I can’t really remember, but I did visit this place back in 2022. I can fondly remember that the staff had given brilliant customer service and even were happy to oblige in taking my phone to take a couple selfie.

Excellent all around. Food was really good and Nadeem, our waiter was superb. The decorations and atmosphere of the place is really nice and we could see the sunset through the window. I would highly recommend to visit if you are nearby.

The second time I visited the restaurant, the food is excellent me and my family visited on the 19th of April. We couldn’t hear each other talk. It was far too busy and there was two big parties that had way too much to drink and ruined it for a lot of people that was in there.

The chicken pakoras were the perfect start: crisp, perfectly spiced, and served with beautifully presented dips and garnishes that added colour and flair to the plate. The daal was a standout – comforting, richly flavoured, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The Lahore chicken was a highlight of the night – full of bold, smoky flavour with a gorgeous balance of spice and tanginess. The naan breads were soft and fluffy, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of sauce. Every dish felt freshly made to order – nothing reheated, nothing rushed. Nadeem was excellent and really friendly - we celebrated part of our honeymoon here and were made to feel very welcome. The food was excellent and there is a great amount of choice for starters and mains - highly recommended!

We booked in advance as we'd heard great things about this restaurant. When we turned up Saturday 5th April that couldn't find our booking but we're able to accommodate us. The food was disappointing, even though it was marked as mild it was very hot, I couldn't eat mine. The atmosphere was spiked by the fire alarm going off and no one seemed to be able to turn it off, after about 20 minutes we left. We wouldn't be rushing back

Amazing food by Nadem, but the curry on the side was extremely thick with no spice. However, I would rate everything else 10 stars if I could.

Genuinely some of the nicest Indian cuisine I have had within the UK. This paired with the amazing service from all the stuff and friendly atmosphere made for an overall great evening.

Fantastic food in a nice environment, best in the area

Fabulous first time eating here tonight (it won't be our last). What a find. Beautiful food, nice menu options with a lot of different dishes, well labelled for dietary needs. The service was exceptional, we were made to feel so welcome, and the restaurant itself is lovely, we had a great table looking over the park. You can tell that everyone working here really cares about giving their customers a fantastic experience. Highly recommend it and i look forward to visiting again.

I had an amazing meal at from start to finish, everything was perfect. The meal began with crispy, light poppadoms and a beautifully unique beetroot and coconut samosa—such a delicious combination of flavors! For the main course, I had the Balti Palak Aloo Dahl, which was packed with rich, warming spices and cooked to perfection. The flavors blended beautifully, and the dish had just the right balance of heat and depth. The pilau rice was fluffy and fragrant, making it the perfect accompaniment. Never fails to deliver. We travel to matlock from wakefield, and this is a must visit. Superb Indian. The tuk tuks at the front have vanished, which gave it a little charm.

Worst Indian restaurant I have ever been , I am a South Indian ( lived in india for 21 years ) , have never tasted a worst Indian food in my life - I asked for lamb biriyani , what I got was a mixture of lamb chicken prawn , which tasted horrible , i ordered a lime soda ( lime juice with soda with salt/ sugar) , I was given a slice of lime with ice with soda water . The paratha bread were burnt as well, stay away from this place

My wife and I had stayed for the weekend in Matlock. We were told about the restaurant and thought we would go in to see if we could eat without booking. They managed to seat us straight away. The food was lovely, we had five different dishes and the portions were more than enough for two people.

Turned up Sunday evening after seeing the good reviews. Not busy, only about 4 tables. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly waiters. Unfortunately the service was slow and perhaps unsurprisingly the food was not authentic. Quite pricey too.

Me and my family went to mazzi for my 18th birthday meal. They had set the table with birthday confetti and a happy birthday banner! The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was great!!! Would 100% recommend this amazing restaurant!!!

Food was really dry, service was incredibly slow. Aloo paratha hardly had any aloo in it. Jalfreezi tasted of nothing. Mixed grill was not even a mixed grill, seekh kebab was massively overcooked and looked like it was forgotten in the pan. Everything just looked like sadness

We ordered a takeaway as we were passing the restaurant. Wow! The food was one of the best curries I've ever had (& I've had a lot)! Not very oily or greasy like some places, but really good quality and obviously prepared freshly. The food was on the hotter side of spice, but that's ok for me. Fantastic place and I'll make a detour in future to use again.

We booked Maazi to come cater at my sisters hen do one evening. The food was served in warming trays, and crockery provided. Ali arrived promptly to set up the meal and was an absolute delight throughout. Would definitely recommend to anyone hosting a party.

Cold plates, warm cobra. Missing king prawns from 4 mixed grills, that were eventually delivered…but were so over seasoned and spiced it was just a real shame. Naan breads delivered mid main course that were over cooked. Just very average. Real shame as the restaurant was not busy on a Friday night.

Whilst visiting Matlock we found out that you shouldn't leave it too late to try to eat out, and finally found Maazi. The welcome was warm and the decor lovely, but the food was superlative. The menu has most of the old favourites as well as a selection of dishes that don't grace your standard Indian menu. I chose the Rajasthani Railway Lamb, which was wonderful. The other three members of the party each chose different dishes but we all agreed that it was probably the best Indian meal that any of us have had - all at a very reasonable price. If I lived in Matlock I'd happily try to work my way through the menu. Highly recommended.

Food was great and every meal for each of our party was presented well and no complaints about the taste and quality. The service was to a good level when being served but found ourselves occasionally sat waiting for the table to be cleared. Atmosphere is as you would expect it, fairly modern with an authentic feel

I would not recommend this place at all. Hair on the starter dish but the waitress apologised and brought a fresh plate which was kind of her. We ordered a Lamb Nihari but it was not at all a Lamb Nihari so we thought it might have been the wrong order but it wasnt. The Nihari was uncooked and was extremely bland. The Biryani was okay but I wasnt aware that biryanis have peppers in it. As a Asian Pakistani I was very disappointed in the food which was served to us. Me and my husband wanted to have a romantic dinner but it turned out to be the worst experience and a waste of money.

Very disappointed completely different experience from eating in. All the food arrived cold to lukewarm. Absolutely no garlic or cheese in the ‘garlic & cheese’ naan breads! I will definitely not order for delivery again.
