Great little pub shame about the local talent on karaoke nights lol...

Great local pub with good atmosphere, very friendly, welcoming staff, serves a lovely pint, one of the best pubs in Romford

Had a great night for a Wednesday and kareoke with a twist of props loved it.

Don't go on karaoke night! Very annoying landlord likes to have a drink, take a spare mic and sit barside, ad-libing jokes whilst people sing. Demeaning experience. Otherwise, nice pub.

It's really nice inside and reminds me of an old pub when I was younger!! Me being over 40, the staff are very welcoming as were the owners they are lovely ..

Best thing I can say.......Not had a local since I moved from Highbury nearly 30yrs ago but I do now.........proper old fashioned hospitality.........good bar clean pumps and friendly staff and locals 👍

Great pub, great beer, great bunch of local drinkers and very welcoming and friendly staff and owners. Clean and tidy toilets a public bar with a smart dress only lounge bar a throw back to another era. Two words "Fantastic Local" a true gem in Romfords public Houses.

Popped into this pub on the off chance one day despite having lived in the area for many years after seeing how busy it was outside one Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was especially the land lady who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We’ve been back many times since and always had a pleasurable time. The clientele is older and this is an old fashioned pub with 2 very different bars. The public is more your every day working mans bar and the saloon bar is like stepping back in time. A true east end pub. They don’t serve food, but do still put out nibbles and such in a Sunday afternoon and Often have complimentary snacks. I read the some of the previous comments and was quite shocked as have never ever seen any trouble in the pub, the land lady prides herself on the cleanliness of the pub and they are super fussy about making sure that drinks are served in the appropriate glassware? Perhaps a disgruntled customer? I’m an avid TA contributor and always give fair and honest feedback. This Pub is one of the dying breeds and I for one am glad it’s not One of those chain pubs and long May it’s individuality and character continue!!!

Not sure how anyone can call this place unclean! Never had a dirty glass, a sticky table or seen the toilets anything but immaculate. Staff are always excellent. They thankfully for the rest of us they don't take any crap though...

Exceptionally quiet, yes was a monday but i think 3 people in here at um 8ish. Floor very very sticky (it did say so on leaflet outside, guess floor being resurfaced so fair enough) Barmaid pleasant, music playing at a good level off jukebox. Shame quiz machine has now gone from previous visit. A good pool table and darts board still remain here. Edit. Floor has been resurfaced with a nice carpet, prices remain good, was quite busy too.

I first started going to this pub when I was 19 (now 26) and noticed the decay in manners, decency and integrity grip this pub as the years went on.Fights are now common place in this pub where the odd disagreement usually ends up in fisticuffs.The average age of customers who go here are early 40s onwards and their array of alcoholic drinks on offer are very limited from what I can remember. The only good thing about them is the pool on offer as they have some decent players.There are better options than this one here and if you ask local people within Romford of their experiences in this pub it is usually bad.Avoid at all costs!

I visited here on the 15/11/18 for a few birthday drinks with a few mates and staff were extremely rude a few glasses wasn't very clean and they huffed and puffed when we asked for a fresh glass.

Great service and great fun as always

I've been here just the once with some friends and was racially abused by a customer. Staff did not help and said there was nothing that can be done. It really did stink of old men and was made to feel unwelcome. Not recommended!

I went here 7 months ago and was racially abused by a man in there. I complained to the bar staff and they just said 'theres nothing we can do'. People who I know who have been in there have said there are alot of rude men in this pub who bad mouth women. Not recommended.

My son and myself have been to this pub a few times it's lovely and clean and my son aged 25 he has autism loves it so if we go to romford he always wants to go to wheatsheaf pub beer garden is great we went there a fortnight ago and as we had a drink a lady behind bar put some snacks on our table my son believed he had to eat all of them as she had left them on our table I did advise him otherwise lol but he likes this pub it's our favourite place to go x

One of the last traditional pubs in the area compete with traditional punters. More a lager place rather than ale. Dart board and Pool table in main bar. Has a really nice snug bar which is worth a visit. Di the landlady is super friendly.

The best pub in the area by far. Run professionally, yet friendly. The place is immaculately clean, has a well stocked bar and the service is excellent. Nice outdoor seating area at the back too. Love this place.

My friend and I popped in here to watch the big match on the Greek sports channel 'nova sports 3'. There's a weird feeling you get when you walk in, can't put my finger on it. The place is dated, but clean. Service was quick-ish. Some loud-mouthed, ignorant, xenophobic middle aged woman killed the atmosphere. Shame.
