensive priced small portioned plates. If you're going to charge a lot , at least serve a good amount portion. Or lower the price and serve the way you do now. This is a great way for costumers not to come back. It's a bummer because we really love Peruvian food. And especially now with the virus and everyone not working or on furlough leave, it's very dificil for us to afford to come here when we are all in economical crisis.

We went for my mums birthday and the experience was nothing short of perfect.It was slightly busy and so some of the drinks took long to arrive but it’s understandable as this was their grand reopening weekend.The place is absolutely beautiful and modern.The food was the real star of the show especially the calamari.The food was absolutely delicious ,not a single bad plate of food was sent to our table and we ordered a lot.The drinks were also amazing especially the mango mojito which I had.The owner was around and she was so lovely and accommodating we even gave her a piece of our birthday cake.Overall an amazing experience.It could be improved by lowering the music slightly since I did feel we had to shout and maybe more of a system (did have to ask for drinks more than once)But these things are just minimal and totally understandable since they were so busy.I cannot wait to go back ,definitely a must try,they’re prices may seem a little pricey to some (not me)but they are 100% worth it.

Always come here for family celebrations and it never fails to amaze me ( and my family), I highly recommend this restaurant!

We went to Tito's for lunch and enjoyed it very much. The aguadito and lomo saltado de pollo were very tasty. We are Peruvian and recommend this place. The best dish for us is the Lomo saltado (beef stir fried) and the ceviche is very nice too. Nice atmosphere and great customer service.

As a Peruvian I know what good Peruvian food is and This was not it. You can find way better and cheaper options in London. Do a little of research and don’t go to Tito’s.Also, they close when they want. You can make a reservation and then go to the place and it’s closed (the new place in stockwell). So, if you really want to try this place, call right before you are going because they might close when they want and leave you with an empty stomach and a bad experience.I recommend going to Tierra Peru or Pisqu instead of this place. The food and service is way better.

3 of us went to Tito’s today for lunch , the food was amazing especially the ceviche and the lucuma ice cream . Carlos the manager is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. My first time there and will definitely return.

Food was fresh and well prepared. Cod ceviche was nice and acidity well balanced. The signature duck leg was superb! Pollo a la brassa (which was not on the menu, but available) was very plain, not at all marinated as it should be. Overall, stick to signature dishes on the menu and you'll be fine.

I went to Tito few times with different groups of friends because I Love it! Food is great, amazing flavours, beautiful colours and very tasty. You will find many of the real Peruvian traditional cuisine and their staff are very friendly, very welcoming and always helpful to make sure you are well looked after. I recommend to anyone who wants to travel to Peru for an evening.

They have moved to 273A Clapham Road!! Nearest underground station is Stockwell (northern line)We went to the previous location (London Bridge station) by accident, thinking they still there and found Cuzco Tito’s sister, it was closed (Sunday evening) But didn’t stop us and went to their fairly new premises(lovely building) Tito’s is one of my favourite Peruvian Restaurants not only for the delicious food but also for the lovely atmosphere you sense there. It is worth for us (Peruvian friends) to travel all the way from Cambridge just to have the closest to authentic Peruvian food in London!The same chef Mateo (un maestro) for many years at Tito’s guarantees the exquisite flavours!The hospitality we always have from Carlos and LuisMi are exceptional!Thank you for making our evening so special every time we visit you!Congratulations on your new premises!Pam x

Visited with colleagues a couple of weeks ago one of whom is Peruvian. I've just discovered Peruvian food and was looking to coming here, it didn't disappoint!

Is it authentic? No idea as have no previous experience of Peruvian food. Was it tasty? Yes Was it good value? Yes Was it a fun place to be? That too. We left satisfied with our meal out in Stockwell.

Tito's is a wonderful hidden gem close to stockwell tube. Food is delicious and very authentic. The food is slightly less refined than the likes of Cerviche in Soho but you will have an authentic peruvian experience here!

Three of us went here for lunch recently. The food tastes authentically Peruvian and was absolutely delicious. We got just a variety of starters and a large Ceviche to share, and everything was beautiful... though you can't beat the classic ceviche. Chicharron was also unbelievable. Got a big jug of pisco sour which was perfect ( and included jappa!) and then Alfajores con helado lucuma for dessert. Soooo tasty. If you get a chance then do it!

Have been coming for years to Titos but today was there for the first time in their new Stockwell restaurant. The food and cocktails were as always absolutely delicious. I had the beef heart skewer and the Lomo Saltado with the beef. My friends from Germany had the Ceviche and also the Lomo Saltado. Everybody was super happy with the service and their food. A highlight is always the home made chili sauce to dip in your meat. We love it at Titos and will be back for sure!

I had several fantastic visits to Titos in the old location at London Bridge and recently paid a visit to the new location at Stockwell. I am glad to say the charm and atmosphere remains despite the change in location. This is a very welcoming, family style authentic peruvian restaurant with great home style favourites like anticuchos, ceviche and lomo saltado. The food always tastes great and portions are generous. There is no pretentious atmoshere just warm, friendly good service and great food. I will continue to visit as my favoured peruvian restaurant in London!

