Absolute gem of a pub! Saw a few negative reviews regarding a funeral party being turned away, and while I can understand their frustrations, this being Greenock I've lost count of the number of funeral parties in pubs that didn't turn into a mass brawl. Just an unfortunate fact.

Refused service to good friends, who was were mourning a colleague, the place is a disgrace ☹️

Several Ex Soldiers friends had just been to a local funeral for a fellow veteran and had popped into this pub for a beer after the funeral and were turned away because of their dress. They were wearing suits and ties and wearing medals. Disgraceful!!

Turned away as wearing military medals after a comrades funeral, disgusting treatment by female bar staff, avoid!

Shame on all the staff for refusing to let ex soldiers celebrate the life of a friend who had passed away, all because they were wearing black suits, ties and medals. Avoid this place like the plague..

Just to let local people know, that the Greenock Wesburn bar does not welcome ex soldiers with suits Medals or black ties, celebrate the life of a fallen comrade, a total disgrace, you should be ashamed, people to stay clear of this pub, shame on you.

It was my first time in the westburn for about ten years and, I must say I got a pleasant surprise, it was a friendly experience compared to years ago when you had arguments and skirmishes, and that's just to get to the bar, 🥺 yes well done to the the proprietors who run it now, I'll call in soon for another refreshment.........I love a happy atmosphere, as the song goes.🍻🍷🍸🥂🍺.

Not been in there 40 years. Surprisingly not much layout changed. Still it was a friendly and relaxing place.

Great venue with a more respectable older crowd and fantastic value for money. Bar staff are efficient, friendly and take the time to remember your drinks order for the next time you need to be served!
