Absolutely banging Sunday roast!! Has jumped into my top 3 for sure. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was impeccable. Had the pork belly, crackling was exceptional, potatoes were out of this world. Cauli cheese comes as standard - as it should (but often doesn’t). Also thought it was pretty good value for money for the quality and quantity of food - £80 for two roasts, 2 large red wines and a beer and incl tip. Will definitely be back.

We came to W B Yeats a few weeks ago for a Sunday roast lunch as it had the best reviews in the area and overall it delivered on most fronts. The eating area looks spacious and airy but it became rather cramped as other diners arrived. Service was good, but not all utensils were completely clean. My roast pork with trimmings was actually very good and quantities were just right. The stuffing, potatoes and burnt apple sauce were nice accompanies. Just a shame that the crackling, though it looked good, was rather chewy. My son's opinion about the pork was similar, but my wife was less excited about her chicken which was rather dry and bland. Prices for London were reasonable. Overall we were happy with our choice to eat here and would recommend W B Yeats to others for Sunday lunch.

I've come to the WB Yeats twice for drinks both on Friday and Saturday evenings. The pub has a nice interior and local feel and there is a reasonable, but not stunning, selection of beer. Prices are high for the area and some of the less regularly poured beers don't always taste as good as they do at other pubs. This is not a terrible pub, however for drinking I think there are better pubs in the area.

I have had the great pleasure of celebrating my recent May Day birthday at the WB Yeats Pub in Fonthill Road, Finsbury Park N4 - by dining there twice in one week! the first was on the day itself early in the evening with my lovely girl friend and second on the Sunday with my family for a full Roast lunch. The food is superb - as good as it gets and must stand up there with the Michelin starred alternatives but at a reasonable price and in a setting that is so comfortable and informal. Then, if you throw in the service by front of house man - Angus and the supporting cast of Becky and the other guys - then you get a really nice feeling of being welcome and well looked after - which really adds to the vibe of the WBY. We love it! We were booked in to celebrate my girl friends birthday next week at the prestigious Dining Room for lunch at the National Portrait Gallery but after the two meals we had this last week to celebrate my birthday, my girl friend has asked me to switch the reservation to dinner at the WBY! It's brilliant and it's so good to have such a wonderful place to enjoy a treat or a drink after watching the Gunners at the Emirates - when sometimes you need a place to revive your spirits. Many thanks to Angus, the Chefs and everyone at the WBY!

Visited recently with family and I was so impressed with the standard of the roast dinner. Two of us had the beef rump and it was beautifully tender. Two shared the whole roast chicken which was expertly carved at the table. Lamb and pork roast also went down a treat. Massive Yorkshire puddings, great gravy and decent veg too. Save room for dessert. The chocolate fondant is delicious! Excellent service too so a very enjoyable afternoon. Money well spent!

He estado exaltar desde entonces.

Our friend has recently moved to the area (we've tipped him off of this place) and we had a bite to eat here before visiting him. We'd booked a table in advance but it seemed to mainly be people in drinking at the times we went. We booked for 5:15, however, we were a bit disappointed that only the brunch menu was available until 6pm. We got some bread and olives as a snack until we could order mains at 6, but this seemed a bit odd in somewhere like London where you might have an early dinner before heading to a show or something. Although the brunch menu looked good, we wanted a bit more than posh eggs on toast! Luckily it was a nice pub and we were quite content waiting. Mains were lovely, I had the miso chicken and my boyfriend had the steak. Steak could've been a bit more seasoned, but oh my, the fries were amazingly crispy. Portion was good and price was a lot better than expected for London, came to just over £50 for mains, a couple of drinks each and bread/olives. I think it was the manager who was attentive and polite, but I found one of the other staff who seemed to have a towel in the back of his trousers more concerned with talking to the locals he knew. These included a family with toddlers who kept running around, including round the back of the bar in a full pub. Was a bit annoying and ruined the atmosphere a little bit, but otherwise a very pleasant meal and will be back when next visiting friends.

3 of us popped in on Friday evening for a pint, I have only been in once before and wanted to give the place another try. It certainly has changed since it was the Duke of Edinburgh pub in the past, I feel it sits in between a pub and restaurant which is not a bad thing if that's what it's aiming for.We sat outside which was cold even with the heaters on and the ashtrays had not been emptied for some time. The WB Yeats is without the shadow of a doubt the best pub in the Finsbury Park area!! And I'm not just saying this because I'm usually sitting (or dancing) at the bar almost every weekend. From the moment you enter its doors, you are welcomed by a sense of community created by Colin (the pub manager) and his crew of friendly (and often-times hilariously crazy) staffers. The food (cooked by resident chef, the genius Chef Killian Lynch) is absolutely superb!! So much better than your typical "pub grub". Where else will you get potted rabbit with sourdough toast, ox cheek, XO chicken, venison etc, all cooked to perfection?? Even the skinny fries taste wonderful!! There's always a selection of great ales which changes regularly so you're never left bored, and really good bands play there regularly on weekends (check out their Facebook and Twitter pages). This pub really brings people together like a true community pub should. I am so so proud to call it my local. You really should check it out for yourselves!

