Tinos in Preston

Lovely service and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Great portion sizes. Food packed with flavour, only niggle is the iceberg lettuce (rocket & water cress shoots would have tipped this to a 5*) and no aioli with the corvette flowers, but lovely flavours running through all dishes.

We booked in here for a pre celebration of a double Graduation for my daughter and her friend for 10 adults and a baby.. The Restaurant from outside does zero justice to what’s waiting inside the place is clean and nicely decorated and the welcome we got from the staff was warm and inviting we had run a little late so this was a relief. Once everyone was seated J.C. was regularly topping up drinks and helping with queries about different items on the menu whilst we made our selections we chose from 2 courses for £18.95 mainly I’m not sure of the wait for the food so it couldn’t have been long and the starters were delivered to the table all good portions and well received I had the soup which had lots of thickly cut vegetables in it and was really tasty Once the dishes has been removed our main arrived and again all the meals were tasty and delicious I can’t give this place a more glowing review if your looking for a place to go with outstanding customer service and beautiful food look no further

Fabulous like always. The food was fantastic and the service was brilliant. I literally couldn’t fault anything. Me and my friends had a lovely time. If you want a great meal with a lovely atmosphere look no further. I would highly recommend.

I have been here before on a visit to Preston,i didnt have a reservation but i took my chance and luckily it wasnt too busy,its always friendly,i had the vegetable soup to start,was delicious,and the lasagne for main,a very nice dish washed down with a peroni,excellent food excellent staff very nice atmospere,i would certainly recommend you visit Tinos if your looking for good Italian food in Preston.

Had my 50th birthday party here! Lynne and staff was amazing 🤩 food was delicious! And plenty to go around! Even boxed some left overs for us! Since my party last week my family has also booked to have a family funeral there! (Sad it will be) but looking forward to the delicious food! X

Had my 50th birthday party 7/4/2023, from the day I booked to the end of my night Lynne was absolutely amazing, couldn’t do enough for me and my guest, catered for vegan, gluten free and vegetarian. Food so Devine and plenty to go around and more. Bar staff were also fantastic, never had to queue and service with a smile. Would defo recommend Tino’s to anyone wanting a fantastic night/day. Can’t wait now to turn 60 to have another party there 🤣🤣🤣 .

Our absolute go-to for Italian food in Preston. Never had a bad meal in here the whole time we’ve been coming. Always the most incredible food and service with friendly staff. We always get the Tortellini alla Crema and the Pizza Calda and ask them to do half and half on each plate. Nothing is ever a problem and everything tastes fresh. We also got the white chocolate profiteroles afterwards which were delicious. 11/10 Would recommend this place to anybody.

Booked Tino’s for my birthday meal it certainly did not disappoint. Gorgeous meal with a lovely bottle of Chianti to compliment. Service and ambience was amazing. Definitely will return

Family visit on a quiet Thursday night. Really extensive menu and very family friendly Italian restaurant. Owners family visited, which I think is a good sign. The food was delicious and was served quickly by friendly staff.

This review is well overdue. Well this is a place me and my family have been going for more than 10 years. The flavour, portion size, price and the staff are amazing. Knowledgeable staff with experience and the best suggestions. The kitchen staff are accommodating and the food comes out with passion. Too many things in the menu to suggest but the steak and chicken dishes are very good. The usual pasta and pizza is great as expected for an Italian, some others struggle to get the basics right! 10/10 family business

Was lovely, amazing staff great food couldn’t fault it!! Me n my friends came in last minute for a meal out I had the stuffed mushrooms n the carbonara me n my mate wanted to do half n half n it was no issue. They catered to every need honestly had a lovely night would deffo recommend n will be coming back!!

Stopped of at Tinos as it was quite near the station. Greeted by friendly staff. The comfortable restaurant was clean and tidy and the food was very good. Pizzas were excellent. Would certainly visit again.

Never had a bad meal at Tinos and this was no exception. The lady who greeted us was very pleasant. I started with the pork ribs in BBQ sauce, absolutely perfect, whilst my girlfriend had the mushrooms. For main I had penne arribbiata, very spicy whilst she had the lasagna. A very relaxed atmosphere, great food at a good price what more do you need, highly recommend

