Love the seating, the atmosphere is great too,

Had a retirement event recently, and had over 30 people in this place. The staff all looked like they could not be bothered all night and it was a chore to serve us. They called last orders at 10.30(?) and then physically forced us out at 11 on the dot with the bouncer menacingly standing over us, who was then abusive. Avoid at all costs.

Came here for a work night out and it was much more difficult than it needed to be to order and get served. Most bars and pubs in Glasgow are great at getting to everyone, but the setup of this place means you're barging elbows to try and get anything. Inside smoking area is cool though.

I booked a table with three weeks notice only for them to cancel it with just 24hrs to go. There excuse was that they have "staff issues" they say that they have the best Mac & cheese in Glasgow which is a bit pointless if no one is there to cook it. What an utter shambles!!!

Great wee pub with nice staff and fair prices. DJ is willing to take requests as well

Had a night in here for the football food was brilliant and the atmosphere matched. Football resilt wasn't great but the night was.

Very average city centre pub, fairly uninspired options on draft (cruzcampo, red stripe, Beavertown etc). Roomy enough, food ok. It’s all quite forgettable really.

Great place for a bite to eat and drink. Right next to central for easy escape home.

The attitude of The Admiral in the atmosphere of The Woods. The food is always great, and although it doesn't have the same ambience as the old Admiral, it's a great central location with top notch mac and cheese.

Attended a private function downstairs. Was a great night, friendly service and good choice of drinks.

Really enjoyed my pulled beef ciabatta, very tasty. My friends had the macaroni cheese and they thoroughly enjoyed that too. Definitely coming back to try them at some point.

Can’t comment on the food as didn’t eat any but my glass of wine was definitely off. Couldn’t drink it and couldn’t face mentioning it as the first taste made me feel sick. Pinot Grigio. Service was friendly and place fairly clean.

Nice bar. Not much changed (that I saw) from when it was just The Woods. I'll need to go for lunch sometime and see how well the Admiral's great menu travelled down the road.

Loved the pub, very good service even when it was busy. That bartender Erin was very sweet. Reminded me of my old gerbil.

The five of us had a great afternoon. Staff very attentive and prompt in serving us. Great prices for drinks and food. Thoroughly recommend anyone in that part of town to give it a visit. You shouldn’t be disappoubted

Atmosphere? Def place for local younger people!!! And NO white wine????? Made do with rose.. it was vile. Will def not visit again.

Utterly honkin. Looks at the state of these pints. The lager in the Guinness glass was their second attempt on a different lager when I knocked the Heineken back. Barman asked what was wrong with the Heineken too. May as well just give it up at this point. I understand staff try their best but they were happy to hand this dross out to several other people who looked similarly baffled.

Felt a bit like an upmarket spoonies. Better food, better drinks, people have probably had a wash, etc. We didn't eat but the food really looked great. Nice atmosphere. The one let down was the barman rubbing the top of his hand across all the straws. That's just weird and unhygienic.

We went in here for some drinks and food on Friday, I ordered the Chicken Tacos, they were ok, not a lot to them, 2 wee bits of chicken in each taco, the corn ribs were stone cold, our food order took almost 40 mins to be brought out to us, the place was really busy so maybe that had an impact. I'll try again on a not so busy Friday evening.

The pale ale was very good, nice bartender but the poxy background music?

First time visiting since it has been in the new location, and it did not disappoint. Staff really friendly, great atmosphere, and the macaroni was as good as it every was!

Stopped in for a quick drink. Stayed for some food was surprised how good the food was mac and cheese with chicken and bacon was lovely also the pizza was really good. Not over priced worth a look.

The Admiral Woods Bar has a nice and comfy atmosphere. The bar features practical function rooms for presentations. The bar sits conveniently near to the Central Glasgow train station.

I didn't eat so I can't really comment....but good beer and great (super friendly service). It's actually nothing special inside, but had a good vibe, happy buzzy Friday drinks after work ....

The merge of the two bars feels a bit mismatched, and it neither has the classic pub charm of The Admiral, or the vibe of The Woods anymore. Service wasn't particularly great, either, although it was a busy day, so that is understandable.

Food is just as good as when The Admiral was at the previous location except now it's closer to central station

We stopped in for a quick bite before we left Glasgow and had a really nice dinner. I think they recently changed owners. I had a hankering for a salad and they delivered on that hankering. Their goat cheese beetroot salad was delicious. Tons of goat cheese. I also got a side of their mac, which was very tasty. My husband got the chicken burger which he really enjoyed. The fries were great. Our server was so funny and had great recommendations.

Sad that we could not get a table at lunchtime as we had not booked, the place wasn't even busy. Shame really as we used to pop in regularly for lunch with no issues under the previous owners.

