We ordered a chicken bacon and cheese sandwich plus a baked potato with chilli. The sandwich was dry, fries really not great and the chilli and baked potato lacked any flavour. On the bright side, the desserts and coffe were good!

Overpriced cafe for low quality food. Baked potato was dry . Chips with the panini weren't cooked properly. Panini was dry and didn't taste good. On plus side the cakes were good. So maybe would recommend to go for coffee and cake.

I like this cafe because of the amazing view of the park, and because I love visiting this Art Gallery. Be aware that despite closing times being shown as 5pm, food service stops at 3:30pm.

Amazing restaurant design with great view of the green park. Their mocha was top notch, not much the savory dishes. Super bland and needed way more salt. The pork was dried without any seasoning besides applesauce. The price is on a more affordable side.

Absolute shambles every time we visit -to the point where its comedic and expected. Come for an authentic Faulty Towers style experience! No organisation. Tables filthy and not cleaned. Discarded food under the tables. Tableware and cutlery are no more - only takeaway boxes and wooden knives and fork that snap with the slightest pressure. Cakes and treats at the counter left out in the open to be sniffed and sneezed over by queuing diners. Orders might take a quarter of an hour to make but no table service - you must stand and wait in the same area people are queuing until your number is called. Meanwhile others in the queue are confused about whether youre in the queue or just waiting. Ordered vegetarian flatbread, get to the table and it's chicken stew. Go back to change it - met with confusion and no one seems to be in control. It's such a shame because the space itself is stunning and holds such potential! With skilled staff and management, organisation, table service, silverware and crockery, it could be one of the best spots in Manchester! But for now- Avoid!

It's a quaint cafe in the centre of Manchester, the view is amazing overseeing the park. In summers, they even have seating arrangement outside. I had huge expectations from the food but unfortunately did not enjoy it much. We were a group of 10 women. Everyone ordered something different. The sandwiches are okay for the price but the hot chocolate I felt was overpriced and not the best ones. The chocolate cake looked like it was readymade and not baked in house. The service was good though.

I love this cafe... however, the music today was just too loud for an early morning. It doesn't suit the nature of the cafe or the view and the beauty of the park. With the distracting music and the people talking over it or singing loudly to it, it didn’t have its peaceful ambience. For a people who need some quiet sometimes, it was sensory overload this morning 🤯 I know that this isn't a library and that there are some quiet spaces here in The Whitworth, however this used to be a place where I could sit indoors, have nice food and take in the surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of this thing called life. Got nothing against music, just would be better to play something relaxing, or classical or even no music for the first hour, 90 mins/2 hours

Food was ok, place was top notch and staff was mostly friendly, except for the super tall cashier guy who was quite rude and kept intimidating staring at our table while we were there. The experience overall was good. One of my favorite place in town.

Looks great but very poor food Second time Ive come for breakfast, second time Ive been disappointed. First time, deep fried hard sausage, so had a bacon muffin this time, two small fatty bits of bacon for £6.50 is a joke, and on complaining to the waitress got a shrug, asked her to pass it on to the chief, no response. It may be a stunning setting but the food is over priced and poorly cooked!

What a great find! We stumbled upon this coffee shop while visiting the gallery, and I'm so glad we did. They offer a wonderful selection of cakes and pastries, and I couldn't resist indulging in a slice of cake as well. The atmosphere is lovely and serene, and the views are simply superb. I particularly appreciated the availability of high chairs for babies, which is definitely a plus for families. Overall, a delightful experience that I would highly recommend.

Lovely location and food, appalling service. Despite prebooking a large table all of our food came at different times which to some extent is expected as you order at different times. One member of our parties food never turned up, despite being one of the first to be ordered and had to be asked for twice. The manager refused to authorise a refund despite the fact that this was clearly an error on the cafes party and the meal had been forgotten and the staff member speaking to us (who initally agreed to a refund) was incredibly rude and very dismissive of the poor experience and only excuse was that there was only one chef on. While this might explain slow service this didn't explain why one meal was forgotten and there was no apology. Sadly this ruined the experience and our work christmas meal.

It's a great space with a nice relaxing atmosphere but unfortunately, the food is sub par and the service is very slow. I ordered a flatbread which was to come with salad and chips as a side. Mine came 15-20 minutes after the person I ordered with. Mine came cold and without the salad or chips. The chips came 15 minutes after and the salad never came. The food was something I'd expect from a kebab takeaway but with restaurant prices - it was so much better a few years back when they used to do proper brunch.