Usual excellent food and superb social distancing. Not a surprise they had a good turnout tonight. A family run restaurant who are lovely people and nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We were given a voucher for Tinos as a Christmas present then due to lockdown have not used. When I contacted them they assured me I could use for the takeaway service. WOW not disappointed, it was Fabulous. Restaurant quality food, delivered, fresh and on time, from a lovely young man. Would definitely recommend and order again. Came to Tinos on 29th Feb with my husband and two children to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. We had searched for a restaurant locally that stated they catered for gluten and lactose free diets as my youngest daughter has severe intolerances. Lynne had text me earlier in the week to confirm this was catered for at Tinos and took my booking.The restaurant is modern, airy and bright, well decorated and all of the staff are so polite and helpful.We enquired about whether a gluten and dairy-free garlic bread could be made for the starter and it was available!! It tasted delicious and my daughter was over the moon.I had bruchetta starter which was lovely and fresh and my husband sn aubergine starter off the specials menu. All of us enjoyed this.My daughter then had a gluten and dairy free pasta dish which she said was the best food she'd eaten since her intolerances developed!My eldest daughter loved her chicken and sweetcorn pizza, I enjoyed the carbonara and my husband hasnt ever had such a beautifully cooked fillet steak before.The bill was exactly on par with what you'd expect for a quality meal plus we left a well-deserved tip.We will definitely be back and thank you Tinos for an excellent night.

I live around 5 minutes walk from Tino’s and had never actually visited in almost 3 years I’ve been here. Last night me and a friend decided to go for a meal there as we fancied Italian and it’s one of the nicest pasta dishes I’ve had! As a pescatarian I went for a veggie pasta with tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms which was delicious. My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs which he said was great! We shared the chocolate fudge cake dessert (which is a very big portion!) with ice cream, also one of the best desserts we’ve had. Staff were absolutely lovely, very chatty and polite and the place just has a friendly, authentic feel about it. It was a very quiet night when we were there but it still had a pleasant atmosphere. The wine was also good! I’m so glad to know there’s somewhere to take visiting friends/family and I’m sure I’ll be back.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Preston and enjoyed an amazing meal of pizza and pasta carbonara at Tino’s. The portions were perfect and tasted lovely and the staff were so attentive and helpful! We had such a wonderful experience that we returned again the second night and the food was just as amazing and the staff just as lovely! Simply couldn’t recommend this place enough!

I was the only person in the restaurant to start but the manager apologised for leaving me there for over 15mins before he took my order.. Tinos’s Ribs to start we’re nice but for me a little gelatinous!!Mushroom Risotto was excellent with lots of flavour and cooked perfectly.

Booked a table for 4 on Friday 27th, very amicable welcome from mine host, seated immediately, ordered wine, starters and mains for us all. Starter came about 8 minutes after ordering, breaded mushrooms for 3 and a spicy chorizo and peppers starter. Great starters!!!Mains, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti meatballs, lasagne, and a lamb dish. All mains very tasty and large, so much so that we couldn’t manage a dessert. Excellent value, good food, we will return. Staff very attentive without being fussy.

Just returned from Preston after visiting the University for my sister's graduation. She had booked Tinos for a celebration meal after the ceremony. The food, service and staff were all amazing. The food was delicious and plentiful. We all had Christmas Turkey Dinner. We definitely recommend the restaurant and will return again in 2020. Many thanks.

Had my 40th birthday do here. Was such a good set up. Had Christmas decorations up. Was no need to get a DJ as there was as background music. Great to have separate room with own bar, etc and still order from set menu. Lynne was very helpful in organising. Felt very straightforward. Would definitely recommend!

I had my baby shower in the function room and was absolutely blown away!! The room was fabulous, the staff were attentive and so lovely. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! All 40 guests were in agreement, it was the most beautiful evening. Thank you to all at Tinos that made that night and the lead up to it such a special experience!! Truly the highlight of my pregnancy and my year so far.

I have never been to tinos before but I will definitely be going again. We were quite a big crowd , but even though the staff were very busy nothing was too much trouble. We had my sister’s 21st birthday party in the private function room at Tino’s this weekend. Big thank you to Lynne who helped organise Lucy’s party and who was always on hand to answer any questions. The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs. The room was dressed beautifully by the Tino’s team and the planning of when the balloon company and the cake company could have access to the room on the day was very easy. All our guests raved about the food, which was delicious! We ordered a buffet and we still can’t believe the amount of food that came out! Massive thank you to all the Tino’s team! Highly recommended!

Tino's is definitely the most underrated Italian Restaurant in Preston. The Food & Service is always spot on.

Was in Preston for a wedding and had lunch here . Was a bit dubious when we saw the outside as it looks quite rundown but inside is beautiful and the food was excellent. The service was good too, nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend you give it a try.

Visited last night with a friend and had the most amazing meal. The mushroom starter we had was absolutely delicious - and certainly the best I have ever tasted. More mushrooms to follow in the risotto which again was perfect. Friend had the chicken pancake which got the thumbs up as well. It's a beautiful restaurant and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I have lived in Preston a long time and never dined here as it looks awful from outside. Tin walls and above a shop by a car park. Well, that was my loss. This place is lovely inside, the staff are so helpful and friendly and the food was amazing. Partner has pasta and I had fillet steak. The steak was perfect and the pasta so fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable and bar area before dining is cosy but can fit about 20 if your friends. I will definitely be going back soon. They also do lunchtime deals and midweek so even better value. Starters are generous portions. I had fried Brie and partner had chicken livers. All very well cooked and presented. Go, I think you’ll like it.

