The Wigmore Fish & Chips Restaurant in Luton

4 of us went there last night. Staff very attentive & polite. Food was fabulous. Cooked to perfection. Can't wait to get my family to come next time also more friends. The 2 young guys that served us were like a breath of fresh air. So helpful and courteous.

Booked online for a table of 2 drove the 40 mins to get there to be told they don’t have a table for us . Wasted journey

Barbara and her team are absolutely outstanding, polite, friendly, welcoming and always happy to look after you. The food is always exceptional, super tasty and always hot! Love this place, would and have recommended to anyone and everyone! 10/10 every single time! A special shout out to Angel with the memory of a mega computer and got our order spot on!

Above and beyond Restaurant specialising in fish and chips but other menu options are available. Excellent service, I had Cod and Chips which was delicious and ample in size. Reasonably priced, licensed, great atmosphere loved it 👍

Severely overpriced.£30 per person for just fish and chips ( that’s with NO DRINKS);fish batter was soggy and some chips were burnt ends and scarce.Very Small portions ( literally 2 tablespoons each) of curry sauce and mushy peas at £4, and not worth the price. Will not be returning .

We w et as group of 8 work colleagues and had a truly disappointing experience. After waiting over an hour for our food, we were left frustrated and hungry. The staff members seemed overwhelmed and were instructed to handle our complaints without any support from management, who couldn’t even be bothered to come and speak with us directly. One of my friends eventually decided to leave with a takeaway rather than continue waiting, which speaks volumes about how unacceptable the service was. Overall, the entire experience left a terrible taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. I will not be returning again.

These were the tastiest fish and chips I've had in forever. Hot chunky chips, crispy onion rings, which tasted even better cold, and delicious, fresh, flaky crispy-battered cod. I was impressed by the eco-friendly cardboard containers the food came in. It kept everything piping hot. My friend and I planned getting a takeaway from the Wigmore Fish Restaurant a regular event.

Amazing ambience with a warm and cozy atmosphere! This place offers a perfect blend of British and Greek cuisine, and the food is always of great quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. There’s also a lovely terrace area to enjoy your meal outdoors. Plus, the bar serves a great variety of drinks. Definitely a must-visit spot!

Popped in with a mate for a coffee and quick bite. Got there before luck it was empty, by the time we got our food it was really filling up. Staff we're lovely, food was good. Took a picture of a rose latte as never had one before looked like a cocktail. Oddly nice if you like Turkish a must try

First visit. Lovely spacious restaurant. Attentive and helpful staff , good natured, happy and helpful . The food was delicious I had Scampi and chips. Good portions. Delicious home made desserts. Looking forward to going back.

Absolutely delicious. We came with a group and they were very accommodating. Great service. Food was fresh and full of flavour. I ordered the pork chops. Probably one of the best pork chops I have eaten. My husband had the souvlaki. Felt like we were back in cyprus. Thank you to everyone there. Will be coming back again.

This is a nice fish and chips diner next door to the Wigmore Arms pub. The food is good and the portions are more than ample. I've also visited to simply have a couple of pints, you can sit on the elevated tables near the bar and down a few without having to have dinner. It wasn't particularly busy when we arrived but had picked up by the time we were leaving .

Had a booking for ‘brunch’ and was told that half of the menu isn’t available when we got there. Rang up prior to the booking and was told they cater for gluten free. When we got there I asked if they had a gluten free menu to be told no they don’t really do gluten free - I then opted for vegan breakfast but substitute the sausages for chips and they still brung out the original meal and I had to tell them to remake it as my plate was cross contaminated. No understanding of food allergies and was quite rude when trying to figure out what I could actually eat. Wouldn’t go back.

Second time buying from there first time it was like the fish had been on hot plate far too long as batter was so hard and fish was very dry second time waited a good few weeks and we tried again thinking maybe first time was a one off bad experience but no we were wrong yet again was hard batter and dried fish which was ment to be fresh cook so if not dried up from hot plate it definately has been over cooked i can clearly say there wont be a third time and definately would not recomend this place to anyone not only that the prices are overpriced on the food and the drinks

Chicken souvlaki tastes smoked almost like paprika and nothing like it should taste. Chips just tasted greasy. Such a shame the food use to be so good

I had an amazing dining experience at this wonderful restaurant! Barbara, the owner, is so warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great variety and top-notch quality. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Been here several times and always a good visit. Food is lovely, portion sizes are great, restaurant and toilets are always clean. Staff and service are both excellent. Can’t really fault this place

The fish batter was hard not crispy, chips were cold and hard as well, could have been from earlier in the day and reheated . We didn’t enjoy it!!

Visited for the first time today and will definitely be back! Opted for the cheeseburger which was served in a brioche bun. Perfectly cooked with a generous portion of chips. Well worth the money!

