The service was 10/10, so was the food! My partner and I were coming down from Dingwall and wanted to find somewhere to eat and we found this place, the server was lovely, the food was so fresh and well done. Unfortunately wasn’t as busy as it should be as it was lovely!

We just stopped at Forres because we needed a rest and lunch on our journey from Ullapool to Aberdeen. Had a quick look for restaurants on the web and saw that there were two in Tolbooth St. The first one we came to looked pretty full, so we went on to the White Hart. Pleasantly surprised by the non-standard menu and the fact that smaller (and cheaper) versions of the evening menu were available for lunch. We had Latvian Goulash with mashed spud. Good food and really friendly service.

Arrived without booking. Easy parking and spaces for disabled, and parent and child. Warm welcome upon entry and pleasant surroundings. Fairly wide choice of food; mid-price range. Activity sheets for younger children. Wholesome food and skinny chips - tasty! OK - chef may have forgotten to put cheese on the burger and deliver lemon for the battered haddock and scampi but these omissions were quickly remedied. I think vegan options were available too and gluten-free choice was possible. Potential allergens in dishes served were listed separately. Bar facility.

Came here a few years ago and was underwhelmed with the food.roll on a few years later since it's changed hands and the reviews looked positive we went for lunch for a birthday treat. All the food came out hot and plentiful, and with drinks the bill was very reasonable.it was a lovely afternoon and our waitress ( the only one) that day was warm friendly and a delight.we were all impressed and will be back.keep it up white hart!

Popped in as didn't realise this restaurant had reopened under new owners. The food was excellent and plentiful. Really friendly staff and would certainly recommend. They didn't rush us and we enjoyed our meal very much. We will be back when in Forres. Wishing the business all the best for the future.

Went last night for the first time to have a Christmas meal with friends. What a fantastic night we all had. From entering the White Hart until we left, we all had the most amazing time. The premises are beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. I really appreciated the temperature inside as it was minus 4 degrees outside. The meals were absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and all the staff couldn't have been more warm, welcoming and so accommodating to us all. The value for money was outstanding and I applaud this business for giving us all such a super night. I highly recommend the White Hart to anyone. I will most definitely be back. Thanks to all staff who gave us such an enjoyable evening and contributing to some great memories.

Great place great food friendly staff nothing is too much trouble. Food is delicious, this is our new favourite place. Could you please serve chips with steak instead of french fries they go with a burger not steak . Millie the waitress and staff that run the place work very hard and give 100% to their customers. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. They like to know what the customers want and do their best to fulfil it. Lovely clean establishment. We had the Christmas roast dinner , 1 had steak and one the sea bass . All meals came and was enjoyed by everyone. I would 100% recommend going here for a meal it’s going to be hard to find another place as accommodating and with such tasty meals. We will be going often. Please just get normal chips onion rings and peas with the Steak 🥩 and mushrooms of course. Thank you for yet another great night .

Was looking forward to supporting somewhere new locally but won't be rushing back. Got handed the wrong menu twice by the waitress, when my food came in a bowl with a big crack/chip of ceramic missing out of the bowl I mentioned this to the waitress and she she said 'oh yeah sorry' and simply walked away from the table. The other person serving was possibly the owner/manager but was scruffily dressed in trainers/jeans and a jumper. There was a lovely wooden type bookshelf within the restaurant area that mostly seemed to be filled with random objects/clutter. The women's toilets were smelly and despite the last cubicle being out of action/full of cleaning stuff and a boiler, the door was open so it looked untidy. The food was 'okay' but absolutely won't be considering going back here. The Bonnie Beastie right across the roads is miles better in every way. IT generally felt like they couldn't be bothered with customer service / experience at The White Hart.

I bought lunch here today and really wish I hadn’t bothered, the soup was supposed to be cream of mushroom but was anything but creamy. It was this with really large pieces of mushroom which were difficult to eat with a spoon. The cheese scone was a strange colour and had a really weird taste. It used to be a great place to eat but was sold recently and is to be avoided. I will not return!

Lovely bustling cafe by the harbour, which always has a good selection of simple fish dishes for brunch and lunch. Burgers and steaks are also available. The food is very good and the service superb. We always come for lunch when we're in Lossiemouth.

Tannochbrae is a must in your stay in Dufftown. James and Louis run a top notch B&B and restaurant. Make reservations. Come a tad early and have a drink and a dram in their cozy sitting room. Order from the sitting room and will be seated when your food is ready. The food is fresh, local, and very very good. Take your time and enjoy this elegant Scottish experience. Save room for dessert!
