Tim Hortons in Sunderland

Tasteless food, me and the missus have had serious acid indigestion for over 8 hours since we ate a breakfast from Tom Hortons.

Atmosphere clean and service is too good. Not that busy-.

Very,very dirty inside. The windows look terrible, like never been washed. The toilets are disgusting and you never find any soap to wash your hands.

First time visiting, food & drinks were so good! Will definitely be visiting again

Just ordered donuts. Waited then the staff member held out the box. I collected the box and I said thank you. They never said anything at all during the whole thing.

Useless service. Don't use the drive thru if you're not prepared to sit for a good 15 minutes. Even if you think it looks quiet - you'll still be there ages. Park up and go into McDonald's across the street. It'll still be quicker. This is from several visits not just one, although today will be last attempt there.

Had fries. Asked for no jalapeños. So the girl starred taking them out with her bare hands. Asked for fresh portion

I came for the coffee , Cappuccino ( medium) with a ringed maple doughnut. £5.34 Through the Drive through. The coffee is the best I've tasted. Totally recommend. I Will certainly be coming back.

Missing Items were delivered, don't refund them

This place is top notch. We have been a handful of times and on our last visit today we made a mistake when ordering with the machine and the guy behind the counter was kind enough to help us out and make it right. Says a lot about customer service when they go above and beyond. Will definitely keep coming back here! 🤩

Edit as of 28/ 09/ 24 Service seems to be even slower and I mean do not come here expecting anything less than 10 minutes wait from ordering to getting your order (and I think I'm being generous here!) The staff are really friendly but there is an obvious shortage of them - bins overflowing, tables needing cleaning, windows and glass panels are covered in greasy prints and other random smudges, and the afore mentioned waiting times. Also worth making a note of: check your order, theres a strong chance something may be missing. So far after this follow up visit, I am struggling to be positive about anything other than the 1 staff member I interacted with being "pleasant". Genuinely feels like TH has past the point of diminishing returns with trying to lower their staffing overhead. ___________________________ Not the fastest but by no means an unsatisfactory wait. The breakfast meal deal serms to be well worth it but not subject to the BlueLight Card discount - but still worth it nonetheless. Clean, tidy and decent choice of seating. We'll be back when in the neighborhood again.

2 years since I've last been and nothing changed. Service is still slow. Ordered drink and breakfast muffin and took 20 mins. Staff just don't seem bothered. Still waiting for my food now writing this. 😂

Took 30 minutes to get my breakfast order. Tables all filthy, used full trays piled up and overflowing at the bin, windows absolutely filthy where we were sitting and floor not cleaned for a long time by the state of it. Never saw any staff clearing or cleaning tables. Food ok but if this is how they keep the front of house then I have no faith in the kitchen hygiene

Had the pumpkin spice hot chocolate and it’s the best pumpkin spice drink I’ve had from any fast food chain in the UK or US. Ordered the bacon roll with chipotle sauce and it was thick with bacon ( thick with bacon, you hear me macdonalds) would have preferred my bacon a bit more crispy but that’s my preference not a complaint on how the bacon was cooked. Waited about 7 mins for our order and there was plenty of seating available and the area was heated and not freezing cold like some fast food chains.

The food it's self was really nice but unfortunately it was cold which was such ashame as it was gud quality food just cold

Manager on shift today 14.09.24 absolutely usless. About 20 people waiting on food, ive been here over 30 mins. Manager has peoples drinks sitting waiting for the food to catch up so drinks are cold. Just eat kicking off because the service is so slow Ridiculous

Ordered for the first time, never again. Ordered the nacho chilli cheese chicken stack, terrible, cheese sauce none existent, chicken burger the size of £2 coin. Loaded nacho fries were rubbery and dry, no cheese on these either .. terrible would never recommend.

First time try & was left dissapointed. Tried self service menu board & had to press two/three times for each item until it registered. Couldn't find item so gave up & went to counter. Service not very friendly & unhelpful. Was hoping for maple syrup with pancakes but got golden syrup! Ceiling tile left on floor in toilet. Shame - won't go again.