The best fish and chips we’ve had in Luton

The best roast dinner you can ever eat in Luton, in a unique high class decor restaurant. You are immediately greeted by polite and professional staff; with an amazing family atmosphere. The food is michelin star, however with good size portions, we also had an extra side dish of cod which was impeccable. This is the best overall restaurant I have been too in the uk, u will not be disappointed

First time having the Sunday roast since it has been back and did not disappoint. 2 courses £27.50. Cauliflower starter amazing who thought the humble cauliflower could taste so good. Roast sirloin beef was delicious all hot and tasty with delicious gravy and super tender thick slices of beef. Great treat and on our doorstep definitely recommend

Wigmore Fish Restaurant is a lovely place to eat. Their Fish and Chips are excellent. Their takeaway is just as delicious.

Visited last night for mother in law's 70th birthday; family meal. Lovely welcome upon arrival. Food and drink always very good and great selection too. We visited the Wigmore on Saturday and not only was the food delicious - I would definitely recommend the Cod bites, the service was excellent too! We were a party of four and one of our guests who is in very poor health also has very limited mobility issues, but it was her birthday so this was a mini celebration for her. The service from the staff was excellent! They couldn't do enough to help us. We are so grateful for their patience and kindness. We are only sorry we didn't think to get the names of the individual girls who looked after us. Thank you to all on duty on Saturday 24th at the lunchtime session. We would certainly recommend this restaurant for both food and service.

I came here with a friend yesterday. Callum greeted us and he was very polite and professional. We ordered fish and chips and the food was lovely and hot. The best we've had. The waitress who served us was very nice too. The interior of the restaurant is calm and relaxing and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend.

This place is wonderful! Took my mum for her birthday and the vibes were great! Giselle and Roxanna were kind and attentive, very friendly, and fulfilled my request for an off-menu cocktail! The food was quick and the quality was amazing! Simplicity done perfectly.

Fish was not cooked fresh had a very burnt and bitter taste like the oil was not chamged in the fryer for a long time chips also was burnt Food was not cooked when I had collected my order as soon as my order was placed within two minutes the food was cooked :/

You had put Everyones names on each box, and labelled each big box with the table numbers. You were so friendly, helpful and organised. Wedding fun foods at a very good price. Thankyou so much for a first class service.

Superb fish & chip restaurant + a number of other dishes. Licensed bar. Have visited a number of times & will be returning in the near future. A senior citizen special offer is a great idea & very popular with the elderly. I would recommend booking as the restaurant does get booked up. Take care where you park as there are various parking bays for different businesses.

The Wigmore special is great food and really worth the money. I've never had frickles before but I'm definitely a fan!

After using the take away shop a few times we decided to try the restaurant. It's lovely to be able to sit down and eat in. A good menu and although the staff took our orders there is an option to scan the QR code and order to the table. Food nice and not badly priced considering the price of fish and chips these days. The only downside is the two times we have visited recently we have been seated at a table near the big table by the front door that seats a lot of people. Both times large and loud groups have been in making it very difficult to talk and hear the person next too me. This did ruin our experience a bit. In future we may book and ask for a table nearer the back. Lots of seating though and a few tables outside too

Delicious food, substantial portions, and for very reasonable prices. We had the haddock and chips, the Wigmore Classic, the chicken burger, and sharing starter of calamari. The calamari was tender and delicious, but we probably wouldn't have ordered it if we knew how generous the portions are! Come and visit and you won't be disappointed.

Fish and chip were stale, dry and chewy - not fresh. Not enjoyable at all. Considering restaurant is just over 5 mins away it’s not acceptable.

I visit often here, and the service is always very good. We always tip the team because they worked hard and deserve it. The food is fantastic. Most staff are very friendly. But a few days ago, when we entered the restaurant, they asked for reservations, which was very professional, but they focused more on customers with reservations. We requested a specific table that we always have, but I asked if that table was reserved. The waiter just ignored us and placed us on the table next to it, and we moved to the table that we requested (there was no sign informing us that it was reserved), and she just said that it was reserved and gave us a side look. We offered to move back, but she left; not even drinks were taken. On the other side, there was a very nice lady (not sure if she was African; sorry if not) who requested to take our drinks, but I said that we were going to leave. She got worried, but regarding the young waiter, we didn’t feel comfortable or welcome at the restaurant. But thank you for all the service Day of visit: 10/4

very happy with everything from Wigmore Restaurant always the best

This is the second week that the fish and chips were delivered 25minutes late and as a result the food was cool, not good enough from an expensive quality restaurant. Not happy I think we should bet a refund.

I was made to feel very welcome. As soon as I walked in. Everybody was very pleasant. The food arrived within minutes of ordering, and it was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t fault Anything?

I visited the wigmore restaurant recently for mine and my brothers 18th birthday and to say that my experience was outstanding is an understatement, the staff where absolutely amazing and attentive, the beautiful cake that I received for the owner Barbara was absolutely incredible, it was personally designed I can say that it really had me lost for words on how incredible it really was. I would 100% recommend coming to this restaurant and getting a cake for a celebration or even just coming for a meal with family and friends. I’d just like to say again a massive thankyou to Barbara and all the staff that served us, safe to say everyone had such an amazing time and couldn’t fault anything.
