I've visited The White Bull to eat twice in 6 weeks whilst working in the area on separate trips. Both visits were excellent. Friendly staff, food is excellent for the money. Although the burger was so good the first time, I ordered exactly the same the second!

Went for Sunday lunch with my husband and the dog. I'm always very fussy about a roast dinner as my hubby makes the best, but I can honestly say this was a very close 2nd. Dinner was amazing

We came here for Sunday lunch this evening. Food was absolutely delicious (although they were out of ham which was disappointing!). The wine was also very good. Service was attentive. We would definitely recommend. Thank you. X

Called at the White bull for a Sunday lunch and was served up with the most horrible food imagable, what was supposed to be honey roast gammon was no more than a thin rasher of dryed up bacon alongside a burnt carrot and a soggy Yorkshire pudding the gravy was thick and lumpy and the veg was hard and cold. It was the worst Sunday lunch I've had in 30 years

The food was beautiful. We forgot to take photo's of the main courses, as our attention was elsewhere. The young girl who was working the bar & restaurant, coped very well with a rather rowdy, overly demanding group of diners, who were somewhat crowding her at times. This affected the rest of the diner's and you could see that 'us older' diners, where watching out for her. Thankfully, she didn't need anyone to intervene, which was good to see.

Came here for a few beers and food. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The building is nice. My only complaint was the food, it was tasty but for the price I paid there was not very much and ended up needing something later.

Could be much better without too much work... Food was ok but expensive for what it is. The staff allso didnt apply the discount noted in the menu...its poor if customers have to ask for this, or ask for their bill to be corrected. When we went there were x4 cash pumps but none had any ale on (one or two were being cleaned, but these could easily be managed to ensure at least one or two are always live). The building lacks the cosy pub feel, its very bare, lots of hard surfaces, no plush soft furnishings. Service was...somewhat brusque

Popped into this pub at lunchtime on the way back from Yorkshire. It has a lovely rustic feel to it but contemporary and welcoming. The staff were friendly and attentive but the best bit was the food! Absolutely outstanding. It took awhile to arrive but you can't rush perfection! Superb. If you want a leisurely relaxing afternoon this is the place to be. This isn't local to us but we'll definitely be back. (Can bring your dog as well). 🙂

What a Gem Hidden away is a picturesque village between three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Forest Of Bowland, Pendle and Ribble Valley. This remarkable pub had a lovely Mother's Day menu, 4 Real Ales, 3 local brews and Ghost Ship! The food was excellent, a lot of , and served as gastropub style. Cannot fault the attentatve service nor the food. But why are they charging a fiver for a tin of Guiness Zero??? That was something I was not prepared to pay. Other prices were in line with expectations of a pub of the area. Thank for making Mothers Day wonderful and at such short notice.

Waiting on staff not on the ball, we were shown to our table and waited more than 10 minutes to get a drink at the table and an hour after the starter before the main finally came. Food is average at best, and really, the whole experience was not worth it. When commanding your prices, at least back it up with good service and decent food.

Up market prices. Food quality excellent, although a little arty farty for me, maybe better for those who say they can taste the finer things in life. Worth going though to make your own mind up

I rang first, to see if they served food all day. And they did. The lady who was serving (Mandy) was really friendly and had a great sense of humour. The food was cooked well and wasn't too long in being served. The portions were good too. And the boeuf bourgignon was absolutely beautiful, with tasty creamy mash and great veg. If it wasn't 2½hrs from home, I'd come here often!

Atmospheric pub, busy with locals, good to see a pub doing well. The staff were friendly. The rooms have been refurbished but despite this the shower tray in our room, (7) had black mould around the base. There was a foul smell coming from the shower trap, I ran soapy water down it but the stink persisted. The wooden shower base was rotted and broken. This really let down the accommodation which for the rate I felt was reasonable.

We found this online when looking for somewhere to eat near where we were staying for a night. On arrival were greeted by friendly staff and given our pick of tables. Not busy but a few tables of people and it was a winter Monday night. We chose to sit by the fire which was lovely. Also lovely to see dogs are welcome. We were asked if there were any dietary requirements and when we told them my husband's no dairy (but eats meat and fish so not vegan) there was an instant check with the kitchen to check what was suitable, even offering modified desserts. He had the banana blossom (vegan alternative to fish and chips) because he'd never tried it before. It was tasty and portion size of the large was very generous. I ordered the cheese and onion pie which is made to order. Oh. My. God! The side veg and mash were perfectly prepared and delicious but the pie was probably one of the best pies I've ever had. Rich and complex filling - think the best Welsh rarebit amped up and you're getting close! Unfortunately, we were too full for a dessert but choices looked lovely. Wide selection of ales on tap and well stocked bar (pity I was driving). Shout out to Mandy for her perfect, friendly service and banter (good luck with the welding)! 10/10 would recommend and will be sure to visit when we are in the area again.

This is our third time staying and dining at the White Bull, when we stayed in December last year it was pretty run down, terrible service, ran out of drinks and the rooms were manky. Things are very different now due to the new owners. We had dinner there and it was beautiful, I had the beef bourguignon which was melt in the mouth, the service was also excellent. The room was the same as we've previously had (Henrietta) but a lot cleaner than before - it does need a new TV though as it's tiny and the remotes don't work. The breakfast was amazing - we had the large full English breakfast which was piping hot; the bacon and fried bread were especially good! They had freshly squeezed orange and apple juice as well. All in all a wonderful stay!

Great overnight stay at the white bull. The boutique room we booked was really comfortable and clean and boutique style! The pub is friendly and the breakfast was excellent quality and great value for money. Friendly and welcoming staff, the team member at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great as it asits between the historic towns of Skipton and Clitheroe and the pub itself is in a stunning countryside setting. Definitely be returning.

Once again, it was an excellent experience. Lobster a particularly good highlight! We've been several times now, and it never disappoints.
