Just been for breakfast. Very nice. Lovely place. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Will definitely go again. Plants and flowers for sale as well .

Food good but customer service usually excellent very poor today. Told to finish up drinks as they had reserved our table to someone else Rushed out to accommodate and blonde girl shouted across a full room you haven't paid your meal. I have never been so embarrassed.Old owners never treated us like this before have been coming for 3 years in total, will not be coming back.

Such a brilliant cafe with a welcoming, friendly and generous family vibe. Food is consistently great, with good quality produce at a very reasonable price. Staff are always attentive and accommodating with fast friendly service. I come most weeks and love it.

** Gluten free breakfast ** We had a lovely experience at KC’s cafe. The menu doesn’t state gluten free but they do cater for gluten free and I could choose anything off the menu. To my surprise they have gluten free sausages (They’re hiding under the toast) and even gluten free bread for toast (Very rare encounter for us to get toast too!) I really appreciated how I was asked if it was okay that the hash browns are cooked in the same oil as something that contained gluten which is a big no for someone with coeliac but I was very impressed that they checked and I was compensated with something else to make up for the hash brown. I thoroughly enjoyed my gluten free breakfast and will definitely be back :)

Decent breakfast. Love that you can take the pooch in. Service was good, very friendly. Only criticism is the meat may have been pre-cooked as the bacon was rock hard. The pooch took care of it for us. Would return and ask if can be cooked for less time next time :)

Went there this morning and was very impressed. Fantastic service, didn't feel like anything would be an effort. I had the large breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. The other chap I was with had scrambled egg on toast with baked beans. Again cooked just how he wanted it. The place is very clean and has a fantastic menu with lots of choice. The food above with two quality cups of tea came to £13. Very good value. Will definitely be visiting again.

Typical Spoons with good value selections, free hot beverage refill, friendly, quick, efficient service. Little bit dark inside and toilets are upstairs, but we enjoyed our meal and could talk without the TV or music blaring

Super friendly and 4 legged friendly ( very rare). Both my wife and our for 4 legged family have been here a few times . To be honest we always have a very warm welcome and breakfast freshly cooked and hot. Hosts are very professional and courteous a true testament to al the hard work they provide. Would we visit again always

First time going in and wasn't disappointed, got greeted by the lovely owners who went out their way to make sure everything was 100% we had a full English and it didn't disappoint, food was hot and lovely, the cup of tea was perfect, definitely going back next weekend, highly recommend.

Called in after hearing about it on the radio, arrived and got greeted by a lovely couple, who made sure we had everything we needed, we had the full English and it was lovely, with a cup of tea which was spot on, the breakfast was everything i wanted and cooked fresh, it was delicious, highly recommend this place, will be going back.

We found this place by chance, being in the area for the local art shoo. We ordered a vegan stir fry with falafel and brown toast, a hearty breakfast (bacon, sausage, fried egg, black pudding, mushrooms, toast and a tuna melt toastie. The vegan stir fry had tomato, mushroom, peppers and spinach. There was a touch of heat, but mild it was very tasty and filling and we were assured that the toast and butter were both vegan. I should add, I'm not vegan, but it does make a healthier option at times. The meat I the hearty breakfast was good quality- this was much better than we have had elsewhere. There's an option to make this healthier by changing the way the egg is cooked or stopping out items. And the tuna melt toasties was lovely. The atmosphere was good. We were in not long before closing, there was a cheerful feeling about the place and it felt very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Just popped in for a coffee while we were in Gedling this morning. What a lovely place and 2 lovely ladies looking after the guests. I can only eat pureed food owing to a medical condition. They were so accommodating of my problem, it made me feel so happy to be there after some of the animosity I have received in places. Also the latte and cakes were great too., we will be returning soon. Thank you ladies

Called in for breakfast and was welcomed by two lovely ladies. The breakfast was excellent and nice pot of tea, will definitely be returning soon maybe to try Sunday lunch.

Went there as a couple for breakfast, one small and one hearty. Both came with a large instant coffee but my partner opted for a latte for an extra £1.60. The meal was freshly cooked and well presented. The cafe is very clean and staff were friendly. Staff told us about Motown/soul evenings they have which sound fun and good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Love having my food there as it is excellent,always hot and nicely presented. The staff are very approachable and nothing is ever to much trouble for them they are also willing to accommodate one's needs. It is great to have such a lovely friendly place locally to go and feel a very warm welcome.