I had my 21st birthday party in the function room of Tinos! The room is gorgeous, all my guests kept on saying how amazing the venue is! It’s in the centre of Preston so your close to the train station, bus station and other bars/clubs! The staff were amazing and so helpful and did such an amazing job. The Buffett food was delicious, again all my guests loved it! I would 100% recommend having any kind of party/event here!

Service was spot on. Staff were brilliant and all the food cooked to satisfaction. Couldn’t ask for better. It was our first visit and well recommended. We had a 3 course and it was excellently presented and tasted perfect.

Called in for tea. We hadn't booked but a table was free. Staff were extremely friendly and the food excellent. It's reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back. The shoulder of lamb was according to my husband one of the best he has had.

Visited with 5 family members fir grandsons birthday - good selection 2 of us had cheese garlic mushrooms 1 had black pudding 1 cheese garlic bread 1 chicken livers main course vegetarian pizza 2 chicken crepes 1 salmon in sauce 1 meatballs round of drinks plus bottle wine - all food hot - didnt care for the crepe it was a little bland swapped with a family members meatballs they were lovely - bill came to £120 forgot to say they managed to put a dessert on with sparklers and happy birthday icing for grandson which was appreciated

Really disappointed after reading the reviews. Served the wrong dish to start with and the food was mediocre at best. The waiter was really nice though. Perhaps we just visited on an off night.

We have visited Preston on many occasions and have seen Tinos from our hotel. The appearance from there is not great, behind Office Depot and next to a few takeaways, so we had always gone elsewhere, until now.

Had a works Christmas meal here today and the food, wine and service was excellent as always. This was my third visit - each time for a works outing. The menu is always fabulous, the food fresh and the atmosphere is brilliant. Despite several other large parties being in at the same time, we were served in a timely fashion and with courtesy. Went recently on a very busy Saturday night. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and not overbearing. Would definitely go again.

Visited Tino's for a quick lunch and was highly impressed. I hadn't been before or read any reviews so wasn't sure what to expect. In stark contrast to the exterior, the interior is very impressive. Friendly, enthusiastic staff ensured we were seated promptly.

Whilst in town shopping we decided to try somewhere different for a family lunch. It was a Monday (19/11/18) and it appeared the restaurant was empty. We were greeted immediately and taken to a table with the a la carte menu, lunchtime and specials. I asked about the house red and was told what type it was, where it was from and given a taste to check I liked it (I did).

We held our daughters christening here today. We used the function room which is just tucked away to the side of the restaurant giving you a large private space for your party. The buffet was absolutely delicious, lots of people commented on how good it was. We had sandwiches, pizza, pasta, sausage rolls, frittata, samosas and spring rolls. There was plenty of food to go around and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommmend using Tinos for a party. Thank you to Lynne who helped us to organise everything. The staff were friendly and helpful from start to finish. We couldn't have asked for anything better! Had a lovely day.

I have eaten at Tinos restaurant and have now been to a few private functions there, the most recent one being yesterday and I have to say, as always, it was brilliant. The food is excellent but for me it's the service, few places these days seem to provide good service or service with a smile but Tinos most certainly does and I have to say that Gianluca stood out yesterday. He was friendly polite and professional and went the extra mile when my Mother left her purse on the table, he didn't just put it behind the bar waiting for us to go back, he came out of the restaurant and ran over to the car park and handed the purse to her. Thank you Gianluca and thank you to all the staff at Tinos, I will be back - soon I hope.

I recently had my daughters christening party in the function room. Thank you to Lynn who was fabulous from start to finish. Catered to exactly what I wanted on the menu and found it to be very reasonably priced; the room was free to hire as long as you have the catering. The food itself was excellent same quality as it is in the restaurant, it's kept warm and there was lots of it. We definitely got what we paid for. The staff were very friendly, polite and the bar was well stocked. Thank you for making my babies day so special. I would definitely recommend here for anyone wanting a function, especially with the location in the city centre.

Very friendly welcome from the owner, full of smiles and chat. Lovely starters, I had a perfectly cooked fillet steak whilst the other three opted for the lamb all agreed that the meats were excellent. A bit disappointed with the potatoes, neither boiled or roasted, somewhere inbetween.