Donut Timbits are delicious. Food is typical of fast food restaurant meal selections. Prices are average. I would recommend the Timbits. Delivery on time and friendly.

Service was a bit slow, but food was good, not as greasy as a Mc Donald's breakfast which was nice.

Guy turned up with KFC when I ordered Tim hortons, told me he contacted restaurant and food was coming out then left with the KFC, waited another hour and no food turned up… so two hours later no food and £21 gone, no answer from just eat or restaurant…

Food was nice just sadly one doughnut was missing.

Popped in for a quick coffee stop. Coffee is always piping hot, just the way I like it. Burgers aren't too shabby either.

Floor dirty, had to wipe tables as both we’re really dirty this was a first time visit sad to say didn’t think much for price paying even grandchild didn’t like it even cleaned tables again after finished

Got my order wrong and actually stood at the counter arguing with me that it was right... Even though the contents of the box visibly didn't match the label. Mediocre food and arrogant staff

First time coming here. Donuts and coffee nice but £20 for 4 donuts and 2 coffees is a bit much, and it wasn't particularly busy and look at the state of the bins. Were like that when we came in and still like that when we left.

Great place to relax had very positive experience staff and were amazing coffee is top notch too

Was looking forward to trying here drinks were not to my liking but that could well be personal preference. Some of the doughnuts were beautiful but some were stale. The store was not busy at all during our visit but there was no interaction with staff other than calling the order number out then turning their back and walking away. Regularly visit other coffee stores and the staff always ask how you are smile and interact it makes such a difference.

Definitely won’t be ordering online from here again!! I ordered a breakfast and doughnuts and they’ve totally forgot the breakfast!! The delivery driver also put all the food on next doors step and said I had to go round for it. Ludicrous.

Every order I've had has been wrong and I keep having to get them to correct it. Staff are just lazy and need training

Food and coffee - Very nice and good value for money. Cleanliness - Awful. The floor was covered in dust, crumbs and even saw a false nail on the floor. Table was sticky, Chairs were stained, with lots of dust down the back and even found a birthday badge. The first two toilets i tried to use were awful and unusable.

Very disappointing; been here a few times and won't return .sorry but management need to stop random groups of teenagers just coming in to sit and not purchasing . Very off putting when we noticed feet up on tables . Disgrace really and this isn't the first time that public are using it as a community centre not a food outlet. Why ??? Won't be returning

I have ordered the same thing from you twice today both had arrived in a wet soggy bag as you are unable to wrap coffee properly.

Honestly do not order from them online ordered earlier today. First driver had coffee all over his car from how the coffee was packed. He threw my order in the bin and drove off. Got a refund ordered again second driver left the order on my door step knocks on my door and runs like he is back in school. Same again leak in the bag coffee everywhere all over my drive and porch. They are unable to pack coffee correctly the Boldon one gets it right every time.

The coffee in Tim Hortons in Washington Galleries, opposite Sainsbury's, is unique to me. I haven't tasted coffee this good in an age... Washington's Tim Hortons is a big cool airy place. Big comfy chairs, settees huge windows letting in natural light... I had some of those "Tim Bits"... I was suitably surprised they are all different and quite Lush. There are various food offers. If I were you I'd go for the quirky, different and Canadian. This place has a very friendly open nature to it. As I write it is 22°C in Sunderland/Washington yet in here it is cool and pleasant. I had no idea you can get breakfast wrap for £1 with any hot drink. Now that is something worth trying for isn't it. The staff are helpful and seem to bust serving cleaning and cooking. The drive thru is quite popular too. I've taken some photos on a quiet lull of the Saturday afternoon not quite teatime yet whilst holding on to the afternoon. I liked it in here. The place has a friendly slow rhythm to it. Atul who served me was very good. I'm not easy to deal with... He managed fine... The Manager of the place was floating about actively engaging with his work force ensuring things were ticking over as they should be. Pop in next time you're at the Galleries.