Felt as if I was back home where I was born ! Have not been back to Peru since 1972 and since my mother died in 2012 I have not tasted the genuine article. Food was DELICIOUS! As soon as the fork with Camarones Piquantes hit my mouth I was transported back to Peru! Decor is modern and situation a bit tucked away but food is fabulous!

Notwithstanding it’s rather prosaic Stockwell location Tito’s remains my favourite Peruvian restaurant in London. Recommended dishes are ceviche, lomo saltado and cazuela nortena de mariscos , all served in authentic style . Always good and friendly service especially from the inimitable Carlos !

My lovely boys chose this beautiful restaurant to celebrate my Birthday. We visited earlier in the day on a Saturday, when the restaurant was quiet, which was great to catch up & also made the occasion even more personal. This restaurant also permitted Guide Dogs. Having visited Peru a few years ago, it was interesting to sample some more Peruvian foods. Food was lovely, selection was good, although portions are quite small, bit like Tapa's. So if you've a very healthy appetite, you'l need to order several dishes. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. The Amazing Art Work on display was fantastic. Would certainly visit again.

Stopped here for dinner after seeing it on the way to the station. Modern decor. Clean. Airy. Focus on Peruvian dishes. Service was friendly and good. Food looked good and tasted good too.

We went for a night out and a friend of mine got robbed by staff while putting his bag in the paid cloakroom. Staff denies and tells him to go to the police. Absolutely uninterested and not rude. Do not trust them with your property. They have no cameras in the cloakroom!

On the good side, I must say that the staff was very friendly and attentive, but the food was horrible, I am not an expert on Peruvian food, but none of the dishes tasted as the should.

We just went to Cuzco (formerly Titos) in London Bridge tonight. Manager Luis and staff Melanie and Carla were really flexible, patient and professional. Food was amazing and fresh. Drinks and cocktails were good too.

Really nice restaurant near London Bridge, a bit hidden. Unfortunately, the atmosphere and decoration is bland at the moment... but the food is great, and the staff super friendly. I had 'Aji a la Gallina' for main course. I'm no Peruvian expert, but I thought it was delicious!

My husband and I, we visit Tito's Peruvian Restaurant every single time we have the opportunity. We tried most of the restaurant in London, but Tito's is by far our favourite choice. The food and the customer service are absolutely brilliant. I had a huge opportunity to meet Jessica and other members of the staff who are very thoughtful, kind and very knowledgeable. A big thank you to Karla, Jessica and the chef, who do their utmost to meet our expectations everytime we go there and I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

I’ve been visited Tito’s in Stockwell recently. Well I must admit that food was nice but in my opinion just a liitle bit too expensive. The service...well a long way to improve their service. We’ve been waiting almost an hour to see someone to come to us and when has someone finally came we’ve been asked to go to the bar and order a drinks because there was a kind of party and waiter said they were too busy...guests from table next to us almost forced a waiter to take an order from them...they were more lucky as they spoke spanish. I’ll skip the moment of ordering because probably I know more english words than a waiter so it wasn’t easy him to understand what we wanted. We’ve been visited Tito’s at Clapham Road in Stockwell. Food ok, prices not really ok comparing to the contents of the plate, service - horrible. They just don’t care about their guests, they don’t speak english, they make you wait to be served and to get your order for long long time. Even though the food is good, I'm not going there again. It looks like you don’t speak spanish you are not welcome. Sad.

Tito’s Peruvian Restaurant has a new location: 273A Clapham Rd, London SW9 9BQ. It’s a couple of blocks away from Stockwell Underground Station. Comfortable place (ex La Posada de María) and good food. Will definitely come back!

I passed Titos literally every day for years but never found the time to check it out, despite being curious about Peruvian food, which is still relatively understated in the UK.

I have been going to Titos for many years and I must say that the main reason I return is because of the excellent welcome and service that I get from the headwaiter I think his name is Carlos.

I live in Peru and love Peruvian food and have eaten in many restaurants throughout the country.. While visiting London we happened upon Tito's and I was looking forward to my meal. A big disappointment, my food was lukewarm and although I'd been asked if I wanted it spicy and said yes, it was bland.

Nos pareció que la comida en Tito's para ser una representación perfecta de peruana comidas. Si quieres experimentar gran comida peruana y de beber, me enormemente Tito's.

Tuvimos una comida aquí con un amigo que era realmente bonito. Tuve el ceviche seguido de un plato de cordero. En retrospectiva, el ceviche era increíble y el cordero era tan normal, ojalá hubiera tenido una enorme ceviche (el tamaño de las porciones son muy generosas, incluso para arranque) en vez del cordero. Pero, dicho esto, no cabe duda de que volvería y recuerde pedir lo que son buenas.

Me and my family been there for Mothers day. The service was really good. The manager Carlos did take good care of us! we had two big platter to share and try a bit of everything. I loved the cevice and the salmon but all the food was very very good and we will definitely going back.
