Costa Coffee in Glasgow City

Manager needs to up his game. Tables are rarely cleaned never mind the floors, seating and surrounding areas..

Gluten free options Service can be slow if busy but staff helpful. Layout could be better

Light, bright and airy Costa coffee. Nice modern interior and lots of tables and areas to sit. Coffee and food bang average but it’s never crazy busy and the car park is always useable.

Great atmosphere friendly . The only problem there is not a good lay out for disabled people in wheelchair after you have been the counter it becomes a nightmare and no staff will help and have to depend on other customers to navigate you out with hot drinks etc .

Really meh Costa coffee, I preferred the café Nero.

This place has the most unbearable smell of urine across the whole store, from the second you walk in, till you leave.

Horrible smell of urine. I would avoid at all costs. Quality of cakes very poor. Coffee is ok. Staff friendly. But the smell is unbearable.

The smell is so horrendous I had to leave , couldn’t stand waiting in the queue as the smell made me feel sick. I feel so sorry for the staff who have to put up with that smell all day , not great working conditions!

Foul smelling, for months now. Unless you are simply popping in and (quickly) out for takeaway I would avoid and go to one of the numerous other coffee shops in the area. Very pleasant, helpful staff but wow! What a terrible smelling place.

Not the cleanest costa i,ve been in,coffee was fine

Used to be good. I am a regular there. But lately service is very very poor , some of the staff have not clue what a coffee is or how to make it. Need training. Slow service. And last few weeks the smell of drains/ toilets are just impossible to even walk in? Please close the shop and sort it out.

Really foul smell the past few months and it is getting worse. Mainly at the service counter but emanating across whole cafe. Can’t bear it anymore.

Nice busy place with a good atmosphere. My only real gripes are that there's not a lot of food choices on offer and that I prefer McDonalds Coffee which is around a third cheaper to buy.Staff were pleasant enough and most tables and the floors were clean.

I visit this store often for hot drinks and believe I am a loyal customer to Costa branches. But today, I visited this store and must say the service was atrocious. The male barista needs training on handling food and cross contamination as it was evident he lacked expertise in this area. I ordered a tuna melt which was lifted by the same utensils as a toastie with meat in it. When I questioned this barista he said all products are picked up with the same utensils. And that the products are already half cooked and go into the same oven. I accept, products are heated in the same oven but that does not mean you use the same utensils to pick up my vegetarian toastie with that he just used to lift a meat toastie. My tuna toastie was also cut with the same knife used to cut a steak toastie. Is there any reason why Costa have a utensil with a green band?? Is that not for the vegan/vegetarian products?? I wish I had left my toastie in store as I just ended up throwing it in the bin due to this incident. I will definitely not be back at Costa with my custom and was very disappointed with this service. I believe the staff should have better training and be understanding of their customers requirements and allergies in the near future.

Maybe I was there at an unlucky time but the service was very poor and the whole experience is not one I would race to repeat. Shame as this used to be a nice place to go

They simply cannot make a coffee here to save their lives. A Cappuccino is just a cup of foam. Even Cafe Nero give their staff enough basic training to make a passable cap. I avoid Costa at all costs!

Staff here needs better training how to do a proper mocha or capuchino. Getting ratios awful

Was confused, orderd tea, sat down with it on table. Went to use washroom then came back and my tea was gone. Didn't want to make a big deal so just left.

I can't remember being here recently which sums it up. Costa is a safe place to meet people but don't expect anything memorable. Some of the drinks are nice but do be careful they can be very sweet and fattening. Also the joke Costa Lota or Costa Packet was thought up for a reason. Also I spoke to baristas, it didn't take years to learn the job as they claim so I'm guessing it's an excuse to give the people lower pay but I don't work there so can't confirm.

Excellent service and care. I am a wheelchair user and staff are always very helpful and kind. The food is lovely too

The woman behind counter serving customers is extremely rude. Very forceful & literary shouts at the customers. Not a pleasant experience!

Staff are friendly, service is quick a wide choice of coffees and cakes to take out or sit in.

I been there for cup of coffee to seating but the cup it's so dirty I told the staff to change but he didn't and I try to drink my coffee unfortunately I couldn't.Because of this situation for covid 19 they have to care more but they didn't.

Dark dinghy coffee dungeon. Went in but decided to leave and glad I did.
