We had a great meal and experience last night. The chicken tagine was mouthwatering!! The gammon was delicious. The service was great!!!

Great pub. Food arrived quickly and was hot.

Me and my partner have eaten here quite a few times now and the food and service has always been amazing. The staff are brilliant and they also offer a takeaway service, which is perfect if you want to eat at home but don't feel like cooking. The only slight downside would be the parking when it gets slightly busier, however, a space has always opened up after a few minutes

I found the white Hart as a last minute option and was so pleased I fell on my feet. Loved this stop over, food wS great and a good selection of beers Room was clean warm and functional No complaints.

Roast beef was very tough and tasteless and the veg undercooked. Desserts were ok. May return not sure.

Booked for a party of 6 for lunch. Despite not being very busy, service was rather slow. I had to return my fish due to something not very nice inside it. I think it was a lump of batter that wasn't cooked. The replacement came and it was dripping oil onto the table. The whole plate was very oily. I had a couple of mouthfuls but it really wasn't pleasant. The others in the party weren't entirely happy either. When the table was cleared we mentioned all of this to the man who cleared so he was aware of our dissatisfaction. We all had desserts, again not brilliant. There was no offer of discount when we paid, although I said I didn't feel that I should pay for my main course as I had been unable to eat either one that they served. I ended up paying just for mely dessert. Definitely won't be returning.

Delicious Sunday roast, including vegetarian option. Bit of a wait but worth it. Plenty of fresh veg and good service. Recommend it.

Delicious food excellent service

The Pub is modern with plenty of seating. The restaurant food was very nice and would highly recommend the homemade Bakewell Tart. Staff are vey pleasant and eager to help. Nice selection of Beers and Wines. Outs side there is some seating over looking the fields and it looks like in the warmer weather there is a BBQ. We also stayed in one of the rooms which was very clean and presentable. Coffee and tea available in the room. Breakfast can be pre ordered the night before if required. Dogs are made very welcome and can stay with you in the accommodation. Ev charging point is available on request. Free Wifi, good reception within the pub but in the accommodation outside there was no wifi in our room. We would certainly recommend this to our friends and family.

Popped in for a meal with family, atmosphere was great, staff were very attentive and accommodating. Food was fantastic, we have been here several times now and will be going again.

The place was very nice and the meal was nice, it would of been very good if only we had a bit more on our plates, the service was good, but my pudding was not fresh, I had a hot chocolate browny but it was not as soft as it should have been but it was ok, apart from that it was good.

Had a lovely meal with my nephews. Lovely food (steaks and burgers) the ginger creme brulee was delicious! Really nice atmosphere and our big dog was made welcome and had a couple of biscuits 🤗 Thank you

Excellent meal, good value and very friendly. Enjoyable evening. Would definitely recommend. Update - Visited again Oct. 2023 my meal, fish and chips was excellent and piping hot however other members of the party were disappointed the Crispy Chilli Beef was not very hot, the Turkey special was not great, bland, with large piece of turkey skin which was chewy and the meal lacked colour being served with mash, perhaps some green vegetables or even a little coloured garnish would help. Food, other than the fish and chips was also not very warm. The Ginger Creme Brulee was cold and had very little ginger taste similarly the shortbread lacked ginger flavour.

Our favourite local place to eat. The food is always great with superb service and atmosphere. On top of this, an excellent choice of well kept beers.

The Sunday Roast Beef was excellent, but only one roast spud each? We were at the back end of the long Sunday lunchtime session though.

Drove up from Kent to see my 15 year old daughter and we booked for steak night. Food was very good, good atmosphere and the service was excellent. Great value and the staff very friendly. Worth the trip and would definitely recommend this pub. David

Fantastic food, I had the burger which was brilliantly seasoned, perfectly juicy and spot on meat to bun ratio, rosemary fries are always crisp and moreish (not your run of the mill burger meal). My wife had roast pork which she described as perfectly cooked, well risen yorkshires and parsnip puree was a nice touch to add to a sunday roast. I did however, feel let down by the service. Initially service was good, but waited about 30 mins after finishing mains before getting up from the table and settling at the bar. During waiting 30 mins, other tables around us were cleared and dessert menus were offered to them. We would have stayed for desserts but felt ignored so settled and left. Waitresses passed us more than several times without offering to clear/offer dessert menus. I understand Sundays are busy but as above, tables around us were still cleared fairly promptly after they finished.

First time here for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent as was the service. Atmosphere easy and informal. Good value for money.

Pensioners Tuesday perfect sized meal for £10.00. Only downside is car park is small.

Six of us went for lunch here. Great service and generous portions. The fish, scampi and the puddings were lovely. The burgers were a little disappointing but don't let that put you off.

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst working in the area and was more than happy once checked in. Superb room. Clean, comfortable & spacious. Great shower. The bar and restaurant was a real treat after a long day. Great menu & specials selection and every dish I had for dinner was delicious. Great selection of beers and every member of staff was brilliant. I also had 2 breakfasts which were superb. It’s in a beautiful village with a beautiful field out the back. I would happily stay here again if working in the area.

Good quality food, fab range of real Ales, well stocked gin bar. Oh and lovely people, what's not to like. Highly recommended.

Although we live in the village we haven't used the pub for 16 years! We walked over last weekend and the food was fresh and very tasty. The plates were stacked high....I couldn't finish mine despite wanting too! A great last minute decision to eat locally.

Friendly, lovely garden with field views, treats and water for Doggo and he's allowed inside too, bit too early for lunch, but the menu looked good, will come back again post dog walk.

Visited here with my partner for a Sunday roast. It was an overall good experience. Nice atmosphere. Welcoming and friendly staffs. Menu was straightforward and well highlighted(no unnecessary dilly dallying). Food was good. We had the "Roast Sirloin of Beef served pink & Yorkshire Pudding with Roast Potatoes, Mixed Buttered Vegetables, Cauliflower Cheese, Butternut Squash Puree & Gravy". It was well presented and definitely smelt and tasted good. I always go for the simple ice cream when it comes to dessert, but I decided to give the "Lemon Parfait,raspberry jam,lime and tequila sorbet" a try and it was definitely lovely. Food was so good, myself and my partner decided to drop our plan to eat and run, and decided to pay.
