This is actually the Premier Inn Hotel restaurant, but don’t be fooled by any means - this is not standard. The food is great & made by a very creative Chef would pays attention to deal & cares about what he’s plating. Our server who was also the bar tender was so nice & very attentive. Houmous & gain salad on the Mediterranean salad dish were all made from scratch & with the olives & pita bread were excellent. The linguine, tomato with prawn was also a winner. Tiramisu cream made from scratch too. We asked to meet the Chef the meal was so good - a very humble, nice hungarian guy. A pleasure to meet him. Given it was a hotel restaurant - it was a bit quiet, but we didn’t care as the ambiance was relaxed & tables were rustic. Who needs crowds - LOL.

I have mentioned this place in my review for the hotel, but doing another separate one because this place needs more credit. Staff are very friendly welcoming and easy to talk to. Food is amazing so tasty and well presented, clear to see the chefs have a passion for what they do with the look and taste of the food. We ate here both nights of our stay as with our first experience we didn’t want to go anywhere else.

Great meal and excellent service especially form a young lad call Jamie M. He was ever so friendly, all the staff were. He made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely , filling and hot. Must make sure you book a table as they got busy quickly. Although Premier inn staff recommend this , the same for breakfast. The restaurant/bar does not open tol 5.30pm.

Just popped in to get a table (non residents) promptly allocated a table, full menu was available Stephen (Manager and Team) together our waitress whose name escapes us but think it began with a J were excellent. Food cooked to perfection and pipping HOT just as it should be.Very impressed with the venue we will return on our next visit to Oban We are somewhat disappointed by previous comments about non availability of items on the menu, can the General Public not or do not want to realize currently many establishments are experiencing difficulties in supplies mainly caused by Covid and staff shortages beyond anyone`s control. Time to be more understanding by you the Public that things are far from prefect, but please get behind the staff who are doing an excellent jobs despite the problems , they are great at the job they do perhaps a THANK YOU might not go a miss

Food was tasty and the waiter was lovely. Relaxed environment. It probably wouldn't be our first choice of dining in Oban, but after late-ish return following a full day tour, it hit the spot.

Told different closing times which caused an issue with seating. Waiters were miserable, even my children commented on their surly manners. Beyond burgers were dry and had no 'sloppy joe' on them, no salad, tiny portion of chips. Curries had no naan breads, or mango chutney so were dry. If staff had informed us of these out of stock items we would have chosen differrent items.

"Due to Covid 19" the evening menu is not worth examining offering very basic choices. On our visit the curry was not available.

We were staying at the Premier Inn and booked a table here on our first night. We arrived and were seated, the waitress telling us what the soup of the day was, also saying there were no pizzas available, no tandoori dishes and no coleslaw. My partner went to the bar for drinks, he asked what beers they had and was told 'we have Coors Lite', that's a lager my partner said, 'oh I don't know the difference' the bar tender said. He decided to have a bottle of cider. Back at the table my partner ordered the burger which should have had coleslaw with it, 'can I have onion rings as there is no coleslaw?'. The waitress said she would check with her manager, ' no you can't but you can have a small salad' she said. Small, she should have said minute. When the meal was served my partner asked for mustard, 'no, we don't have mustard' was the reply. I had fish and chips, I asked for tartar sauce and got the same reply. I ask you, fish and no tartar sauce? They serve steaks too but no mustard. The meal and drinks were expensive. The following night we went to Wetherspoons, just round the corner, lovely meal, inexpensive, and pleasant staff. When we return to Oban guess where we will be dining?!

Got a fish supper and received one small fish and a handful of chips. Chips avarage, fish shocking for a fishing community like Campbeltown. Greasy fish very thin and soggy like Spngebob.

Arrived for a reservation we had booked, the place was closed and nobody inside. Phone went straight to voicemail. The website and sign on the window says closed Monday Tuesday however locals then told us they have decided to close on Wednesday? Very very disappointing and inconvenient as we traveled quite a distance with my disabled mother.