We were a party of seven looking to get a drink near the station before we all went home after a lovely day with family. My daughter went in to ser if there were tables which there were but not for seven . The bouncer was very arrogant to her saying no we couldnt get a table of four amd bring other chairs. So i went in to explain that one of the women was 88 years old and if she could sit with 3 others we would stand or bring chairs from the other empty tables of 2. It was as tho they were full. He said Naw! you cant. You can wait for a table of 7 or nothing. Not a way to run a business or turn away custom. He need to go to a customer service skills course. Defintely would not recommend

Friendly service but lacks atmosphere. Nice modern layout but feels cold, maybe lunch and less people. Food okay with good menu

When it is below 0⁰ outside (on this particular night -3⁰), it would be beneficial if at least one radiator was put on.... it was warmer outside! In the middle of December and with a World Cup game on (which was being shown on all the screens), the place was dead. I can only guess it was due to the risk of hypothermia that stopped people coming in. A pub two doors down showing the game (who had their heating on) was rammed. Decent service and OK prices hut had to leave after 2 drinks as it was sooooooooo cold.

Nice atmosphere, great smoking bit (for those who do). Drinks a bit pricey but then again everything has gone up. Would definitely go back if in that area.

Booked an area for a leaving night for about 20 people. Area was really good as place was very busy. Great atmosphere, service and food was great value. Would definitely recommend for a good night out in Glasgow. Super close to Central Station which is an added bonus.

Nice wee pub, hidden in the city. Always fantastic service from whole team. The manageress Lynne is always so welcoming and friendly! Recommend popping by for a wee afternoon cocktail or two.

Birthday celebrations rather quite when we first went in. There were 12 of us. A bit later it filled up had a great night and mixed with the other patrons. Staff were very welcoming friendly and great service

Went for lunch around half one and the place was quite quiet but this might have missed the lunch crowd. Staff were friendly and took our order quickly. Did not have to wait long for food although I never received a water which had been offered. Food itself was very good and for the price it is value for money. Would go back again for food and I am sure it will have more of an atmosphere when busy. Close to central station so good place if meeting people or if you have a wait for a train.

Good size bar for a night out for a leaving colleague. Soulless and expensive for a drink with a mate

Visited Glasgow for Easter. I booked a Table for the night. And was looking forward to our visit. Having been shown to our table , a staff member came and took our order. We were not informed if anything on the menu was not available , so picked what we would like. While the waitress went off , we went to the bar to order our Drinks. On returning to our table we were informed that our order was not available, so we had to order something else. Which we did. Only for 5 minutes later the waitress returned to tell us that this item was off the menu too. So just so we could eat something we ordered a Pizza. Eventually we managed to eat something , but not really what we wanted. We decided to order another drink through a member of staff , while at our table. I paid with cash, but did not receive my change , and in the end had to ask for it to be returned. And just to finish off our UNFORGETTABLE night , a Fight broke out . What a night.

Was given the Menu ,we ordered, looking forward to it.To then be told ten mins later that they no longer had what we had ordered. A fight then broke out , staff done there best to stop . And then to cap the night off . Having paid the Bill , I had to ask a member of staff for my change .

Pretty standard bar. The pints are priced £4 to £5, choice of 5 beers. The music is upbeat and generic. It can get pretty busy. Mixed crowd.

Good price for drinks at a city centre pub

Staff were very friendly and the price of drinks was very reasonable for a city centre pub with change out of £9.00 for a pint of Moretti and a Morgans and lemonade. The chairs could be doing with being recovered.

Quite frankly I have never been treated to such poor customer service in my life. After having an alright night we purchased our last drinks at 11:25pm. The closing time is 12pm. Shortly after we were shouted at by one of the woman working there to "Move our arses". We couldn't believe what we had heard but clearly this is the low standard they have set for themselves. When we explained to one bar man that we had just bought the drink he said we need to shut but that we could have 10 more minutes to finish our drink. We took that and told them they should update their times online. After agreeing this with that barman, the other one came up and told me to "get out ya cow". Obviously shocked, I asked him his name to make a complaint. He refused to provide this so I spoke to a woman who seemed like the manager that night and she had no intention of disciplining him for his foul language. While we were gathering our things he shouted from the bar "F*** off". The manager continued to ignore him and instead led us to the door. After leaving a review on Facebook the barman who earlier refused to tell us his name after being so foul mouthed liked the review. Jordan Thomson is his name. Extremely unprofessional from himself and all who were working that night. Will not be back again and have told others not to go either.

Totally great place to relax and great atmosphere too.. Most importantly tho... the staff were amazing and had such great time. As hospitality is taking so much a hit... I thought it only fair...they were rewarded...so visit here and see how a proper bar should be... ... enjoyed the special attention to details... ...a must visit in Glasgow

Had a Xmas night last night 3rd December. Brilliant atmosphere lovely food and amazing staff so friendly and approachable couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back.Thanks to all the staff.

A bit soulless tbh, music wasn't too bad but my wife pointed out that the staff were pouring short measures and photographed it being done. The bar staff also seemed to be trying to put a head on pints of cider. I won't be back.

Brilliant birthday lunch. Bar person (fab lady with red hair) was brilliant, really friendly and couldn't do enough. Other guy was quite aloof but she made up for it.
