Stack Seaburn in Sunderland

Food was not of any quality what so ever. Ordered from the Greek outlet, gyros platter and halloumi platter, £28 . Each meal was loaded with cheap frozen fries and lashings of sauces which gave a sickly feel when eating. Gyros meat was very poor, tiny pieces which seem to be difficult to find amongst all the fries. Halloumi was ok but no effort made to season or present it. Ordered on the app with a collection time, as I arrived the meal wasn’t ready at all, the so called cook was in his mobile phone and then proceeded to throw the so called meals together from preprepared tubs as I waited. £28 for what was an overload of cheap frozen fries and sauces was a disgrace and I would advise anyone to steer clear. We ordered a pint of Guinness and a tonic water from a bar, both in plastic glasses. After leaving most of the meal , it is intended that customers then clear their own paper plates and place into the bins which we do, but felt the whole operation is focused on no service and no quality at all. I can’t say what the other outlets are like but I now have my expectations set! Please avoid!

This place is definitely not all it has cracked up to be. On first impressions, it looked very promising. Nice atmosphere and live music but seating was very hard to come by and when we did find somewhere, the tables and chairs were sticky. A lot of overpriced drinks and we are pretty sure one of the group got food poisioning from the greek food place.

Visited for Paddy’s Day and had a great time. The venue was well decorated with Irish bands and singers on all day. We ordered a couple of pizzas from Zza, which were okay, could have maybe done with a little longer in the oven. Drinks are slightly expensive but that’s to be expected with the location. Always worth a visit.

Came to stack seaburn just to go to Brack Burger. The service was horrendous. The staff were very rude. And I left feeling abit down from being spoken to like a piece of crap. Disappointing as I’m a regular to stack seaburn, won’t be going back to Brack burger.

Review is for YOLO only. Coffee is absolutely fine, I like the latte, and the interior is bright and airy with nice marble table tops. Food is pretty dire. We first tried YOLO a few times before the refurb when it was a small interior area and were not impressed at all, plus the horrific wait time if you were waiting for takeout from the hatch was deplorable. Was hoping with the refurb that had upped the game. Scrambled egg pot was hideous, absolutely swimming in water and the egg had no taste. Absolutely disgusting, should have demanded money back. Maple bacon pancakes - a specific type of bacon needs to be used for this dish, not the usual fatty salty bacon. The bacon was clearly cooked in old oil which had used many times over, was tough as old boots and therefore uncuttable. Did not go with the dish at all. Not enough golden syrup on the pancakes, which I doubt were freshly homemade. Dry as sticks all in all. My daughters toastie came in brown bread, had I of realised I would have asked for white but weren’t given the option. The type of bread used wasn’t suitable - the crusts were so dry it was like eating crostini. They can’t get any basic food options right and we have tried 3-4 times to eat there now, just will not do it again. Real shame as only proper coffee shop around. Will still return for coffee and nice atmosphere inside but that’s it. Would never return to hatch due to the absolutely ridiculous wait.

We went into Yolo overlooking the seafront. Really friendly staff and good toasted Sandwiches The sausage cheese and beans filled a gap and good cups of coffee

Great spot for a day out down the seafront. I went with a group of friends for food and drinks. Music was good with a couple of live bands playing throughout the day. Nothing too loud as to not be able to speak to the company your are in, just the perfect volume. The venue also shows live football as well as sky sports news if the games aren't on the TV, perfect for sports fans. The Chicken Gyro I got from Acropolis was very flavourful however I did feel it was rather small for the price. The drinks were also a little on the expensive side but that is to be expected in the area it is located. I will definitely be back to the Stack due to the variety they offer in both food and entertainment. Anyone travelling to the area it is certainly worth a visit.

Loved this place during post lockdown. Recently returned and its still good vibes there. Great views and locations

The place is leaking water all over Cold, wet, and dripping roof in several places ? Music on but things beeping and alarms going off Bit miserable downstairs Upstairs better with views and dryer

It's a great venue for a get together. Live music and loads of food choices. Some food vendors here a bit hit and miss though so do your homework before you choose.

Yes, there are heaters, but like with any outdoor facility, the heat is lost. Would not recommend it here during autumn and winter. Otherwise, it's a nice relaxing facility with live music.

Horrible, dark and dingy. Very loud music, lots of kids running around. Most places closed. Not for me!

Enjoyed the quiz night here on a Tuesday evening. My first visit. Good atmosphere and a variety of food and drink on offer. Will go again.

A decent venue, sort of outdoors with a canopy over the roof. Plenty food and drink options. Coming from Newcastle I required my passport upon entry after crossing the water.

Great entertainment and food/drink selection. Bench seating can get uncomfortable- take a blanket or cushion to sit on.

Great place. Great venue. Staff were all really friendly. Was really cold the night we went but found a table upstairs with a brilliant heater. Will most definitely go again and hopefully try some of the food, especially Brack Burgers. These burgers are ""THE BEST" on the market.

Working at the Stack Seaburn space for a year was an incredible experience. The serene environment and ocean views provided a unique and inspiring backdrop. The facilities were well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere fostered productivity. Grateful for the memories and experience learned !

Maybe went at the wrong time because it was full of dogs yapping on. Won’t be back in a hurry. We were there at 1pm on a Sunday.

Nothing Gluten Free. Don't be fooled, none of the food places in the stack do gluten free anything. Zza was our only hope and by the sounds of it they never have the GF bases in and couldn't be less interested in giving any idea of when/if they ever have them in. So yeah, if you have to follow a GF diet, the Stack isn't for you.