Im beginning to think we should move in here. Its getting like our second home for eating out. Food is always brilliant and the staff are the most friendliest tou will ever find. Nothing is too much and go that extra mile to make you smile. The place is that spotless you could eat off the floors. Pollo alacreme is a fav of mine and the deserts well...go try them and then you can agree.

14 of us had booked in here for a leaving do, and we were all seated together which was great, we ordered of the set menu and the 2 foe £13 menu which has a great selection of dishes to choose from.

We attended a birthday celebration in the function room which is a great space! There is a dance floor, a mezzanine area and a bar. The food was really nice, my only criticism would be that every course was coated in a sauce. I had the mushrooms - usually garlic & breadcrumbs, this had (lots of) béchamel sauce all over it too, salmon - supposed to have a sauce and it was lovely), and profiteroles - they were smothered in a cream sauce. Chocolate will do fine here, it made it too much.

Visited tonight with my husband and our son tea time offer 2 courses for £13.90 read on recent reviews about the portions and quality being not very good but we couldn’t fault it at all very big portions and very tasty food, staff very attentive we will most definitely being going back

Got to say that this was our first visit and after our experince it won't be the last. Lunchtime gathering of 8 were well catered for with choice of 2 draught beers, varirty of bottles and cans of bitter. Special set menu of 2 courses for 10.99 or mix and match from the specials menu. Our starters including blackpudding with sauce, seafood cervettes, plus others which we all enjoyed.More drinks as and when needed. The mains more than satisfied our appetites, most popular being pork belly and veg, chicken apolo, meatballs, pizza and a warm chicken salad. Superb!. Rounded off with coffees for around £25 a head. Nothing but the best of service throughout and with good interaction about the world cup helping to round off a thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Had a lovely meal at Times, never been before and found the choice excellent, great vegetarian options and friendly prompt service. Ravioli were particularly good.

Welcomed warmly on a very cold night first visit. Had Calamari with a lovely homemade tarter sauce Lobster Ravioli and cheesecake for dessert all delicious. The rest of our group also praised the pizza stuffed pancakes and desserts. Nice find in Preston.

Visited Tinos about twelve months ago and it was woeful for a variety of reasons. Recently heard that some friends had been and had enjoyed a meal there. Decided to give it another go, thinking perhaps it had changed for the better. What a big error, My wife and I went with our son and his fiancé. The food was really poor. I ordered stuffed peppers to start. It arrived and there was hardly any peppers, just remnants of one. The main course was a spicy pizza. It was very sloppy and lacking in taste. Didn't bother to order desserts. Made my feelings known to staff about the poor quality food and none of our party will be returning to Tinos again. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant. Go elsewhere !

We came here for my daughters birthday, it was early in the week and early in the evening so it was quiet, but we created our own atmosphere. The staff were lovely and welcoming and attentive - but not too much so. The food was really really good. The special menu is really good value and I had the chicken pancakes which I can highly recommend for taste and portion size. The Millionaires cheesecake was really fabulous. Reasonably priced, good value. Would highly recommend this little gem. Don't be put off by the location, in fact there is a car park just outside. Its lovely inside.

Well run restaurant with very friendly but professional staff. What can I say, they looked after us all afternoon. The whole party agreed how good the food was and generous portions. Also if you come to this restaurant you must try the Tiramisu!! Excellent dessert to finish with.Highly recommend this place for a meal.

Visited a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night with 15 family and friends, excellent welcome from all the staff, great menu choices and food was superb, excellent value as well total was less than £350 for 16 of us including drinks although a few of us were driving. i cannot thank lynne and family enough for making my 30th birthday celebration a night to remember, from start to finish lynne was always in touch to help me arrange food, entertainment and the room. We had a hot buffet provided which was first class, all my guest complimented the food which was fresh and full of flavour, there was a wide selection of food on offer and something for everyone. The staff on the bar were fantastic too there was plenty of beverages to choose from, i would recommend tino's to anyone who wants to have that extra special factor for an occasion or those who want to enjoy authetic italian food with loved ones in their restaurant.

Not been to Tino s for a long time. Probably because it's in Preston. But 18 of us met for a post Christmas meal. It was Tuesday night in January so understandably quiet. Great service and food. €13.90 for 2 courses but good choice.

We were so looking forward to Christmas lunch from work and it was utterly rubbish. The pate to start with was smaller than the size of a match box served with 4 triangles of cold toast and a few lettuce leaves than posed for a salad! The main course was 6 pieces of pasta in a luke warm runny tomato sauce, I ordered coffee and cheese/biscuits as I didn't want a sweet but all I got was a coffee and that was the end of a bad meal. To add insult to injury we were expected to pay £25 a head for this utter crap, wont ever go back and have made it known to my friends not to bother eating here!! Shockingly bad, so dissatisfied.