Such a lovely and quaint cafe! I was their singer for a private function. I was made to feel so very welcome. I chose a wide variety of songs and everyone had fun 🤩 It was a beautiful gig, brilliant hosts and really good and nice guests. My parents also have visited a few times and they love it too. It was OK, seems they have become a bit distracted of late. Not the special service and breakfast we got used to. Orders were mis taken, the have taken their eyes off the ball slightly.

Stayed in the city but travelled out to Gedling every morning to have the best cooked breakfast in Nottingham! All staff were so lovely and welcoming that we popped back in the evenings for drinks from the micro bar. Looking forward to coming up again soon for one of Jan’s famous roast dinners!

My husband and I were hoping for one last drink of the evening but Jan and Mick were just about to close up. They happily reset a table for us and with a great choice of reasonably priced drinks, and fantastic hosts we will definitely be visiting again.

I was lucky enough to be gifted an afternoon tea for my 50th from The Wrinkly Lettuce. I wanted to share it with my friend at home and catch up so I messaged the ladies to ask for a takeaway. They got straight back to me and it was ready to collect on the dot. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely and fresh and delicious. Thank you for a lovely afternoon made more special :-)

I called in to see Jan on Tuesday afternoon just as they were closing about the possibility of a private party for my daughter and some of her school friends to signal the start of the summer. Without hesitation, Jan said Yes, of couse!! We had 12 kids in total, all with a buffet style dinner and some prosecco and Jan's AMAZING home cooked chips for the Mums' We all had the best time and will definitely do this again Soon. (with more notice nect time Jan I promise!!) It is a fancastic, intimate venue and perfect for kids birthdays or small gatherings The staff are amazing and always have a smile on their face. I cant thank The Wrinkley Lettuce enough for pulling it out of the bag with literally no notice. FIVE STARS FROM ME!! *****

Had breakfast there today. Exactly as asked for and at a reasonable cost. Sat in the secret garden, nice and quiet,they even brought treats and a bowl of water for our pooch.

Oh my what a wonderful evening, we really enjoyed our time at the wrinkly lettuce to celebrate the present owners first year at this cafe, we have frequented this cafe a few times for meals and never been disappointed,. Tonight was brilliant, talented singer, complementary buffet, drinks flowing and as always the warm hospitality of the owners, thanks Jan and Chris we had a great night.

Travelled to Nottingham to visit friends and family. This place caters to all types of fussy eaters and they are happy to do so! Lovely atmosphere inside, everyone is friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely 10/10. Could not fault this place. Will definitely be coming back when I visit Nottingham again!

Visited Nottingham from Eastbourne.. Found this amazing cafe, Faultless food, caters for everyone. Great Atmosphere. Definitely recommend! Also they have a micro bar in the evenings at the weekend. Cheap drinks, lovely to sit in the sun and soak up the rays!!

I've been here now for both breakfast and to experience the minibar in the evening at the weekends. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and ensured covid distancing was implemented. Looking forward to coming again soon!

Met my sister for the first time today since September 2020 at The Wrinkly Lettuce in Gedling Nottingham We had a lovely breakfast, service was attentive but not intrusive, everywhere was spotlessly clean. Social distancing and current government guidelines adhered to all all times. Can’t wait to go back

Had an amazing breakfast with my mum. It was great to be able to get super tasty vegan breakfast for me and and a gluten-free breakfast for my mum. I had amazing scrambled tofu and will definitely be going back. Had nice seating area out the back and could even take the dogs which was great - they also enjoyed the breakfast and we all got a lovely welcome.

We visited as a family for breakfast and sat in the April sunshine in the rear outdoor seating area which looks like it’s brand new. Our breakfast was delicious, perfectly cooked poached eggs and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Have to mention the coffee which was so good that we had to order a second. We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

We had an afternoon tea pre ordered for mothers day and my parents wedding anniversary.Very organised with time slots and lovely variety of food including finger sandwiches, scones, pork pie, sausages rolls & selection of cakes. Finished off perfectly with 1 small bottle of Prosecco per adult.Really good amount of food as well, some saved for next days lunch!Well presented in lovely boxes, thank you
