We called in here on our way back from thors cave, looking for a tasty treat because we were starving! We had a ham salad cob- very tasty. A steak and Stilton toastie again very tasty. We got one of the peak pasty’s to have for our tea later on. I can honestly say the nicest pasty we’ve ever tasted, we shared it because they are exceptionally large for one person. We also had a Mocha, a can of orange and 2 slices of cake. Oh and two star bars all for £23! Bargain and great value for money. And even more so because everything is as so tasty! Thank you lovely staff , we will be back.

Great little shop & deli, very useful I imagine if you're camping nearby. We sat outside and had a coffee which was a very good brew indeed. They also have a assortment of brunch snacks which they heat for you. I had a cheese & onion filled Derbyshire oatcake and my partner had a toastie which were very reasonably priced and delicious. It's a popular spot and a quirky, characterful building. No criticisms, but I can see this as selling more of the plentiful farm produce there must be available from the many nearby farms there are around, though maybe they have certain bulk sale requirements so maybe it isn't possible. My partner often rides through the village with his motorbike chums and this or the tearoom opposite is where they usually stop.

Popped in on the way through to Yorkshire in order to buy essentials. Stocked up on delicious Bakewell puddings and clotted cream (yummy) and also bought a homemade cake (again delicious). The staff are really friendly and we had freshly ground coffee to go, which we drank on the picnic benches outside the shop.

Each year they've provided take-out packed lunches for our large group's weekend walking activities in the local hills. Great selection of reasonably priced sandwiches and pies - always a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended - we've never been disappointed.

This is a gem of a shop! I was delighted to find excellent quality food at very reasonable prices, as well as proper take away coffee and home made cakes - all served by an incredibly warm and friendly coupon ladies. The chocolate tiffin was an absolute bargain and tasted fantastic. Thank you!

I popped in here on Saturday to get a few bits and bobs. The lady was SO friendly and helpful and I had a gorgeous flat white and sat outside for a while. They have a great selection of cakes, parties, sausage rolls, pasties plus veg, lovely bread and general goods, craft beers etc. Can't wait to pop back for another coffee soon too!

Lovely little shop, we arrived late on a friday afternoon and wanted some bits. Lovely friendly staff. Reasonable priced bakery items. The sausage rolls were delicious and tray bakes were a bargain and so tasty. Some bits were a bit more expensive than a supermarket but what do u expect in a lovely village shop.

Might be more expensive that Waitrose but you are on holiday, and you deserve some treats! Oatcakes were delicious.

A beautiful traditional little shop with the best latte I have had all week! It is a really quirky nice little shop. The locals use it lots. While I was sat outside drinking my latte, many dashed in to buy bread! Nice to see a local shop being used by locals!

Stopped here while waiting to be able to check in to the dreadful Charles Cotton Hotel and had a very nice cup of tea. A lovely little village store. Kind and attentive staff and a great asset to Hartington.

The worst pork pie I've ever tasted. The crust was thin and not traditional pork pie crust. No jelly and the "pork" was dry and bready! The dog did however find it a treat.

Despite being quite a small shop it offers a great choice of virtually everything. It has somebody behind the counter helping you chose and also making fresh coffee. Very good

Really lovely food, you wouldn't know it from the outside/inside - it's like any other pub but the food was really good. Had the best dessert - rice pudding with apple and nuts - to die for.

We started our day here and enjoyed a light bite choice off the menu and a drink, the place was really cozy and funky, had a good selection of food and drink on offer and I would happily visit again. The food cost us £19 and a large wine & pint came to £11
