Tim Hortons in Sunderland

We popped to Tim Hortons out of curiosity as it’s near where my son goes trampolining. We had given our selves 35 minutes to get a quick drink but after ordering waited 25 minutes for a cappuccino, frappe and donut. The cappuccino arrived as black coffee, as time was short I asked just for milk to be added. I was puzzled when the server told me “it will affect the temperature”, adding milk to whatever was in the cup made it completely stone cold (and v bland). I am truly sorry if this is “Canada’s favorite coffee”, it’s the worst coffee I have ever paid for. We will not go back

Food is lovely service is very much hit and miss but the toilets are dreadful come on guys sort this disgusting issue out as it just lets you down

I often visit here with my friend .The food is always amazing & very filling.I always buy the vegan wrap for breakfast or if we’re in at lunchtime I buy the crispy meatless chicken sandwich with chipotle sauce.We always purchase the meal as it’s a really good deal.The choice of drinks are fantastic as there’s so many but I always get the chai latte which is amazing.Staff here have always been very helpful & if we’ve had an issue it’s dealt with immediately.We highly recommended Tim hortons.

Absalute miserable service. You get your food thrown at you no smiles just attitude. And when you ask where the toilet is they just ignore you. Run by foreigners with no manners no service skills. Could not wait to get out the place as it was so dirty. Dirty tables crap all over the floor. Never again.

Good coffee, good donuts. The atmosphere was good too, nice and calm. Service was quick and order was correct. Parking is fine, lots of spaces and not a tight carpark.

Visited last week with my wife and after ordering noticed the £1 deluxe donut with the purchase of a medium or large drink - there were small banner ads at each table. However, on returning Monday as a couple the order cost was way above what I expected. There were two problems. Problem 1 - "That is only a lunchtime offer" Problem 2 - "You have to buy one of those drinks on the ad" Am I under the mistaken belief that if an offer is time limited (Such as the breakfast meal offer which says "before 11 am) ) that it must be dispayed on the ad? The ad also said "With the purchase of a medium or large drink" - not that you had to buy only one of the two drinks on the ad. Two members of staff were having their say at me despite me asking where the limitations were on the ad banner, since I could not see any such thing. Therefore, since they were so adamant they were correct I chose to cancel my order altogether and leave the restaurant. I do not like what I believe to be deceptive advertising. I also do not see coffee and a donut as a lunch item, whereas I do see it as a morning item, or an afternoon item. Finally, don't bother complaining to Tim Hortons through their website. The response is basically "thanks for writing, so sorry for the inconvenience" with not a single word about the actual complaint.

Looks nice on approach but the place is soulless. Everything is provided in cardboard or paper which feels wrong for a restaurant. So easy to use crockery and reduce waste. Food wise, the one only vegan option… was not available. Shocking really in this day and age to have just one alternative and then to run out. Oat and soya lattes were available so a point for that. My friends toastie (microwaved we suspect) had melted cheese on top, then was packaged so the bit of paper on the top had stuck to it. I only came here because Costa over the way had closed early. I won’t be back.

Cheap and nasty Took ages for the food Definitely one to miss Seems inexpensive but when you start adding the things you would assume to be included it adds up very quickly

dont bother its really not nice at all.. donuts are completely tasteless and dry and the burger was honestly one of the worst i have ever had.. bland yet really greasy,stale bun, and massive chunks of onion...just go anywhere else it will be better for sure

We were excited to try here, but it ended up being a disappointing experience. On first appearances the restaurant looks large, clean and pleasant to sit in. However when we got inside we were faced with a very grumpy lady who evidently couldn't be bothered. She didn't speak a single word throughout the entire transaction of us choosing, I struggled to get her to listen, or rectify it when she put the wrong choices in the box. The 'vanilla strawberry' was filled with custard instead of strawberry. The doughnuts themselves look alot better than they tasted. The doughnuts were dry, bread-y and really not a doughnut. We left all of the parts that weren't filling or icing. The brownies on top of one were dry stale little bits. They are generously filled to make up for the fact they are stale bread and not a doughnut! I don't recommend at all, they're very overpriced too. Lidl's bakery is fat superior and a fraction of the price! I don't know if Canada's is better quality, but don't waste your money here!

Absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service. Staff show no interest in being friendly or helpful. When I asked for clarity on the doughnut box offers, I received a mumbled, almost incomprehensible reply. After asking again, I was basically told to tell her what I wanted. I’m not looking for an overbearing customer care experience, but it would be nice to not be treated as stupid and time wasting when I’m asking for clarity.

Disappointing First visit and not a great impression Messy floor, dirty tables, poorly presented food although the food did taste nice. Some staff worked hard but others didn't seem interested.

Stopped here for some breakfast before doing some shopping and had some lovely food. I tried the breakfast wrap and a breakfast muffin with a hash brown, food was lovely but they seem to scrimp on the sauce, but overall will be having good from here again. Place was very clean and tidy. My partner got a donut and said that it was great and said he would get them again.

Well the food was fast. My burger arrived in about one minute. ...and it was bewildering. I think the closest thing I can describe it is one of those circular sausage patties you get in a McDonalds breakfast muffin. Monotone, warmed-up to serve and tasting of herbs. Why would you do that? This place is like a gimmick without an actual gimmick - I'm pretty sure Canada isn't famed for ruining the burger. £6 for a double burger isn't outrageous, but what's the point, even something from McDonalds tastes better (and is cheaper) as they put decent dressing on their warmed-up discs of brown protein (this came in a bun with a slice of cheese and a piece of crunchy lettuce). Otherwise the place is clean and quite nice to sit-in (albeit The Galleries car park isn't the prettiest place to look at). They obviously do more than burgers - the chicken wrap I had a while back was 'ok', but unless I'm missing something amazing with their donuts, it's not a place I'd go back to.

First off, they don’t take cash. Very irritating. Secondly, the burger meals don’t come with normal fries, they come with waffle fries. And thirdly, the burgers are terrible. Tasteless, bland, frozen, and far too much sauce. Probably the worst burger I’ve ever had from any chain.

25 minutes I’ve had to wait for a breakfast wrap and a sausage muffin. Absolutely ridiculous!! Never again!

We had delivery by Uber eats from this restaurant. Despite paying for priority delivery the food was stone cold and the donuts were missing. Drinks were melted. All in all a dreadful experience which was a treat for my grandson.

Not impressed at all bread bun was freezing asked for sauce on none put on it it was plain and tasteless waist of money won’t be rushing back there in a hurry

The place serves a really great Mocha; coffee / chocolate ratio-taste is just perfect! That's about all. 5/5 on Coffee. Downside: burgers have no taste; swamped by "sauce" to hide the lack of taste. Prices is really not value for money. Portions are sadly stingy....

i was the only customer and from the staff's attitudes, i definitely won't be back. They could not be bothered, the burger I got was coldish and there was more sauce in the box than the burger. I genuinely felt that i was disturbing them.

The coffee is hot and fine. The donut is ok . Plenty of seats even tho it's half term. It's February, very cold outside and pretty cold inside too. No need for freezing air con . Spoiling the visit a bit .
