We met some friends for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant Allium and stayed the night.The food was exceptional and this young chef is certainly talented.Daniele ,patron and purveyor of incredible ,rare wine was a wonderful host.The experience is more akin to having dinner at a friends Uber trendy home.Our overnight stay rounded off a perfect evening in what must be York’s most exclusive hotel.

I booked the Tasting Menu during Plant Based Week for my husbands birthday. We’ve been lucky enough to experience some incredible fine dining restaurants all over the world and were blown away by what Chef Luke Sanderson had prepared. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every part of The Vices experience had been considered in meticulous detail. The environment was relaxed, sophisticated and extremely design focused. Daniel was the perfect host for our evening, making perfect wine recommendations to match each course and making us feel perfectly at home. Chef Sanderson and Daniel both introduced various dishes with extreme knowledge and passion which made the evening very enjoyable. Firmly recommend this venue and experience and will look forward to returning.

We visited the Alium Restaurant for the Vegan menu. I am pescatarian hence we went for this menu. Wow is all I can say. The food, wine flight, and service was incredible. The chef Luke came out to explain a number of the dishes personally and was incredibly helpful. We have tried to book for the next Vegan week but they haven’t released the dates yet! I am fortunate enough to have eaten all over the world in some incredible restaurants, this beats them all and it is in our home town!

We had enjoyed following development progress and so once launched we were very keen to experience The Vices. We were not disappointed. From arrival to our departure, the entire team were exceptional and left no hospitality stone unturned. The environment felt exclusive, the service was friendly and impressive, the food inspirational and delicious and with a wine list of dreams, we enjoyed our dining experience at Allium! We wish Daniele and his dedicated team every future success! Thank you so much. We will return.

I’ve been fortunate enough to visit The Vices York and experience the owners’ true visions of opulence, quality, and attention to detail. The hotel itself is stunning, with each room dedicated to its very own luxury theme. The tasting menu at Allium was also absolutely exquisite and it was so exciting to try so many new dishes and seasonal ingredients. I can’t wait to return to do it all again!

We visited The Alium restaurant for the tasting menu. What a fabulous experience! Each dish was exquisite and paired beautfully with Italian wines. What our host Daniel doesn't know about wine isn't worth knowing. The ambience of the whole place is relaxing and luxurious. It's amazing to see the fabulous conversion of this Victorian Police station. I would highly recommend it!