Amazing design, beautiful autumnal views. But the rubbery stale salmon and cream cheese bagel with dripping yogurt (not cream cheese) and dripping over-dressed salad spoilt what should have been a wonderful experience.

Really lovely food but we didn’t have a good experience. We went on a busy ish Saturday afternoon and waited thirty minutes for two teas and an hour for food. When we asked about the order someone apologised about a printing error but then we still waited another half an hour. The waiter mumbled a half apology when they brought it. For the price of it, was pretty disappointing service.

I think the cafe has a calming presence. On a sunny day, I would really enjoy drinking a hot cup of coffee. I tried the Jerk Chicken Rice Bowl which was *Halal*. Make sure to ask at the counter is the chicken is halal or not since it is not mentioned on the menu. You do have to prepare yourself to wait in a queue for a while specially in weekends. And the last time you can order food is by 3. Nonetheless, I loved the portion size as well and will definitely visit again.

A hidden escape right in the middle of Manchester City! We adore this stunning green escape. @thewhitworthcafe is made entirely out of glass and steel. The restaurant provides 360deg views while you enjoy a beautiful lunch. We ordered the Rose Lemonade (pro tip: ask for a glass with a slice of lemon in it for extra lux). Our food included the Nourish Bowl with Chicken (£9.50) and Roast Pepper & Artichoke Barbakan Sourdough Sandwhich (6.95). We thought they matched each other perfectly and loved sharing both of these options. We’d describe the food as very fresh tasting and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It would be perfect for a warm summers day or just a meal full of goodness. The best part of this restaurant, is by far the views. It’s peaceful and scenic whilst protected from the elements. We visited @thewhitworthcafe on a glorious sunny day and we’d love to go again when it was raining to experience the pitter patter of rain drops around you (without getting wet). Our biggest tip would be to book a table and ask for one in the far corner for optimum experience with uninterrupted views. You can find this beautiful cafe on Oxford Rd, in Whitworth Gallery (opposite MRI). UKFOODBESTIES (Insta or Tiktok) Yumminess: 💖💖💖💖🤍 Instagramability:💖💖💖🤍🤍 Vibe: 💖💖💖💖💖 Service: 💖 💖🤍🤍🤍 Price: ££

It is a lovely cafe over looking the park but it is a shame about the service. I waited over 20 minutes for 2 coffees, when there was no one in front of me in the queue. We came today with our 2.5 year old and from the moment we got to the "wait to be seated" entrance the staff were just rude, the guy said no tables available. Rather than say but in 20mins there is I had to ask oh when would there be any availability .. then he said oh in 20mins... 🤷🏻♀️ came back after 20mins and went to order seem annoyed that yet another customer had asked for a latte. The Food was wack daddy! For £37 was very disappointed, specially as my daughter's was very over cooked. I felt in a way to ask for a drink that I ordered 2 of and only received one.. again rude staff when I asked for the other drink. The cafe at the Whitworth is the highlight of a splendid restoration of the whole building. It's a modern glass design, jutting out into the park so that you're surrounded by trees. Absolutely outstanding food. My friends had the English Breakfast and I had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - I have hardly stopped thinking about it since and can't wait to go back again! In a beautiful light and spacious setting too. My friends thought the breakfast was one of the best they'd had and it looked like it... I was envious of them before mine came out, however there was a significant delay between mine and theirs with no apology and a poor excuse ("it's being made fresh"... Well so was everything, wasn't it?) In fact I'd say they forgot and it was just sat on the pass because it was barely warm. Poor service is highly frustrating, but poor service, no acknowledgement and a clear lie... very disappointing. Two stars less for a begrudged service which negatively impacted our experience. The food however is still 100% worth going for.

The service & staff were pleasant. The food was little better than mediocre. The most outstanding aspect of this experience of eating at Greggs, Cherry St Birmigham was the filthy condition. There were straws on the seats. Servietes on the floor and ripped up sugar containers, all littering the floor. The place wasn't that big and would only have taken 3 or 4 minuets to clean. I asked how they can serve people food in such a dirty environment. I was told they were too busy to clean. I said what about the 2 people in the back, that I could clearly see. She siad do you want to go and ask them? I declined. They have got their priorities wrong. Clean first, serve food second, but then I suppose it's all about making money. I certainly won't go back, and nor will I go to another Greggs.