Our first visit to Tom’s coffee, sandwich and doughnuts were delightful 😋 cleanliness not so good… crumbs etc on the seats same with the floor. When the cleaner came out didn’t see them spray tables with any disinfectant or other cleaning solution!

Food was supposed to come at half 12, then they pushed back the delivery by an hour to half 1 after my order at 11:30. Food came and half the fries were missing and the entire meal was stone cold. Wont be going back.

My maple syrup doughnut was missing from order

Discovered “the chain” in Penrith and very impressed. Washington however, seems a different experience altogether. Staff seem unbothered about anything and so laid back they’re horizontal? Machine ordering system never seems to work. Even the drive through was closed today? “Technical issues?” Sadly, after 10 minutes of having payment card “refused,” we walked out. A bit “hangry?”in truth? Yes. But up your game people!!’

Nice clean free carpark and inside was clean and relaxing. Plenty of types of doughnuts and the staff were quick and pleasant. Doughnuts were all fine and coffee is fine. Nothing mind blowing for me but all fine.

The meal was late, the receipt on the bag was for a different order. Our order was wrong. Stuff was missing. Will not be ordering again.

Tenders were lovely. However, didn't receive the sweet chilli dip :-( cheeseburger wasn't for me waffle fries weren't great, but I loved the glazed timbits (not with cinnamon, though)

Chicken wrap okay but expensive . and drinks ok . my main gripe was the Washington store was scruffy . trays ,wrappers, left over food on the tables wrappers and litter on the floor , dried up stains on the tables , windows all filthy . just not good , Sorry to say this as a fan of Timmys .

Tim very good but hygiene round tables and bins needs a bit of work

So we popped in as wanted to avoid McDonalds for a quick lunch. Really impressed. Vegan wrap was fresh, tasty and the vegan nuggets were flavoursome. Coffee good. Love the timbits for just a small bite of something sweet. Husband loved the burger. Would certainly visit again.

When this first opened it was lovely, but now it smells of cooking , the place isn’t clean . The window are dirty inside! We were really put off from eating there again . Tim Horton Canada would be ashamed to have you use there name .

delivery driver caused one of the drinks I ordered to fall over while driving which meant that my order was ruined on delivery, the driver simply said 'sorry bro' and made a very fast exit, terrible interaction and a total waste of money.

could be so much better. first impressions count, when you enter this restaurant there are two doors, the door which has the pull sign on is locked so you immediately make a fool of yourself by trying to open the lock door. inside it’s always quiet but the furniture is comfortable and there’s background music playing. food is good and coffee is mega strong. much better environment than the other fast food restaurants.

One of my favourite fast food chains, good chicken goujons and burgers. Lattice fries instead of chips and great coffee. Donuts are to die for. Well worth checking out if you are near Washington

Ordered at kiosk got ANY lunch for £4.99 came up charging me £9.74. This even after kiosk showed £6+. My wife ordered breakfast stuff at kiosk told at counter after paying breakfast was finished. DO NOT come here. Apparently the kiosks say totally different to staff. Kiosk said my triple burger part of meal deal staff said it was not. I am posting this prior to getting food, as I am mad and stressed just ordering, so can not comment on food.

We popped to Tim Hortons out of curiosity as it’s near where my son goes trampolining. We had given our selves 35 minutes to get a quick drink but after ordering waited 25 minutes for a cappuccino, frappe and donut. The cappuccino arrived as black coffee, as time was short I asked just for milk to be added. I was puzzled when the server told me “it will affect the temperature”, adding milk to whatever was in the cup made it completely stone cold (and v bland). I am truly sorry if this is “Canada’s favorite coffee”, it’s the worst coffee I have ever paid for. We will not go back

Feel like staff are incapable of packing bags, ordered 2 coffees both spilled over lids completely off, even delivery driver was annoyed as they went all over his seat

It's ok, we had breakfast and it was mediocre. Coffee is like a dessert it was so sweet, I had a vanilla latte.