It was a trek to Finsbury Park, but so worth the effort. Snigdha, a young professionally trained chef has started her food residency at the pub. Her food, in Snigdha's words is a fusion between Indian and French. While the starting point of her food is Indian, her style, including her plating is all French restaurant style. There were three of us, so we decided to order different dishes from the menu and try as many of her dishes as possible. We ordered three starters ~ crispy okra with balsamic reduction, whole leaf spinach tempura chaat with sweet tamarind and yogurt and the masala chips. Now Snigdha's nibbles are perfect. We loved all three, specially the okra and the spinach. Snigdha has taken two very regular (and often boring) vegetables from the Indian kitchen and given them a magic make-over. Both are great examples of fusion food at it's best. The masala chips were spicy and flavoured just right. All three were a treat with our drinks. For the mains we ordered chicken mappas with basmati rice, warm spiced lamb meatballs, and apricot and paneer koftas. Three completely different dishes with different flavours. According to Snigdha she has taken classic Indian dishes and given them a French make-over. If the layers of flavours in a curry overwhelms you, these dishes with cleaner, more European flavours are a great starting point. Though stuffed we moved onto the dessert and ordered her chocolate torte with chilli cream. Now that was fabulous and among the three of us the torte flew off the plate. Snigdha is a talent to watch, let's hope she continues her fusion magic! The pub looks new and clean with big windows all around, the stuff were very friendly, and by the time we left around 9 in the evening, it was buzzing. A nice place to catch up on drinks with your mates and of course munch on Snigdha's nibbles.

I got invited here by a friend of the new cook - wasn't really sure what to expect. I was blown away! We had one of each starter - and they were all good (vodka with pani puri!) but the spinach tempura clearly stood out and we had seconds! The veggie mains of kofta had a surprise at the centre and was unapologetic in its spiciness. The lamb was good, I was told, the fish better and the chicken fantastic! The desserts again were unusual - while the chocolate tart had a pleasant kick of chilli, the pineapple carpaccio with coconut icecream was stunning. This is not in my part of town, but I just might go back there for the tempura and the carpaccio!

We have been to this pub many times since it opened, the Sunday lunch is delicious & the snacks just as good. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome, even better when the sport is on! Good Music & drinks. One of the best places to meet up with friends.

Came here with friends on St. Patrick's weekend. The place was pretty quiet and surprisingly few people dining but food on the whole was really lovely. The usual chef was apparently not there so they didn't have their usual menu (Sunday carvery roast I believe) but I was not disappointed. It felt like food made with love and care. One friend thought the burger portion size was a bit small but the rest were happy.

Popped in here a few weeks back to watch the arsenal game with a few mates.....really comfortable setting to watch a game with a few pints. Also, when a few of us got peckish, we tried the food, which was very tasty....will definitely be back next time I'm in the area...

Don't understand why this place isn't more popular. It's a usual local gastropub serving a good selection of wines and beers and some robust British cooking including a good selection of burgers. The food is done to a good standard and is a value price: we had two mains and a glass of wine for £32.Anywhere else the place would be packed in an evening but I'm not complaining as I get a table!

If this was slightly less off the beaten track, it would be one of the busiest pubs in London! It is the best local I have ever had! It has so much charm and character, helped by really friendly staff a great selection of beers and a REALLY GOOD kitchen. I've eaten there 3 times now, each time a different menu and each time really high quality food cooked with care! Get in there now people, once this place gets 'discovered' it's going to be hard to get a table!

This pub really puts the cherry on the cake of moving to Finsbury Park.It is an amazing local, the staff are friendly and it doesn't matter what your purpose for going is (with family, friends, or just for a quiet pint), this place is super welcoming! On top of that, the regularly changing food menu has never even come close to disappointing me - it is AMAZING.

We have eaten here several times now and the food has been very good... battered fish, burgers and various vegetarian. All very good indeed. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a nice atmosphere. We ate very similar dishes last night at a nearby pub which was disappointing and promoted me to review the W B Yeats.

Went for a friends birthday lunch. Recommended it because it has the best beer selection in the Finsbury Park area but was even more impressed with the food. I hope it gets discovered by more so they can afford to maintain the quality.

Quick visit to the recently refurbished pub in otherwise slightly shabby Fonthill Road. Outside seating area with flowers + awning; inhabited largely by smokers. Food looks interesting and the starter of potted beef at £4.50 was good value. Will be going back as it is 5 minutes walk away.