Visited the Stack for lunch and decided on traditional fish and chips from Downeys. On a positive note The food was delicious Not so good They didn’t have anything cooked so everything cooked to order. We waited age’s despite it not being busy. After 30-40 mins went back to counter to see what the delay was. It seemed the staff weren’t cooking things in order with some people after us got their food, ate it and left whilst we still waited. The mushy peas, although nice were tepid at best. Certainly not a good as previous visits

The Stack is a great place to visit whether its for food, drink or both, great atmosphere, definitely worth a visit or two. Brack burger in The Stack is simply outstanding. Pricey but worth it.

Was here on Tuesday on a date night with my husband. The singer paige was fantastic. Also the barstaff Shauna, Megan and Cameron were brilliant, nothing was to much hassle for them. They were very polite and friendly. They are a credit to the team. It was a lovely night thank you to you all.

Met up with fellow volunteers after tidying an nearby allotment. The staff put the outside heaters on near our table as it was a bit chilly. Cheers

Really good place to enjoy with friends. Great variety of restaurants. I recommend to go when is Kroud Karaoke because is an amazing experience, really funny!!

Good atmosphere. Improved app means less waiting about for food and you are able to synchronise orders for food to be ready at the same time. Food was really good (we all went for Indian street food) and the music was great.

Come from Edinburgh to visit here often. LOVE IT. Staff super friendly and always helpful. FOOD excellent and thoroughly enjoy trying the diff options. Dog friendly too which is a bonus - will be back soon!

I visited the stack in sea burn in August which was fantastic. Today I have been debited money from my bank account from the stack when I have not been since August. Just be very careful using your bank cards. Not a good vibe. Puts me off going back. Not sure how to resolve this 😡

Had some great times here - food amazing and the bands we’ve watched were fab and of course the bingo - not won yet but there’s hope still

Perfect spot! Lovely views of the beach opposite and Kroud karaoke is fantastic. The other live music artists are always cracking too- lively atmosphere!

The rude man who stands on the door shushing people as they’re standing outside maybe needs to get a new job as he seems very unhappy in the one he’s in and clinging on to any little form of authority. Standing at the door 4 ft tall with his long coat on looking like a baldy lord forquad.

Thank goodness for heaters. Nicely designed place with good choices. The downside is that you have to download the app to see the current menu and order. With the app, we ordered and it never gave a confirmation, so I tried again, and now it showed the same order twice! Went straight to the bar and the manager sorted out the refund and cancelled the duplicate order. Brack burgers - absolutely amazing and great customer service. They even said that seems odd, the exact order twice. Lovely people. Bao Buns - went to tell them it was a duplicate order. Then, I asked for our drinks, they said you didn't have any, even though they can see my app. They searched through the bin...red flag #2. Finally, she rolled her eyes and said, "Just give it to them" (like we were lying) red flag #3. Went to see were the food was - 20 more min..got the manager and he went to check it out and asked our order. Obviously, they threw out our order because our food was wrong but at that point why even go back up - we ended up with a katsu rice bowl and 2 duck bao buns should have been katsu bao bun/sesame bao bun and then 2 sesame bao buns. The customer service was shocking, so I won't visit that restaurant again. The manager did his best and was super friendly! We highly recommend the burger place so good!

Love it here - kids are allowed in until 9pm (very busy on weekends), the atmosphere is amazing - can bring in dogs. Love the live music and different choices of foods - keeps everyone happy! The heaters are an added bonus!

Great indoors /outdoors space with lots to eat, drink choices

Really liked the lay out of the place, was my first time there and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the places inside are a little on the expensive side but over all a really good experience

Long live the stack. Great entertainment, great food selection, only problem is it’s a little expensive but this is why we don’t stay too long and just use it as a stop on a pub crawl for 3 or 4. Be extra wary in the toilets, I have seen pick pockets working from time to time on really busy days taking advantage of the crowds/drunk people. Security are always on form though if advised.

Whenever our friends visit Sunderland we always visit, booking a table in advance due to two of the party having special needs. The staff are always so friendly, helpful but most of all very accommodating enabling us to always enjoy a fabulous night.

Went down on Sunday evening and they had a live band on who were really good. Plenty of choice for food options.

What a great place, built from shipping containers and with so many different food and drink outlets you can't fail to be impressed. People talk about the 'vibe' of a place, this has that indescribable something that leads you to want to come back.

I loved this place when we first arrived. The atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon was really lovely. There were bands playing , the sun was shining and there was a huge range of food options that you could pick from. There was a QR code on the table that showed all of the food outlets menus. I just fancied a pizza so ordered from the little pizza place we were sat by. I have only just found out that you can order to your table from anywhere inside you need to use the Stack leisure app you can download from your app store. Review- there is a lift by the main entrance . Bathrooms were on the ground floor on the right-hand far corner from the entrance. We don't live nearby but we will definitely be back. Thanks to the Stack for their swift response to my review. I have amended it to make it easier to understand.

One of the best event centres so far. Nice coordination from the staffs and management. A place to always visit and get refreshed while having fun with series and loads of entertainment and programs. Thumbs up!

Looked around as an option for a meal but all standard mainstream drinks. Nothing grabbed us to eat either so went elsewhere. Despite bars having different names, all seemed to sell the same drinks.

Great afternoon with live music, street food and drinks

Very poor quality going there for tea or coffee with cake my carrot cake was like a biscuit at each end and a little hard in the centre... Will not go there again coffee was ok. The staff behind the counter seem like the had learning difficulties. I do apologise if they did but they had no idea one couldn't see very well because of her eye lashes..... It was our first time there for the 4 of us (all adults) and we will not be back. Sorry but food wise it was bizmull .

Fantastic! What more can I say.....Well the fish and chips at Downey's is absolutely second to none! My wife and I shared a large portion and it was plenty for a lunch. They are on the top end price wise but if I could get...
