Terrible experience . Two sandwich choices including cheese - not available, as awaiting supplies. Informed them onion allergy but still served onion rings ! I suspect the chips were cooked in same oil as I just made it home and have had an upset stomach since. Chops were oily, cheese burger came without cheese! When questioned it I was given a bowl of grated cheese. Terrible experience and cost over £22 shocking

It’s a need to try it as it’s back open again and it honestly is a lot better. Will be bringing my family soon as it was a delight !

Went for Sunday Lunch, disappointed that no Green Beer on draught, odd for a pub? Ordered a couple of starters, one order must have been missed but came out later. The pork loins and slow roast beef were good the sirloin less so. 2 beef roasts to choose from yet no horseradish sauce available. Apple sauce was requested and came out in two tiny bowls, not too sure the two bowls would have made a portion. Gravy was short, however a gravy boat was supplied after being requested. The additional side of cauliflower cheese is a must, Yorkshire puddings nice and crisp. A pudding was beyond me but those that had a dessert enjoyed them. I will return just to see how the service is and if the pub does beer!

Very rude and arrogent staff memeber towards me and my fiancée on Friday, he was very unprofessional with the way he spoke to us and was poor service from him, other memebers off stuff was outstanding, unfortunately (f**d) let down the other staff by treating me and my fiancée rudely and arrogantly…

A lovely place to eat and celebrate Mother’s Day, I have been here a couple of times and always found it pleasant so we booked for Mother’s Day and was not disappointed at first we was offered a seating in the bar area but as I’m never keen eating a three course meal in the bar area, it was not a problem to rearrange and we was seated nicely in the restaurant, our experience got better by the lovely waitress Shelley she kept us topped up with drinks and any other requests along with the other waiters and waitress keeping us served and making my Mother’s Day one to remember, I would like to say thank you and we will see you again soon 😁

At a loose end and with the discovery of a number of Tesco Clubcard vouchers, we thought we'd swing past for Sunday lunch and booked a table for 4. Arrived on time, but our table wasn't ready so we were pointed through to wait in the bar area. Opted to order some drinks while we were waiting but a distinct lack of staff meant our table was ready well before the barman appeared, five or ten minutes later. Three of us had starters before a wait of almost an hour until the mains were served. We'd ordered a side portion of 'topped roasties' and instantly regretted it - these were a cheap alternative to 'Aunt Bessie's' frozen spuds. Looked and tasted cheap and quite obviously not freshly prepared 'Toby Carvery style'. Again, the meats served - all lukewarm - had a bit of a processed feel to them and while I accept there probably isn't the capability in the kitchen to freshly prepare roasts in such quantity, I expected something more professional than something I'd see served in a cafe and even with an extra gravy boat, the plates were very dry. Finally, I ordered Bakewell Tart for dessert and while the flavour was good, the portion was smaller than anticipated and it was served warm...a first for me. Lastly, a special mention to the server with her hair in bunches and wearing a polka dot dress... after ten minutes, we gave up waiting for you to bring over the fresh cutlery and helped ourselves from an adjoining table. Another twenty minutes wait for the bill meant we were there well over 2 hours. More staff required. It's a shame as this restaurant is one we tend to use when extended family members are descending upon us. From this experience, we'll probably seek out somewhere else.

Lovely, friendly staff! Shelley & Nige were so warm and welcoming and catered to our needs without hesitation! The pub was warm, clean, friendly and comfortable. The food was incredible! All empty plates! Everything arrived at the same time, hot, and delicious! Huge compliments to the chefs! Thank you all so much! We came in last minute as a spontaneous treat for a friend who is visiting from Australia.. and it was lovely to have treated her to a proper traditional pub meal and experience!

We have been going to the Three Horse Shoes for over ten years, and have had at least three Christmas Day meals there. This year was a Joke, the quality of the food was dismal for anyday of the week but on Christmas day, at £68 per head!!! It seemed as if they where on a budget when cooking anything other than a Turkey Roast. There should have been no excuse as the food was pre-ordered??? Starters was served having been sat under a heat lamp, which would not have been so bad if it wasn't salad, the main course vegetables where mostly overcooked, apart from the new potatoes that had a positive uncooked crunch and to top it off the creme brulee was in fact caramel Angel Delight with a single tablespoon of burnt sugar served in a breakfast bowl. The staff agreed, and took the drinks bill off however we still all feel cheated.

Härlig middag en fredag på en riktigt bra engelsk pub. Maten mycket bra, framförallt deras mixed grill med en mycket bra "black pudding". Gott vin och mycket bra service från Hannah and Shelley who made the evening exceptional. See you again, or as we say in Sweden "Vi ses igen"

We had a lovely dinner at the three horseshoes on the 11th July 8pm ish. The food was excellent. Most dishes were superior quality pub type food. As good as the food was it was the service was what made it a really enjoyable experience. We were mainly served by Colleen but also ably supported by Max. Both were efficient friendly and attentive. Will be visiting again especially if Colleen and Max are on

Went with a group of friends and all ordered roast dinners. Food barely warm, vegetables totally lifeless and a poor example of roast dinner. Would not eat here again. Asked for coffee but the machine was broken

Only recently aware this pub was hidden in clear view so to speak. Only just off the main road but totally off my radar. Great food, service and many outside tables besides those inside. Speckled Hen on tap, good wine choice and proper wine glasses....

We arrived here for a nights dinner as a cuple , although the food was ok and the service was ok to start . The kitchen forgot to cook our mains waiting over an hour and a half , the tables around us eventually left , leaving us asking for our mains several times . Our waitress left and other staff were not attentive , they smashed a bottle of pepsi over our clothing and never apologized. The experience was poor , if I was prezzo I would be discussed.

Saturday night and the pub was dead. Sofa was old and ripped, the carpet had seen better days.Beer was OK so was the servise. My first and last visit here.Such a shame as its a lovely old building. There was the smell comeing from the toilet into the bar area. I was very disappointed as been past this pub many many times.

Nice clean place, but that is all I can say was good. The worst pie & mash I've ever had, the meal was only luke warm, and the pies were under cooked, there was a group on another table that complained about their meal being cold, and then walked out leaving the food on the table. This was my first time in this restaraunt and will be my last.

Staff were nice but didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Fingers and hands all over the coffee glass rim. Three things I asked for they didn’t have. Had to ask for a glass for the bottle of lemonade (which was third choice). Sat outside because we had a dog and to enjoy the sun - in a cloud of staff Vaping in the doorway next to us and smokers the other side. Never returning, plenty of other places in high st that know how to run things properly.
